The Watchmen trailer ran in front of Batman last night and I was blown out of my seat by it. It looks so incredible I can't even stand it.

Watchmen does look fantastic. If anyone can do that graphic novel justice, it's Zach Snyder.

I e-mailed the Watchmen trailer link to my friend last night, his reply on the trailer... JESUS FREAKIN' CHRIST!!!!!! I SQUEED MY PANTS!

Amazing trailer. Can't wait.

That trailer was confusing. I had never even heard of them before. Heck at first I thought it was a paraody because the guy in the batman get up....but there was nothing funny about it lol.

It would probably be less confusing, if you actually read the graphic novel on which it was based on...
-
It is, as billed, the best graphic novel of all time. Any comic shop should have it in stock.

Here, have a copy. ;D

Fan-*******-tastic.
PS - Silk Spectre gives me the hawt...
PSS - Think this film warrants it's own thread? Admittingly, it's probably going to be a cult film and just the fanboys will eat it up (at least until positive word of mouth), so the average movie goer won't see it like The Dark Knight or Iron Man, but I think it has enough fans on this site to get it's own thread.
-
Apparently a new Watchmen trailer variant is out on Sky Movies.
new Watchmen trailer (http://movies.sky.com/world-exclusive-brand-new-watchmen-trailer)
new While it contains many scenes that have appeared in previous Watchmen trailers, we're pretty sure we've spotted Rorschach as a child, Dollar Bill and his cape and the original Silk Spectre...
So much better when they play "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning", fits the Watchmen well. 8)
-
Also, someone has posted the footage/trailer that was originally shown at Comic-Con (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szwxElvYzMg&fmt=18) this year. It may be old news, but it was something I hadn't seen before.
-
To me having never read or heard of the graphic novel before, the Watchmen movie just looks weird and random. Nothing looks recognizable and I have no idea what the plot would be. I don't see it as being a commerical success since the general movie goer doesn't know who these super heros are.

I watched the latest cut of Tales from the Black Freighter today. :)

I'm really looking forward to this. Zack Snyder and Jackie Earle Haley alone are brilliant choices.

My point is most people are not going to read the graphic novel and therefore have no connection to these characters and will not see this movie. It looks strickly like a fanboy only movie. I don't think it will do as well as a typical Spiderman or Batman movie. People know Marvel and DC characters enought to actually know who the characters are because of television. These guys look like a throwback to some 40s comic book or a rip off of some Marvel characters. Granted it looks neat but still I have no idea from the preview alone what it is all about.
-
The plot of the original comics was pretty much a mystery until the next to last issue. I hope they don't reveal too much in the previews... it'd ruin the experience.
PS: Rob, you suck.
-
These guys look like a throwback to some 40s comic book or a rip off of some Marvel characters.
That's funny because that's exactly what they are. In fact, I don't think they're a rip off. If I remember the history of the project correctly, the characters were all failed comic book characters that DC owned and were trying to have re-birthed. The challenge to Moore was - "can you take these characters and give them new life?"

That's not exactly how it happened. Moore initially pitched using existing heroes, but DC balked. So Moore created brand new characters loosely based on existing ones.

That's right, thanks Bill.

Thanks for posting that Dale. Great song, and it fit the trailer perfectly. I have admit, although it probably sounds blasphemous as a comic reader, I've never actually read the Watchmen either. I've been aware of it since I read comics as a kid, but just never picked up a copy. I think I'll try to pick up the TPB next time I order from Amazon, and get it read prior to the movie finally. I had heard before that Moore originally wanted to use established comic characters, but had to go create news ones (based loosely on previous ones). I was curious, has it ever been revealed which characters he wanted to use originally? I thought I heard Rorschach was based on The Question, but I wasn't sure of the others.
-
Yes, Moore wanted to use the Charlton Comics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlton_Comics) heroes that DC had acquired -
The Comedian = Peacemaker
Doctor Manhattan = Captain Atom
Nite Owl = Blue Beetle
Ozymandias = Thunderbolt
Rorschach = Mr A / The Question
Silk Spectre = not from Charlton, but based on Black Canary / Phantom Lady

When we started working on the Black Freighter I was told this might be an issue... I'd forgotten all about it until this news broke the other day.
Insanity.
-
So if it's delayed, you're gonna hook us all up with copies, right? ;)

And the list of reasons why I hate Fox just grows and grows. Do they really know they may, in fact, be the single most hated entity in entertainment next to the Weinsteins?
E...
-
So if it's delayed, you're gonna hook us all up with copies, right? ;)
Sure, if I want to lose my job and most likely face prosecution from Warner Brothers... :-*
-
I can't believe Fox wouldn't be content to sit back and take a slice of the profits, especially if someone else already spent all the cash to film and promote it. What could be accomplished by blocking the release of this movie?
-
I'm just guessing, but if they really own it, they can screw Warner by blocking the release, effectively causing Warner to lose everything they spent on it (as in, they spent a few hundred million and won't make a dime of it back).
They'll probably aim to get all of the profits, not a slice. If they do that, Warner's only option will be to appeal the ruling, or to potentially break even at best, while watching hundreds of millions of dollars in profit go to FOX for nothing.
It could get very nasty.
-
Don't suppose there's any chance this is all just some kinda publicity stunt, is there? Please? Maybe? Honestly, I can't imagine that there's not a way the two studios could work some kind of deal, and talk of preventing release is just pre-trial posturing. Or maybe that's just more wishful thinking....
-
These studio chiefs have major egos. They won't hesitate to screw another studio, therefore, there is a chance that Watchmen may never see the light of day... in the theater.
However, I'm certain that a digital copy will hit the net should the project get buried.
Fox will agree to release the movie only if Warner takes a hideously bad deal, so in the end, it's going to be WB's call.
-
I think Fox could come up smelling like roses if they'd force Snyder to bring back the squid before they'll allow the movie to be released... ;D

So definitely no squid. A bit disappointed in that, but I can deal with it.

Judge Will Decide Jan 20th If Watchmen Can Be Released
Categories: News Chat | By John | 29
The drama surrounding the Watchmen movie is getting ready to hit it’s climax. As some of you may not know, Fox studios has taken legal action against Warner Bros to prevent WB from releasing the movie. The reason… WB made the movie they didn’t own all the rights too… turns out Fox owned the right (all or in part) and never gave their consent for WB to proceed with making the movie. Fox tried to communicate with WB about it, but apparently WB just ignored them until the movie was done and Fox had to go to court with it.
Recently the Judge ruled that Fox did indeed own rights in Watchmen. Now, WB and Fox have agreed to bypass the jury and allow for the judge in the matter to make a ruling on if Watchmen can be released in theaters or not March 6th. It doesn’t look good at the moment.
The judge is set to rule on the matter on January 20th. On that day, we’ll know if the Watchmen will or will not be released in theaters March 6th or not. This could take a while.
And once again, let me remind everyone that this is WB’s fault. Fox owned the rights. WB didn’t do enough due diligence to make sure they were allowed to make the film. Fox tried to talk to them about it but WB blew them off. Now we’re in this mess.
-
Warner Bros. asks for "Watchmen" call sooner (http://ca.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idCATRE5070YS20090108)
January 20 could be D-day in the "Watchmen" dispute between Fox and Warner Bros.
Or rather I-day, when the studios have agreed to let a judge decide whether to issue an injunction against the superhero film's scheduled March 6 release by Warner Bros.
But Warners is asking that the hearing be moved up to as early as Monday because "time is critical," the studio argues in papers filed this week. The studio must soon commit tens of millions of dollars in marketing for a film it isn't sure it can release.

-
If FOX still partially owns the rights from a long time ago (which is what the last judge ruled) it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference whether they passed on making it in 2005 or not.

I have never read the graphic novel and really know nothing about the film, but affter seeing the trailer in front of Gran Torino a few weeks back I think I'll probably want to go see this flick at some point.
Does anyone know if there is a good place to read the novel for free online?
-
Great news. I'm already couting down to this film.
As for the graphic novel, check your local library, they'll probably have it. But it's worth the investment, probably about $20 at your favorite book store or maybe even less in a back issue bin at your local comic shop. It's the kind of GN that you need to spend some time with, it's pretty thick on content.

Watchmen to Run 3 Hours and 25 Minutes on DVD! (http://www.movieweb.com/news/NEj0Ookrd3eKmj)
While his latest film extravaganza won't even hit theaters for a few more weeks, director Zack Snyder has already revealed what to expect on the DVD. Collider spoke with Watchmen director Zack Snyder today at the press junket for the film, where he revealed that there will be some extended goodies in store on the DVD.
While the theatrical release of Watchmen is about 2 hours 36 minutes, Zack just told me the DVD/Blu-ray will have two versions to appease the fans that wanted more.
There will be a director's cut on the DVD that will be 3 hours 10 minutes and another cut with Tales of the Black Freighter that will be 3 hours 25 minutes!

Watchmen Clip: Prison Break (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDeYy73C8Hc)
Watchmen Director's Cut in Theaters This July.
After a MTV taping, Watchmen director Zack Snyder told the audience some great news: "The director's cut is 3 hours and 10 minutes and comes out [theatrically] in July." This marks the third version of Watchmen, with the theatrical version (running at a paltry 2 hours and 37 minutes) and a Snyder-dubbed "Crazy Ultimate Freaky Edition" DVD of Watchmen.
Announced last December, the "CUFE" DVD will be released this fall and will include the Tales of the Black Freighter animated footage, the death of original Nite Owl Hollis Mason, more dialogue from the newsstand Bernies and Dr. Manhattan on Mars and boasts a 3 hour and 40 minute running time, an extra 30 minutes from the director's cut.
None of the ever-expanding versions of Watchmen will include the original, graphic novel ending, though, Snyder says, the alternative would have been even worse.
The Squid is in ? ? ? ? ? ?

How is it that this film can get two theatrical releases in the same year but I can't ******* see Fanboys?
-
You can... you're just not willing to drive far enough. ;)
-
Right. Because every ******' theater has 12 screens now but I have to drive 5 hours to see a film? **** the Weinsteins!
I don't care that they release Kevin Smith's films, I'll never go to another theatrical release or buy another DVD that in any way will support their company.
-
They're still expanding into new markets. If it continues to be moderately successful, you might see it in your neck of the woods.
-
Fanboys is dead to me now. Kristen Bell could come over, naked, with the DVD and I wouldn't watch it.
I'd lock her in the box in the closet, have no worries, but I'd throw the DVD out, un-viewed. :P
-
saw the trailer for this one again while watching Friday the 13th and although I thought this looked like the stupidest movie...ever...i have to admit the newest trailer was cool. maybe even cool enough to get me to watch it :-X

Watchmen, once considered unfilmable, was published in 1986 and has gone through several unsuccessful adaptations. The cast of the new version gathered in London for the world premiere. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/7907345.stm)

G4 is running an hour long special on the Watchmen today. During the first half hour there's a section on the Black Freighter featuring my friend Danny who directed it. I was too busy and missed it while everyone was watching it at work today, but I'm told that it's around 8 minutes long. Allegedly, I make about a 5 second appearance in it staring at my monitor.
If anyone is interested, it's supposed to be on again tonight at midnight eastern.
-
If someone can please capture the five seconds of Rob, loop it into a two hour reel, and post it on YouTube, me and this bottle of Astro Glide will be much obliged.
-
Watch it here (http://www.megavideo.com/?v=A6GLA1W6). Rob, what time frame are you on & can you screen capture it, pretty dark at the monitor scenes. :-\
-
Looks like the BF stuff starts around 19 minutes in. But there's quite a few guys in front of monitors, and the resolution is pretty poor.
-
20:40. But really, it's nothing spectacular. The impressive (and weird thing) is seeing Danny all over the special.
-
I'll check it out later at work, hopefully it will be quiet tonight. The special so far looks great. :)
-
I watched the Watchmen special during some downtime at work last night in the link I posted above, pretty good. A little dark but you can see Rob
staring searching Pron working posting on JD sleeping in front of the monitor. :P
-
Yeah. We initially filmed ourselves working to give Warner a pile of b-roll footage of the studio and the production for use in a behind the scenes type thing for the dvd. Then I guess they shared that footage with G-4. The shot that's in there was right as the battery was dying, and I think the guy with the camera had told me to 'hang on for a second.'
-
If someone can please capture the five seconds of Rob, loop it into a two hour reel, and post it on YouTube, me and this bottle of Astro Glide will be much obliged.
That is the funniest, and most disturbing post I've read in quite a while.

For tomorrow... ;D

Bought my ticket for the midnight showing Thursday! I'll be picking up the DVD tomorrow (or some day this week) but I'll probably wait till Friday to watch it.
I'm planning on leafing through the Watchmen graphic novel tomorrow or Wednesday night in prep for the movie. I'm really looking forward to this!

I saw a sneak peak tonight. ;D
I'll be posting a review up on http://CreatureCantina.com tomorrow, I think.

I plan on watching the Watchmen this weekend. I don't read comics and I have no clue what this movie is about, but I've heard it's a cool flick.
-
I picked up the Watchmen motion comic today plus the soundtrack. ;D
-
Bill Cable watches the Watchmen (http://www.creaturecantina.com/news_stories/2009/0304/watchmen.html)
Enjoy!
-
We shall see in just under 2 1/2 days what me thinks. ;)
I watched the 1st DVD disk on the motion comic last night, it's good but a tad to slow. Each comic is roughly 25-29 mins long but I had to speed it up a tad as the narration is just too... yep slow. Still good tho & looking forward to watching the rest tonight, happy " :) " I picked it up. ;D
Then off to get the Tales of the Black Freighter on March 24th. ;D
Unless Rob can score me an autographed copy by all involved, yeah like that's gonna happen! (http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/konfus/e034.gif)
-
If you wanted to send it to me I could have it signed by some of the team and sent back... but the animators were in Korea, and one of the co-director's is based out of the west coast and just left the company.
I could get the director and comp team though.
-
Well, I may have to take you up on that. Hurry up Mar 24th. ;D
-
I got tickets to see it tomorrow in IMAX! ;D
-
I guess I didn't pay close enough attention till today, I thought the DVD release this week had the Black Freighter on it. I'm actually probably going to skip this release and just see the film then get the BF DVD when it comes out later.

Watchmen Proves The Cold War Is An Alien World | review by Charlie Jane Anders (http://io9.com/5163900/watchmen-proves-the-cold-war-is-an-alien-world)
"After a couple of decades since the Berlin Wall, and years of superhero movies, a guy wearing an inkblot mask to beat up criminals seems more sane than Mutually Assured Destruction. We understand superheroes and costumed asskickers, but we no longer understand Henry Kissinger."

Target is selling the graphic novel. $15.99. I think that's pretty cool.

-
A somewhat lukewarm (http://movies.ign.com/articles/959/959494p1.html) review of Watchmen up at IGN, not that reviews usually matter all that much anyways. I hope I'm able to get out to see this in the next month or so, but as one of the few who hasn't yet read the entire graphic novel - just parts of it online (a copy is on the way in the mail), I wanted to read it through all the way first.
-
Saw it last night at midnight and really liked it. There were a couple things I didn't care for such as the guy that played Nixon and I missed there not being more involvement of the news stand guy, just because he was kind of a character in the comic. But I see why they skipped him...but that also made the news paper office scene at the end a little "tossed in."
Loved, loved, loved Jackie Earl Haley as Rorschach! I also liked Patrick Wilson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who really nailed the Comedian as far as I'm concerned. Malin Akerman was sufficiently hot.
Can't wait to see the Black Freighter DVD. I want to see this film again but I don't know if I'll see it in theaters or wait for the DVD. At today's prices, it'll be cheaper to buy the DVD!

Tried to go see it tonight at the theater on campus and it was sold out for today :(. I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow.

Just got back from seeing the Watchmen... loved it! Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, perfect as with the other characters except Robert Wisden as Nixon. Malin Akerman, well... (http://www.telusplanet.net/public/djustus/drool1.gif)
Will I see Watchmen again... ah yup.
-
I saw it last night, and really liked it a lot. I saw it with a friend who had never read the comic, and I think he was just lost (and I think he expected a Fantastic Four or X-Men type of movie) though.
I could kind of tell that there was not only a lot of the comic story left out, but that there are things that were filmed that were left out. I expect that the seven and a half hour director's cut release will be a little more congruent. For the most part, though, I think that capturing as much of the book as they were able to do was quite an achievement.
I also have to say, I thought the modified ending worked well in the movie.
The only complaints I have are that Matthew Goode sounded like the goofy priest from The Princess Bride at times, and some of the old people make-up (e.g., Sally Jupiter, Nixon) looked kind of bad.
The Dr. Manhattan effects were great inasmuch as I never really thought of him as an effect.
Rorschach and Comedian could not have been cast any better, and I lost count of how many ways Malin Ackerman is hot.
I've already got tickets to see it later today in IMAX. ;D
-
Didn't love it, didn't hate it. I think they did as good a job as they could have. Jackie Earle Haley was masterful though.
-
I thought it was great...especially in IMAX!
I thought the modified ending was good, but they could've gone with the original comic plot and not had to add too much to the movie.
Still...it was enjoyable.
-
Just got back from it. Very enjoyable. I went into it blind, never reading the comic or knowing the story really in any way. I sure didn't expect that much porking and full frontal blue dong at 10:45am but I didn't mind it. But I'm sure the husband and wife with their 2 small (under 12) kids were taken aback by it.
Rorschach was definitely my favorite character and I liked the Comedian, except for when he was kicking the **** out of Silk Spectre that was a little much for me. Music selection was a little distracting at times where it didn't sound "period correct" but the whole story was of a different timeline so I quickly got past it.
Overall I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 4 stars.
-
This was a very "different" movie. I liked it, but it was odd. Rorschach was a ******* bad ass. I LOVED his character. Doctor Manhattan is a mystery. The comedian should have been in the entire movie versus what happend. It started so beautifully with him. Left the theatre with many questions - as a non comic reader.
-

Too bad for them. That's why you don't take kids into R-rated movies.
-
Just got back as well. I hadn't read the story before, and I loved it.
There were some pretty bad effects (and a lot of good ones) but overall I really enjoyed it. I'm going back sometime later in the month.

Neat to hear that perspective. Now go get the novel from Target.

Like Rob, I didn't know anything about the graphic novel before I saw the movie. I really liked it, thougt it was very entertaining.

I wonder if this movie will make any money. Over the weekend it made $55 million which is pretty good but still short of 300's $71 million with half as many screens. I have a feeling that 300 made it money because of its, then unique, visual style. That style has been done to death since. I know its a fanboy-type movie but I think everyone else will be totally confused. The trailers said absolutely nothing about what it is about. Is it a xmen-type movie? These are not mainstream characters like Batman or Superman. Personally I've never heard of or seen this comic book before until now. I think for the non-fanboy, there isn't a defined good guy and bad guy to grasp on to. It does sound interesting though but I don't see it living up to the hype. Maybe it will do really well in Europe.
On a side note, I was checking out a site on Atari ST computer magazines published in Europe and they had a cover from 1989 talking about getting the hot details on the new Watchman movie and video game. Twenty years later we finally get it.
-
Maybe it will do really well in Europe.
"Watchmen" opened at No. 1 in the U.K. ($4.6 million), Russia ($2.3 million), Australia ($2.3 million), Italy ($1.6 million), Korea ($1.4 million), Brazil, Mexico and the Netherlands. Its North American total was $55.7 million, falling short of industry expectations.
"Watchmen" reigned on the international circuit over the weekend as director Zack Snyder's sci-fi fantasy, launching simultaneously with its domestic debut, grossed an estimated $25.9 million, easily finishing at No. 1 overall.
An adaptation of a comic book series from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, the Warner Bros./Paramount/DC Comics production, distributed overseas by Paramount, is the first big worldwide launch of 2009. Its overseas weekend tally, from 5,079 screens in 42 markets, is the year's biggest since the $31.1 million rolled up by DreamWorks/Paramount's "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" in the first weekend of January.
“Watchmen” took home the crown as the #1 movie in America this weekend with a blockbuster Friday wide-release. Early projections of a three-day total of $55.7M (an average of $15,413 per venue) were correct, making “Watchmen” the year’s most successful domestic opening to date. The film also fared well on the international market with a solid $27.5 million overseas, bringing its overall worldwide gross to $83.2M during its debut weekend.
While it’s clear that an opening take of $55.7M is nothing to sneeze at, as mentioned, most industry analysts (and obviously Warner Bros. execs) were expecting bigger numbers from its first frame, hoping for at least a $60M weekend, if not giving the reigning March opening weekend record holder, “300″ ($70.9M), a run for its money. As it stands, “Watchmen” currently holds the third spot overall, and most analysts are blaming that on the film’s long runtime and hard R-rating for its unabashed adult subject matter.
-
It'll certainly make money, the question is just how much? Between domestic gross, international gross, and dvd/blu-ray sales, you really, really have to screw up to lose money.

Yes they did. Every one of them. Paul's right, every movie makes money. It's just a question of how much. Once you add merchandizing, International, TV rights, rental and DVD sales, they, at very minimum, re-grain their production and advertising cost. Speed racer earned a nice chunk of change from toy sales. Another thing that's deceptive about the production cost of every movie made is product placement savings which can account for anywhere between 5 and 25% of the budget.
Then again, no movie ever makes money, on the books. Even Forrest Gump, the Matrix and the Lord of the Ring movies because deceptive account practices are used to avoid paying bonuses, percentages and taxes.
-
So your saying that a movie like Zyzzyx Road (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zyzzyx_Road) that had a budget of $2,000,000 & a gross of the worst in history of a pathetic $30.00 & by 2006 only made about $368,000, made it's money back on merchandizing, International, TV rights, rental & DVD sales!!!!

That was a direct to DVD movie that was released theatrically just to qualify it for foreign release to earn it some extra cash. I can't find the DVD numbers on that movie specifically, especially since it's an independent deal, but it was released on dvd, and there is a certain fee for the rights and certain percentage the producing company earns for sales. In addition, with planned direct to DVD releases, there is usually a deal already in place, so no one in their right mind would exceed a budget that would infringe on profitability.
One of my best friends, who produced an independent feature that cost $125K and had no name talent, nearly got a dvd distribution deal. Just the DVD rights was half a million plus sales, or $2 million for a buy-out without sales. If they had just one name star, the initial fee would have been $2 million plus sales or a $5 million buy-out. Zyzzyx road earned it's money for it's investors no problem on it's dvd deal.
In my best Robert Shaw from Jaws "Don't you tell me my business again."

I'm one of those who hadn't read the entire novel yet either (just portions online), and I'm in the process of checking it out right now (really enjoying it). I don't know if I'll be able to get out to see the movie until the DVD release, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Just as a side note, I don't know about your Target, but ours is selling it as well for around $16 if I remember right. I got my copy via Amazon for about $10-$11. So, if you're ordering something else there anyways, it might be a more inexpensive option.

Finally caught the film this evening. I thought it was a pretty good literal translation of the book, and the new little scenes/bits of conversation were nice to see. I'm really mad they took a lot of the therapist scene out, and even moreso that they took out the giant vaginal squid creature.

A report over at Blue Sky Disney states that film execs at WB will never allow another R rated super hero movie again because of the failure of Watchmen.
Blue Sky Disney (http://blueskydisney.blogspot.com/)
-
Sad that $150 million globally in 18 days is considered "failure." I guess they expected 300 numbers.
-
I guess they expected 300 numbers.
They were expecting even more than that.
300 cost $65 million to make and made $450 million world-wide. Watchmen cost $150 million to make and to date has grossed $147 million.
It'll make its money back and then some, but they were expecting massive profit on this movie and aren't going to see it. In relative terms it basically is a flop.
-
What about the re-release later in the summer? Is that now in jeapordy?
-
I'm not sure but I would assume that they'd want to do that even more to make a few extra dollars back.
-
I'm sure that the R rating did keep some people out of the theater but I think it had as much or more to do with the denseness of the story as anything. Watchmen is a very deep book that covers a lot of topics and history and even reading it I'm sure there are things that I missed.
Plus, there weren't any recognizable heroes in the film and there weren't even any real household names among the actors in the film.
And people are stupid. Making them think about what they're watching? What was Snyder thinking? :P

Anyone interested in Before Watchmen?
Also see they are doing DC Classics Watchmen figures
-
Before Watchmen is pretty good stuff. Well, it doesn't suck, anyway. Minutemen is probably the best of the books by far, at least IMO.
-
Despite my initial opposition, and ongoing skepticism, I am reading them all.
Curious to see how Rorshach and Dr Manhattan turn out...the others have been ok so far. The first Comedian was a little silly, IMO.
Minutemen took sort of a creepy turn last issue, not sure what to make of that one yet.
The Crimson Corsair stuff has been pretty sweet though.
-
I've been buying them but haven't had time to read any yet... I mainly picked them up because my store had a deal where if you bought any of the issues, you got the original Watchmen graphic novel for half off. Figured I might as well.
