I wonder if my alter ego could become a mod...

Probably ;D

My reference went to Rob.

It might be because it wasn't 50x50 or perhaps that there was a gap in the url (some boards can't cope with the "%20" solution).

Anyways, this resized version works (I have tried it), and I have also put in an underscore instead of a gap.

My Photobucket account is a bit erratic, so perhaps Dale could copy it across to another host for you?

If they are anything like the UK site then they're great.  My Star Wars DVD set is shipping from them tomorrow (Saturday) and will arrive on Monday (the UK release date).

There's something still really cool about the conversation the two troopers are having in the DS corridor while Ben sneaks by after deactivating the tractor beam. It hinted at them all having their own personality and it would be sad to see that lost.

Exactly! I was just watching Star Wars the other day and thought the very same thing when that scene was on.  I thought to myself, “the new set will ruin all that”:  it’s really great to hear that TM doing the Stormie voices didn’t happen :)

So what about the voices of the Stormtroopers, were they not redone by TM too? If not, it seems strange given that we’re supposed to believe they are also clones of Jango.  Actually, I hope there IS more to it than simply Clonetroopers = Stormtroopers.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: If You Were Choosing One: Vintage or Modern?
« on: September 2, 2004, 12:40 PM »
For me it’s compounded by whether I’m in a loose or carded phase.  Sometime last year I got all nostalgic and in a 6 week period had amassed 24 loose and complete vintage figures.  At the same time I still had plenty of loose modern figures, and whenever I would glance back and forth between the two sets, my heart would sink.  The old stuff was looking pretty silly.

More recently the Saga line and its associated dusting and “keeping it all together” issues has got me switched to carded.  When I picked up a couple of carded figures from the old ROTJ line and put them on my wall, I was shocked by how these 20+ year old photo-cards kicked the ass of the sea of red, blue and green on my wall.

So at the moment my ideal would be a select few pristine vintage Palitoys.

Yup, vintage.

Thankfully I won't ever really have to dump one or the other, and for a while I’ve been thinking that a vintage carded / modern OT-only carded collection could be the way to go.

Or, if and when I go back to loose, it would have to be modern.

Oh man, I DON'T KNOW! You choose for me  ;)

There’s an episode of the X-Files that shows how making wishes would never work…

I’d like to be able to play the piano though.

Best choice would be Zod or failing that, myself or Josh.

We beat the US in the 4x100m relay...by the very smallest margin possible  ;)

We’re ahead of our Sydney total by one, but down by two golds. We can up pick another one in the boxing tomorrow though. So  this is our second  most successful Olympics since 1920, in spite of our track and field results being quite a bit down on last time.
