I'm OK with who the Bears chose, and I'm actually excited to see Rex Grossman play for the Bears. I really think they're going to have a great year this year. I'm more excited to see Kordell Stewart play for them.
Yeah, but waht did you think of Kordell saying that he's not interested in teaching Grossman? I thought that was kind of cold. Obviously, Kordell has to learn the Bears offense as well, but he's certainly going to be a quicker study. He doesn't have the time or willingness to teach a rookie?
Hey Chris, we don't have an NFL team, so I give you the class of the CFL, the Montreal Alouettes. Hope you don't mind. ;D
Also, being a Yooper, I can't stand the stupid Packers!!
I predict though that an all Florida Super Bowl is going to happen with the Bucs playing the Dolphins
Almost forgot.......VIKINGS SUCK!!!!!!!!
Da Bears is where my heart is.

2003 Super Bowl Champions
Cut me open and a I bleed Purple and Gold baby...
Jim likes the Cowboys for some reason ::) ::) ??? ???
So I guess Jim just basically roots for whoever's coined "America's team" in each respective sport, huh? Cowboy's, Braves... That's one confused Minnesotan up there! ::)
Uh... Wasn't the 2003 Super Bowl Champion the Tampa Bay Bucaneers Mikey? I could've sworn it was...
NFL? What the... Brent , show your support for the CFL. ;D
Heres mine! :P
(http://shopx.canoe.ca/shops/1015/custom/Product/ed_mini.jpg)
That would be the Edmonchuk Eskimos. How droll (and politically incorrect).
Dale,
ya gotta know who I'd be rooting for in the CFL. Say, haven't you lost to us already this year ;)
Matt and Chris, I know the Bucs were 2002 champs. I was stating that the Eagles would win this year (2003)
Even though the Super Bowl is in January (or February in an extreme case :( ), the winner of the SB are champs for the year in which the season started. In the Bucs case, 2002. In the Eagles case, 2003 ;) If I'm wrong, then blame Sports Illustrated. I have the Patriots special edition SI from after they won the SB and it says 2001 Super Bowl Champions., even though they won it all in February 2002.
GREENBAY PACKERS BABY!!!Perma Ban Baby! :-*
GREENBAY PACKERS BABY!!!Perma Ban Baby! :-*
I wonder what the over/under on Beth's interception totals for tonight is going to be. Sure he only may play 2 series but I'm going to go with 2 :-*
Thanks for the upcoming nightmares Scott.
Thanks for the upcoming nightmares Scott.
Who cares, the only reason I'll watch the game is for the lovely Lisa Guerrero :-*
She'll probably be bouncing off the walls and half drunk by the time I get home... :P
Sounds like the Slack lost Gilbert Brown for the year, McDonalds in the Green Bay area lay off half of their staff as a result :-*
Patriots obtain DT Washington from Bears for draft choice
my thoughts... TOTAL CRAP!!!
...time to sign up He Hate Me
Bears got their butts handed to them. What a joke! >:(
I also will say again while Urlacher is fast...there is still a lot of hype behind his play, I've never seen him take over games like great LB's like Lewis and LT have in the past. He is for sure in the top 5 in the league but not the be all end all LB that TV makes him out to be
Purple Reign Baby! 3-0 and the Packers Lose...oh baby
Purple Reign Baby! 3-0 and the Packers Lose...oh baby
Congratulations to the Vikings. I will be happy to give them their props, because they have totally earned it. They're looking like a major force in the NFC North. About time someone is doing better than the damn Packers.
Pats got a win, but man is the injury bug killing them, especially on D. First Ted Johnson (out 6-8 weeks) and then Roosevelt Colvin, out for the year. After yesterday, you can add Ted Washington, Mike Vrabel and Ty Law to the list of defensive starters who are hurt and David Patten with the offense is banged up as well. Add that to the fact that Tom Brady isn't 100% and they have enough to fill a whole ward at the local hospital. Its true what they say, when it rains, it pours :(
Oh yeah...coming from the guy who's team lost to the Panthers...at least they are beating the teams they are supposed to be beating. Culpepper's injury doesn't sound to good though...hopefully he misses minimal time.Purple Reign Baby! 3-0 and the Packers Lose...oh baby

It's easy to dominate when you're playing in a weak division. The Bears? The Lions? On top of that, the Vikings have a very easy schedule. Cardinals, Chargers, Packers, Lions, Bears, Raiders, Falcons. Does it get any easier? :-*

I wouldn't exactly call the Raiders, Falcons and Packers easy. Granted they're not doing that great so far this year, but they were all playoff teams last year.
Raiders, Rams and Packers all faltering at an underachieving and pathetic 1-2 record each. :-\
seeing Beth Farve
No gloating from Wayne this morning :D
What a horrible game by the Vikes D...absolutely awful. They are reverting back to last year with horrible, horrible tackling. Favre as much as I hate him played his brains out last night, big win for the Pack, the Vikes could have buried them but gave them hope :-\
Just hoping for an Eagles win at Lambeau tomorrow
The Vikings (Robert Smith and Korey Stringer may he RIP) started that back in 1998. I agree that it is old...the funny thing is when idiots would say...
The New Mexico State University or something equally as asinine
If I'm missing a joke here, just laugh at me behind my back please, but....
Ohio State is properly titled The Ohio State University. It is on all their communications, letterhead, etc. I applied for grad school there. Seemed like a tad pompous name at the time.
Hard to throw the ball with two hands wrapped around that neck huh Beth?
and if I had my say, Kenyatta Walker would be ******* cut as soon as the season is over.
Mark my words, the Cowboys won't win the NFC East. While they do have a good, almost great, defense, their offense is suspect. Honestly, how many good teams have they beaten? They barely beat the Eagles in Dallas when the Birds were the second coming of the 90s Bengals. Bills? Not a good team. Jets? Ditto. Giants and Redskins? Overated.
Are they going in the right direction? Most definitely and that's coming from a life long Cowboys hater. The Tuna knows how to coach and they will win a division title sooner rather than later. It just won't be this year.
The buzz from Valley Ranch is that they have been working on the mistakes which have plagued them the last few games.
We are tough at home, and similarly to the Pats, the Panthers are mirror images of the Cowboys even down to the lackluster offenses.
If we win just 2 of our next 3 games, I think the division will be ours!
I've come to accept the Buc's not going back to the Super Bowl, nor the playoffs, and the possibility that this is going to hurt Warren Sapp's chances of coming back, as well as a few others.
Like years past, I'll stay true, and just hope for a healthier Buc's team next year.
Its possible he'll go to Dallas, but they already have a solid trio of receivers. But he'll fit right in there, he's a typical Dallas player.
So what's your take on the Bucs dumping Keshawn cold turkey? Talented as hell, but one heck of an attitude with that guy!

What's that supposed to mean?!?! >:(
Well it only took until week 12 for the Cowboys to beat a team with a winning record. Good for them. They still won't win the division, though.
Right, it is always best to believe the Media...especially from a place were fans put batteries in snow balls and that crappy turf ended the career of the guy you are trying to crucify.
I'm with Mikey on this one I think the Eagles will win the division and are a better team than the Cowboys...I haven't seen them beat anyone real spectacular to make me a believer yet. They play in a weak conference and a weak division. The NFC in general is down. They have beaten teams at home as well...which they should be doing
You say the Cowboys haven't beaten anybody, but who have the Eagles beaten this year to make you a believer in them? Nobody, that's who.
My Raiders blew another one on Sunday, losing to the Chiefs on a game ending field goal. Pathetic. First to worst.
(Nov. 24, 2003) -- An officiating blunder gave Baltimore critical extra time in its fourth-quarter comeback victory over Seattle, the NFL said.
NFL supervisor of officials Mike Pereira said both the 40-second clock and the game clock should have been restarted after an officials' conference over a penalty call with 58 seconds left in regulation. The Seahawks had the ball and led 41-38.
Because the clock wasn't started, the Ravens had 39 seconds left instead of four or five when they got the ball back on downs at the Baltimore 33.
Damn that's right, no more of my #1 Cutie, I'll tune in to see Beth break her leg and to check out the new boombalotti on the sidelines (curse you ABC for not picking Brenda Warner!)(http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg) (http://www.klou.com/smash-karen/sk-brenda-150.jpg)I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-* I Love You Mikey :-*

I'm quoting this just for Mikey too
I think the playoff teams will be
Cowboys
Eagles
Rams
Panthers
Packers
Bucs
It sure was nice seeing the Vikings get CRUSHED by the Rams. At least the Bears gave the Rams some competition.
Yowza...that got on TV?
Just got back from the shelacking that the Vikes put on the Seahawks. Wow what a complete domination and something I had not at all seen coming. I thought for sure Alexander was going to stomp all over us, but the Vikes dominated O, D and Special Teams...great game with huge playoff implications!
Where do the Vikes and Seahawks play? As a long suffering Vikings fan, I share your pain Scott, but the telltale sign is probably who has home field. The Seahawks are stinking it up on the road this year.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda :) I am sorry OCB but I truly ditest Randy Moss and I just loved seeing him get the TD ball ripped away by a Bear rookie.
The referees aren't doing their job...
. . .see if he will persevere.
Wait until you see the end of the Vikes-Cards game...I've never come that close to throwing my TV out the window... :-X
Patty sends along her kindest regards and best wishes to a couple of the fellas in this thread... ;)
I went 4 for 4 in the Office Pool too, I have Pats and Chiefs, Rams and Eagles this week, looks like 8 for 8
I hope to high hell the Pack get slaughtered. And I also hope the Jamacians call the Packers Defense and say that they aren't going to allow them to use that hairstyle anymore ::)
I hope that dumb ho Frontiere fires his stupid ass tomorrow, if not tonight. He has no place in the NFL.
Matt. Tsk, tsk. And they call me Mr. Potty Mouth? For shame, you drunken lout. :-*
They're about as nameless and uninteresting as the Florida Marlins were when they won the World Series a few months ago.
I'm glad to see it come down to the Eagles and Panthers, they're both good teams.
That said though, I think the Superbowl is going to be an AFC victory.
Sherman's play calling in the latter stage of the game almost rivals Martz's.
I thought they had a few chances there late in the fourth quarter, but that no-call on the 4th down pass interference against the Pats' McGinnest effectively ended the game for the Colts. That was a very poor officiating moment at a very crucial point of the game. ::)
Ugh....... Im going to burn down my house now.
It's not so much that the Colts lost, its that the Pats won. I despise the Pats. I kind of like the Panthers, just for handing the Rams their asses, but would have much rather seen the Eagles in the Superbowl. Colts vs Eagles would have been much better.
Ive lost all faith in sports.
First, the Marlins, and hell whoever the other team was (Yankees?), go to the World Series. Damnit, it should have been the Red Sox and Cubbies.
Superbowl should have been Colts and Eagles. The Panthers are just another Florida Marlins, the Pats are just another Yankees. Good teams, yes, but teams nobody gives a crap about. It's fun to see the underdog get a chance. The Colts have blown big butt pretty much ever since they arrived in Indy, but damnit, I still love em. Just like I love those Cubbies.
This year the Super Bowl will not be very super. More a mixture of trite and mundain.
I'll say this much though, if it was the Rams and the Pats, I'd probably be digging myself into a hole, and not come out until next season. If there is a team I hate almost as much as the Pats, its the Rams.
When the Bears and the Bengals play one another in the Super Bowl, and the Cubbies play anybody in the World Series, then, and only then, will my faith in professional sports be revitalized.
Until then, I guess its time to get ready for a new Firebirds season...
I have to reply OCB that I think the Pats are a little over rated
Again, how many nationally televised games were the Pats and Cats on this year, the Pats like 4 maybe? I think Carolina was on a Sunday Night Game if that...
but why the hatred for the Pats?
Their not flashy, they just get the job done.
Its not like they win every year like the Yankees.
Vinaterri almost became the Steve Christie of new Century...
Congrats to the Pats and their fans (except of course the ones who thought the best way to celebrate was turn over cars, start fires and back over pedestrians)
Be careful when you go to the Celebration Mikey D. ;)
Had it not been for that complete dumbass Kasey kicking it off out of bounds, it probably would've been the first Super Bowl ever to go into overtime.
That's a little harsh. Based on the games averages, the Patriots would have gotten the ball at the 30 as it is, and driven down the field, regardless.
I was pretty bummed that Pepsi pulled the Britney/Beyonce/Pink gladiator commercial at the very last second, especially after hearing about it all week long on TV! >:( Pepsi said they changed their minds, and that it didn't fit with their current marketing strategy. WTF?!? ::) Apparently, they only showed it in Europe.
It includes the entire Super Bowl, as well as a bunch of other coverage.
