Yeah, thanks for those pics, that must have been time consuming.  I think the Tauntaun was overdoing it a bit J/K, very cool.

I think they are all great figures, I can't wait for the commander and gunner to show up in NY.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: EE exclusive Clone Trooper 4-packs!

I preordered one set of these when they first went up for sale, but to be honest, as cool as the figures are, I've considered cancelling it lately.  I don't know if it is the fact that I'm a little more into ROTS clones right now, or that collecting spending is tight enough as it is, or a combination of both...but I'm not sure right now they are worth it to me or not.  I still haven't cancelled them, because I'm afraid I'll end up regretting it, but I've definitely been thinking about it.  I just have one set of the four, non-damaged, colored clones on order...but at $8-$10 each, I'm not so sure.

I understand completly.  If they had a set with the current clone uniform, I'd be much more willing to buy it.

I just wish they had better case selection.  I was thinking about the case but I want more clean white clones than anything else.

A perfect case would be 10 clean white clone sets and two color clean clone sets.  that would be worth $300 to me and I would absolutly buy it.  I have no use for dirty clones and an army of seargents and officers.

My question posed would've been, "why the hell are these costing $10 a figure when sold as individual packs, instead of being a reasonable $5-$6 a figure except when you buy by the case?", or something to that effect. :)

I think the price just has to do with the fact that it's Entertainment Earth.  Their prices are always out there.

All comes down to money.  Star Wars is a fan driven property and as much as we'd like to think that one Super articulated clone at the beginning of the AOTC period would have made them a fortune and saved them sculpting prices, the fact is that many collectors will buy and troop build every single pose, paint and head variation they come out with.  Let's not forget that a five point articulated figure is only six parts to cast as opposed to 15 part articulation, get the picture.

If you could have bought a thousand super articulated clones when AOTC came out, then all you'd need to do is buy a few of the new ones, but instead everyone went out and bought each new wave hoping they'd be better than the next and Hasbro just watched the money roll in because what if they didn't make a better one next time and who wants to pay Ebay troop building costs if they missed out at retail.

I don't see SW figures slow movement into articulation as the company finally realizing it's the way to go.  I see it as a plan that they have had for years now and if you ask me they're probably sitting pretty and smiling all the way to the bank.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Any ROTS figures you will pass on?

It's funny, but I've bought ever single figure on the checklist (Excluding the force battlers and such)  except for Obi "Jedi Kick".  I took one look at his leg and cringed.

Welcome to JD!  Definitely some nice looking dio-story pix there!  Looking forward to seeing more of your work.  We've got a few other Photo Novelists showing their wares here, so we're currently contemplating adding a Photo Novel sub forum into the regular customizing board.  We'll keep you posted on that as it develops...

So enjoy the site, and we'll look forward to chatting with you more around the boards here.  Holler if you have any questions!

- Matt

Just speaking from experience here.  At least when it came to the JOE boards so many people miss out on Dio-stories, (or as you guys call them Photo-novels) when there is a dedicated section.  I can't tell you how many people really dig these when they get into them and by giving them there own place on the site, a lot of those people that really liking dio-stories will never even see them.  It's amazing to me how often someone that I know and have chatted with on numorous occasions will stunble upon my site and be amazed that they had no idea that Dio-stories existed and how great they were.  People are strange.

Granted, a section dedicated to them would be great, but just to play devils advocate here...  If a Dio takes place during the clone wars?  Wouldn't it make sense that collectors of the clone wars figures might be interested?  That goes for any part of the Star Wars universe.  And how many of those people might have never event thought to check out the part of the forum called "Photo-Novels"?

Just my two cents from the experiences I've had in a collector community that thrives on Dio-stories.   Take it for what it's worth.

WOW, now that's impressive.

The sheer size of it.

Do I dare ask?  Do the legs move?

This is very impressive. it reminds me a lot of the old Robotech episodes, when it comes to the narration.  The sets are also very nice, the Clones looked great in the jungle scenes.

Very Nice!

Yeah, and I don't think they've really shipped much yet like the Boga and BARC Speeder.  Should start showing up though in better quantities.

Get 'em while you can.   :)

 :P

You called it, my TRU was stocked with these today, I now have three, just one more to go and I'm happy.

Our Clones need better ground support, that's all there is to it.

I'd buy one and easily would lay down $60 for it.  Heck, maybe more if it's a good scale.

The way I see it, this figure may not be perfect, but he's darn close.  I grabbed 12 of him and when the SA clone comes out I'll get as many as I can.  However, I am predicting that the SA clone will be hard to find, so I want to make sure I stock up on the current one, just in case.

At least I know why I can't find them anywhere if everyone is troop building them.  I'm going to shot for 4 of them.
