The Black Series 3.75" / Re: The Black Series 3.75" - Wave 5

Today I look at the Ree Yees pics on JTA site, it is clearly the best sculpt:
cause his hands are not so much smaller than his head.

Only missing in this version: the silver belt buckle sculpt
and the two colours boot deco from 1983 vintage interpretation.

The mission series: Wicket and scout are a blend of old and new design, with most effort of paint job done on the ewok than on the trooper.

The scout ressembles in his limbs the vintage 1983 figure, with the adittion of grey mouth.

I see the rebels at at driver has the points on jaws mask for the fisrt time on a 3.75 interpretation. In some photos those pins of his helmet look silver, which is more character accurate. I wish not to wait until december to pick it and compare it with my poft2 at at driver.

Finally, we are now some basic paint jobs are due to crisis and cheap line, but this is a unique chance of new 5poa sculpts, so let´s imagine what would happen if they have painted all them the wasy hasbro kenner did with its POTF2 line.

As SL snowtrooper, stormie, biker and at at driver the modeling is fair for scale, but the lack of detail in paintjob gives the sensation that we are looking at black and white photos.

About the 3.75 new Black Series:

-Leia Yavin offers the slimmest sculpt and best face sculpture, the rubor on her cheeks depicts here as a cute young lady.

Wish Hasbro won´t altere so much the paint job for this figure till they get her into shelves.

-The clones Rex and Doom are nice too, wish they have removable helmets and paintes soles on shoes.

-Ducth Vander updates face and helmet but omit some details on left arm: the patch over glove and cilindres are plain orange scult; while Hoth Wedge looks with updated painted gloves for an reussed body.

- Dagobah Vader, the  Luke head is more appropriated for a toy cause is on a neutral expression, in contrast to the potj version wich spotted a rictus of death.

This is the best Dagobah fatigues Luke Skywalker so far.

A desirable sculpt (Yoda, Luke, Snowtrooper) to bear in mind for the future black series line.

The Wampa attack Luke is a running change, they must have had made a head without hat and sans scars.

Umm, so Zev was inspired in Mc Quarrie Chewie, I thought it was developped on the basis of The Star Wars lizard Solo.

Perhaps they are going to launch a realistic AT-DP in the near future to fit saga legends, tvc and black series.

It has a cool design, looks likely several versions will be offer as there were with the personal walker por ep iii and clone wars. (animated and realistic)

Kanan oufit has a slight ressemblence to Kyle Katarn´s.

The Rebels´stormtrooper is curious enough to draw attention but it has needed more black applications on its paintjob.

I like best the saga legends snowtrooper for 2014.

However it lacks paint applications on soles of boots and pouches
the sculpt justifies its purchase.

I agree with a pack of empire soldiers, but perhaps
Hasbro could complete the paint job and varies it a bit;

for instance, making lenses of snowtroopers and stormtroopers green.  ;)

41st Clone trooper (black series from rots)

This Black Series Figure has less color than the former rots figure,
the 2013 figure only spots longer limbs, bigger removable helmet,
no back antenna, no painted soles.

Where the rots figure shows a more intensive all in all paint job.

Hasbro needs to keep the identity of each representation of a saga character,
they usually fail in the tendence "to compensate one new paint application by suppressing a previous one".

It is the similar case with OT storm troopers: when Hasbro "corrects the helmet", they suppress the dots on stomach armour and even the paint for the soles.

How many bucks would be the cost for an all in all well painted stormie? (stomach dots, helmet with blue, light blue, grey and silver, grey squares on ankles and always black soles)

I don´t think it would be as expensive as the build factory Purge Trooper. Even more, Hasbro could made this figure common, not rare. Thus they can stop the reign of speculator selllers and bring order to the galaxy. :)

some thoughts......

maybe is time for a new Bespin Fatigues Luke, based on this Dagobah training figure.

The legs of Dagobah training Luke reminds me of the legs of tvc Hoth Luke, indeed larger than flawed moldmust correct the snwospeeder pilot and dagobah landing pilot with kinda those legs, but fixed hips.

Yoda and Luke nice evolution of sculpt
only fix the groin pubis in Luke
and Yoda should come with pants.

Toryn and Wedge could have profit from new bodies instead of reused.

The faces are excellent, hope the mold resists the tons of copies and won´t spoil mass production.

I don´t like an ep iii vader, it ruins the ot focused wave. They could have released a Dagobah Vader.

the stormtrooper seems to show more color in the chin than previous versions
but he misses the dots on stomach armour.

Hello guys, I write you all to initiate a new topic about what could mean a realy ultimate 6 inches black series classic darth vader.

I appologize in advance if it could be a very subtle detail, perhaps no significative.... but in a year we estimate that we are offered aproximately 3 to 5 Darth Vader figures, mainly in 3.75 inches.

Since we found lots of HD photos of props, behind the scenes in facebook, or the whole internet,
We discovered that the mask, dome and collar of Darth Vader are not plain uniform black color.

The mask of Vader has a dominó paint job, and I remember some replicas had spotted it.

I got my first Luke pilot from Black Series and it is sculpted with a realism that outmatched previous versions.

So, in search of that realism, do you think Hasbro could give us the ultimate Black series 6 inches sith lord Vader with a dominó mask?
I mean by "dominó" the degradé and alternated parts of silver and black.

Do you think it could be so expensive for Hasbro?

I expect that for a Black Series 6 inches, even the different shades of black among cape, suit and armour.

And finally a removable mask helmet or an alternate Sebastian Shaw head.
