1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: Sideshow 12" Sandtrooper
« on: January 18, 2009, 07:46 PM »
Good sculpt. This sandtrooper shows a variation I want to see someday in Hasbro 3 3/4, this soldier with shoulder pouches, the precedent version featured chest pouches. I think this is a challenge for arm articulation.

Sandtrooper´s armor presents multiple possibilities of sculpt, I hope Hasbro keep this in mind for a future 3 3/4 action figure.

I see a great effort in the jacket detail for the badge and the cylinders on the chest. Sideshow is in transit to launch a realistic death star trooper.

Very nice action figure.

Diamond Ben Kenobi 5 stars!

Diamond Jedi Luke is nice, enough for collect, but they could have inspired in a more accurate face
the best head sculpt nowadays for 12 inches Jedi Luke is from Medicom Jedi Knight Luke.

p.d. Seems that it is not decided yet if Luke wears brown or black cape with hood in rotj.

This is a nice wave for me, The hoth rebel trooper comes with a machine gun, ughnaughts are different from potf2 sculpt, Leia was in esb final scene with her anh robe but with another hairdress, luke is well depicted, accurate. Needa a good aquisition for officers

The emperor seems his head looks like the original esb 1980 hologram, a bit green skin.

Other Collectibles / Re: WOTC Star Wars Miniatures

WOTC SW minis are amazing, they have evolved in desing, scale and paint job. In some cases we will see the first appearnace of a sw character (EU or movies) on the miniature line, this would caliber his or her definitive launch into a Hasbro 3 3/4 action figure.

LEGO / Re: LEGO Death Star

Interesting, Hasbro must keep in mind Lego DS for a larger playset, like an update of vintage death star.
Nice distribution, both scenes from anh and rotj.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Wedge Antilles

I´m waiting for a snowspeeder Wedge in a legacy wave for 2009 :)

This action figure must be based on evolution pilots. ;)

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Comic Packs Hasbro should make!
« on: December 26, 2008, 12:57 PM »
I agree with a splinter of the mind eye comic pack, Luke and leia miners

For sote it would be nice an updated Dash Rendar with a Luke with beidge vest

Lumiya versus Luke will be neat

an esb comic pack of two imperial officers, they could be an updated Piett and Sheckil, but painted accurate to movie not to comic.

A ben kenobi based on votc with VADER from tac 16 corrected head into Shaw for an anh comic pack. With the palstic cape of the fisrt realease of course.

I hope the prototype of captain Needa will get an excellent paint job, not to mention the common wish of seeing the Luke and Leia from medical frigate.

Why not a snowspeeder Luke? but taking in mind all the updates in evolution pilots, this time the shin guards, the details of badges and gloves will be a must for this toy.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Target "Pit of Carkoon" Ultimate BP
« on: December 22, 2008, 07:20 PM »
For a while it looks that the Sarlacc pit should be a bit bigger to eat the henchmen  :) the skiff has a nice paint job, but the action figures lack  a good painting. Always when HASBRO repacks, some details are supressed if they add a new one. For example Lando shows 2 brown bracelets but his shoulder armor looks very fade, nearly the same color of his shirt. If Hasbro is saving money in the cards of each separate action figure is unnecesary to omit painting details. This is why some characters never get a complete update (in paint job).

I agree that this BP is overpriced.

The Legacy Collection / Re: TLC "Training on the Falcon" Battle Pack
« on: December 20, 2008, 08:16 PM »
This BP seems like a return to the diorama era of jabba palace and chalmun cantina from potf2

Following this style of hard card deco they could create a batle pack of Toshe station, repacking Biggs from TAC, making a kitbash from a Luke with binoculars and creating Camie and Fixer to complete the group.

But I prefer some day they built these medium dioramas with plastic for the floor and card for the scenario
like the potf2 halves of dueling Ben Kenobi, Vader and Jedi Luke.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Do You "Collect 'Em All"?
« on: December 14, 2008, 04:40 PM »
I only collect OT, and not all figures, but I wish I would have the plupart.

I don´t collect from eps I, ii, iii, so I hope Hasbro focuses on OT for 2009.

Bespin Han Solo, Bespin guard, Luke x wing, sandtrooper, imperial officer, Bespin escape Leia
300 Fett

The first vintage style wave set especific improvements for many characters like Chewbacca, because his sculpt is taller than ever, for the stormie, now passed into many variations, but I think in sometime, they will update this into a high detailed armor and suit sculpt, the part of the suit needs to be completed in black in the hip section.

The boba fett and luke were shorter than expected but nice.

The vintage style vader was repacked several times, now its time to update this toy with a sebastian shaw head and removable helmet.

Obi wan was great, probably legacy for 2009 will have bendable knees.

They could make a new votc Yoda with complete pants, based on vintage Yoda.
