Yeah, I'm terribly disappointed that Sommers is gone.  The GI Joe movie was just like the Sunbow cartoon, and it moved at a nice pace.  Too bad that the cast will probably change, but with any luck they won't do another damn origin story.  I am so tired of franchise origin stories.

This new series is charming.  I like that Dr. Mindbender is some punk kid, and I like how young everybody is.

Not sure how long they can sustain this whole A-Team theme, what with the whole show being an arc and not particularly standalone.

I'm almost certain the reason Hasbro balked at the Twilight was because of the association with the super-popular vampire movies.  Perhaps in a few years when the movies are all done and gone we'll get that vehicle.

Call me delusional, but I think he's decided to halt development of a live-action tv show to work on a sequel trilogy instead.  I have fanaties of him announcing this at Celebration V.

Just ignore the grumpy old-timers, of course you wouldn't know about the vintage toys.  What I think is neat is that with each iteration I (and others) think "eh, I don't need a new Gam, the one I have is fine and probably couldn't be improved upon anyways.  And then wham-pow!  Hasbro knocks it out of the park with an impossibly good-looking figure, wayyy better than the old "just fine" stuff.

I think that this has more to do with the street date confusion than anything.  And TRU regularly marks their stuff up a little higher than everybody else, so no surprise there.

That's craziness.  I've only seen about three ICMGs total, in all the TRUs within 30 miles of me.  Is it possible that most other TRUs were suffering from other, earlier figures pegwarming, and that all of the one wave ended up going from the distribution centers to your TRU?
