At the moment my son wants this very badly.  Though he is on a Star Wars super high at the moment.  It would have to be a X-Mas or birthday present.  His birthday is in November.  So, there is lots of time for him to change his mind about it.   I like the vehicle myself.  I am glad Hasbro has actually made it.  However, I don't think it's really worth $140.  More like $100.  If that.  So, yeah.  I may end up waiting for this thing to hit the clearance aisle.  I have been kind of pissed off about the increasing prices of SW toys lately.  That is across the board.  $30 vehicles.  $10 action figures.  $18 deluxe sets.  $25 figure packs.  I don't think it's justified either.  So, if that helps lower the prices it's fine by me.  If they end up discontinuing items they can look in the mirror.  I know they will blame it on collector enthusiasm, but you kill that enthusiasm with ridiculous prices in a crappy economy.  Just my opinion.

In all honesty the prices on all of the SW merchandise is way to high right now.  $30 for Pod Racers?  $10 for figures?  Now $140 for this?  It's not a very bright move in my opinion.  Maybe it's out of necessity?  Greed?  I don't know, but it does not bode well in my opinion.  I guess it's good for being able to find items though!

I like a lot of what was shown today.  Much more than I thought I would.  My son is absolutely drooling over the MTT.  He's 7.  I like it to but not the $140 price tag.  That will have to be for Christmas.  Once again I like most of the OT offerings in regard to action figures.  I like how a majority of them turned out.  Some of the PT stuff is nice to of course.  I am not into the AMP'd stuff of course.  OR those little game piece things.  I just hope I will be able to find this stuff and hopefully the prices either get knocked down a buck or two or TRU has a lot of buy 2 get one free sales.

This is another wave I like.  Weequay turned out great to me.  I like Nien Nunb.  I will admit a removeable skull cap would have been nice but he never takes it off so I'm fine with it.  I'm glad they made Lumat.  The Royal Guard looks kickass!  I will buy up at least 2 of those.  Obi-Wan looks great as does Ahsoka. My favorite is probably Weequay.

I actually like every figure in this wave.  I will probably leave the Republic Trooper because I just don't care but it's a nice figure regardless.  Oddly enough I am probably most excited for the Bespin Gown Leia.  Jar-Jar turned out well.  I actually am happy to get the Shocktrooper and the Blue AOTC trooper.  I am a sucker for the orange pauldron Sandtroopers.  Prune Face looks great.  I think he'll look good with the other Dresslian they released in the Legacy line.  The Vader Wrath of is something different at least for Vader.  Good stuff in this wave alltogether IMO.

I really like Tarkin except for the lame soft goods skirt.  Nikto looks fantastic!  The others I just do not want them at all.

Nice!  I just hope they are not $15 price points by the time they come out.

Damnit, they had to make those flags.  Now I have to go get all the podracers.

This line is clogging up the pegs at 3 Wal-Marts I went to yesterday.  So, frustrating.

For awhile I bought into the idea that Hasbro just didn't want to make them because of potentially low sales.  But not after they made Yarna and ICMG and others.  No offense to those characters as I wanted them.  There have been many pegwarmers over the years and the line has still thrived with them.  They know we want them or at least there is a core group that does and they have a myriad of ways to get them to us if they got the green light.

It must be something do legalities or the whore thing.  However, Lucas could always state "No, no.  They were never meant to be whores.  Just chicks at a bar getting a drink."  I mean he went all PC with Han shooting Greedo first.  They can come up with a non-whore angle with no problem.  Heck they can even come up with a novel turning them into beloved charity founders of some kind if they are really worried about it.  They could them into Girl Scout den leaders trying to sell Wuher their cookies and such.  They can get around it with no problem.

I think it really does come down to money and being sued.  I don't really get what the issue is.  Even if they did not sign anything it's Lucas' film.  I don't know what power an actor would have over that?  But it must be legit enough for them not to make money from it.  The bottom line.  If there is money to be had this property would get in on it ASAP.  They have not for years now.  So, that's why I think there is something to the whole legal issue.  I do find it odd that they would stick those 2 characters in a TV spot with all of the characters that could have been used from that scene they pick them fi they are worried about the whore angle?  Weird, but there it is.

I want a Jabba's Palace Ishi Tib.  I think the Tonnika Sisters have a better shot than poor Ishi :(

I just like the fact that they even made another big vehicle.  It's gonna go to clearance of course.  So, I don't know what they are going to do to offset that?  Make it an exclusive?  I think it's a good choice for a big vehicle myself.  There was no way they were going to make the Trade Federation Battleship.  The Royal Starship had already kind of bombed for them the first time around.  They were not going to make the Landing Craft.  The Fambaa is not that exciting.  I thought perhaps the Sith Infiltrator had a chance with it being Maul's ship and all but they probably figure they sell more $25-30 underscale versions anyway.

The MTT has a cool little scene in the movie with deploying the battle droids.  If you have been collecting Naboo battle stuff over the years like the ATT, battle droids, Destroyer Droids, Gungans, Fambaa, STAP, then this is a nice addition to that diorama IMO.  I look forward to getting it myself.  My son will go nutty for it since he actually likes that battle droids and in particular the scene where they are deployed, folded, unfold, and grab their guns, etc.
