Mine also arrived today, too. Live them too.

It's close to Kanan & Zeb, but the Blurrg may be my favorite TVC release of the year. Top-notch work by Hasbro. Creatures & beasts were sorely missing from the line for the last few years, and I am glad to see them come back with such a bang. I will happily rebuy more of these guys w/ other pack-ins or in an alternate Ewok movie set.

I have endless complaints for Hasbro these days, but these Blurrgs are a home run.  Live them.

Jake from 4Lom To Zuckuss is saying that what's landing at Tatooine Traders will be the last of the 3000 units.  If this is in fact the case?  Then I suspect that this could be a supply that was on hand in the event that people received their Starspeeder damaged, there were shipping issues, etc.

However, I still find it to be completely absurd that Disney would invest so much capital into this new Starspeeder vehicle / playset to limit the production run to 3000 pieces globally.  I think it's entirely possible that a pared down version that has fewer features might be offered for sale at the Disney Parks.  That could mean possibly without the base, or with just one RX pilot droid, etc.

I really hope this is the start of open stock / beyond the 3000, but I am worried this was an allotment set aside for WDW from the beginning. From everything I have seen, there were only 700 set aside for the online sales, and those were staged in two different shipping spots (east coast and west coast) prior to D23, so it makes sense to me that there could have been a whole separate allotment for Orlando.

Entirely selfishly, I will be in Orlando in a couple weeks and if there should be Starspeeders available at that time it will really really tempting. So I am praying to the toy gods tonight!

Other Toy Lines / Re: 2024: What Are You Collecting?

Anyone’s plans change as the year has gone on, or even just post-SDCC? I like to check in twice a year just to see where things stand. My post from the beginning of 2024 has pretty much stood.

I’ve started getting a little more aggressive unloading stuff. I just have a thing personally with “if I can’t (or am not going to) display it, why do I have it?” I’m starting to push more things out that have just been in totes forever, figuring someone else can get more joy out of it all instead of just sitting here. I’ve tried to get an “essentials/favorites only” rule for anything I collect outside of TVC and Marvel Legends. Recently unloaded all my TMNT Ultimates outside of the four Turtles, currently selling off most of my Transformers (I think I put the cut off of keeping 15, the rest go). Black Series is up next. I just try to go through one tote per week, put it on eBay, then repeat. Honestly once you start it gets kind of freeing. Hopefully I won’t regret it later, but I’m trying to be thoughtful in my choices. It’s just as I close in closer to 50 in a few years, I just don’t want all the clutter and stuff.

That said, TVC and Marvel will likely stay for the most part and continue to be the focus going forward. More selective there too. I have a Ghost and Cantina on the way eventually, and really have no idea where either is going to go.

Star Wars TVC most new figures, specifically focusing on OT and Mandoverse, and whatever catches my eye. Vehicles, playsets on case by case.

Marvel Legends used to be almost everything, but I’m trying to do better. Classic costumes, any near definitive version of a character, and some MCU stuff

Everything else, just things here and there. Done with Transformers I think unless something really great comes along. Have the SS86 version of Optimus on preorder and that’s it. Joe line is still fantastic, but I’m trying to hold back a little there as pretty much all of mine just sit in storage. Random MOTU figures here and there, kinda like the Cartoon collection. Have a couple Turtle things on preorder, the NECA stuff is always tempting. Otherwise, anything that might catch my eye.

Yeah I hope it's not like that and this will just be available now... if there was extra, I'd have thought they'd just put it on the website with all the rest that they sold out of that first hour.

EDIT:  On Rebelscum they're speculating that this will just be left-over stock from D-23 and not actually a consistently carried in-stock item for the parks...

Seems like a lot of needless overhead to save an allotment specifically to ship across the country for the Florida Tatooine Traders store after already selling out at two other times but maybe that was the plan all along so FL Disney didn't feel left out of the buzz.

Oh good, that should drive the prices way down.  Glad I waited on getting a RX-24.

According to the DisneyParks Instagram page, the Star Speeder 3000 is coming to Disney Parks' Tatooine Traders store on September 13th (limit 2 per person).

It isn't clear if this is more of the "limited to 3000" version or if this is a new/different edition for the parks...  wait and see I guess.

Latest word from Jayson is that these are now hitting the US ports - usually takes 4-6 weeks to go from the port arrival to shipping to customers so I guess we'll be seeing this one sooner than December.
