I'll take one of each thanks!
I'll also be looking for the Mortal Kombat counterparts.

Hmm, not to my liking. Too.... cartoony, I guess.
Mortal Kombat you say? For real? That could be something, if done in a cool realistic style....

Oh no you won't like them then. They are even less realistic than Street Fighter figs.

Oh :( Well, saves me some money then :) I've seen wicked cust... er... kustoms of MK characters, in Marvel Legends scale as wel as 1:18 scale. Would've been super to have a couple of guys like SZ, Scorpion, Rayden and the likes.
-
I had hoped to pick up a few of the MK and SF figures but i am not feeling either.
-
Yeah, very cartoony... but in this scale, I'm kinda interested. I might get some for customs.
Is there any information on when these are supposed to be released?
-
I think they're already out. I could swear I saw them at Toys R Us a few weeks back.

there are four 2 pack sets and you can pre-order them all now at TRU.com I really like most of them. The 4th set, Seth vs. Crimson (not pictured above), is the least appealing to me as I dont know the characters.
11/21/11 estimated release date.
and you are right, so far the MK characters look more cartoony

I just read a report over at Rebelscum.com that someone did find these at TRU already. I will be on the lookout.

There was even a report of that right here at JD... ;)

Found and bought the whole wave at TRU Sunday. Great figures if you liked the game, but WATCH OUT and look carefully at them, a lot of the figures were given 2 right arms or 2 right hands. Really weird, don't know who was on quality control there. But if you find packs with all the right body parts, the figures rock!!
-
I saw them and passed.

I saw them and passed.
Were you a huge fan of the game though?
I was a die-hard player for years, and find these irresistable.
-
I did - I was addicted to it for a couple years back in the 1990s.
Really though, the only line of toys I collect is Star Wars, and to a lesser degree, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. If these looked less animated, I might have bought them though, because I've bought a few random figures from other toy lines when I like how they look.

got my Ryu vs Sagat set yesterday via TRU.com since these still have not shown up in my local TRU
Sagat had a couple of paint chips on his chest - stinks but not a huge deal. He also had 2 right fists packaged in the bottom of the package. I may just keep it though and give him one closed fist and one open fist.
Ryu looked pretty decent overall
-
I found Ryu vs Sagat and Ken vs Blanka today at TRU.
I grabbed one of each. Out of the 4 I have now seen only one pack Sagat has the correct fists - I am exchanging my incorrect one for it.
Ken/Blanka was just ok - but I am happy to add them to my collection.
I will probably wait and use my TRU bucks after the holidays to get the Guile set if I can wait it out. It doesnt look like they are moving too fast on TRU.com
-
good
let em sit on em till they have to sell em for a reasonable price.
-
$15 for 2 figures with unique sculpts is unreasonable? I think it is pretty decent given the cost of 2 action figures from any other line. I am just willing to wait on Guile since his pack isn't selling - but I do want him.
Now the Mortal Kombat line at TRU - that is a ripoff at the moment. For some insane reason they are selling the individually carded Klassic ninjas for $15 each when you can buy a pack of 6 for $35 and one of the ninjas (Rain) in that pack is supposedly only going to be out exclusively to that pack
-
we shall see what the market will support, Ill give $10 for a two pack after tax
-
It sounds like this line may be done already according to BBTS
