So how's this work?  Do I send you guys money ahead of time and then get a refund for whatever you can't get?  Or do you guys just charge everything and then let us know what our totals are?

Must really be rough to see a guy raised in Florida but living in Texas so far ahead of you in the standings.   :-X

I mean similar value, not similar numbers.  Sorry.

I was well aware of it at the time - and considering Giambi's numbers last season, I considered him an excellent value in the 12th round

I've got one too many power hitting 1B's - anyone interested in Giambi or Delgado?  Either could be had for a similar player at 2B, OF, or a solid closer.

Ouch - despite a mildly respectable 3rd place last year, this just goes to show that of the four major fantasy sports, Baseball is the one I know the least about as far as players and assembling a good team.

What can I say - the guy put together a very good team.  Imagine how big his lead would be if he'd actually used all those points.  I'm pretty happy with a second place finish though - I tied for third last year, so I'm headed in the right direction.   8)

For me getting my Lightning players in mid rounds is what did it - those two have been solid gold and there's no way I'll get them both next year like that...  Too bad it wasn't quite enough.  Better goaltending and a few defensemen, and a healthy Zetterberg might have been enough to pull it off.  Then again, Jason could have just used more of his games if I started catching up.

Looks like Jason is a lock for first and I seriously doubt anyone will catch me in 2nd place.

The only real question at this point is whether Brent or Scott takes home the bronze.

I won't bother with Blades of Glory, because that nitwit from Napolean Dynamite makes me cringe.  Just thinking about Napolean Dynamite makes me cringe.

I hated Napoleon Dynamite with an absolute passion - but I went and saw Blades tonight and got pretty much exactly what I was expecting.  Over-the-top idiocy, but lots and lots of laughs.

Okay, did I really draft this badly?!   Or is my average team just off to a horrid start?

Ortiz, Tejada, Wright, Ichiro, Zambrano, Webb, Giambi and almost nothing to show for it.

Surely my team isn't this bad.   :-\

I'd buy every single one of those in a heartbeat - but for the purpose of this question I'll go with Crispy Beru and Lars (and the Jawas) since the others will most likely be made at some point.

I finally found concept stormtroopers the other day.  Took a while.  For whatever reason I really like these with the new paint job.  I'm hoping to pick up a few more.

I thought it was awesome - and I'm thinking Sayid beats some information out of her next week.

Maybe I'm the only one who's still hooked on this show - but the fact that Juliette didn't know what the cloud-monster thing was either makes me think once again that there is some group or force at work that is way worse than the others, something the others are terrified of.

Hasbro will definitely need to be creative about their releases, and at some point I doubt we'll be seeing 60 figures per year, but there isn't any reason they can't keep going and going and going especially with EU, playsets, more background characters, resculpts, and the viintage line... there are tons of things left to do.  And if the video game figures do well, you can bet we'll get more of those in the future - even from past games.

I don't have any particular allegiance towards any one company, but I do think that on the whole, Hasbro does a very good job.   Sure there are downtimes when action features get worked in, or the articulation sucks, or the price goes up.  But there are also lots of times when they make new characters, delivery great collectibles, nail articulation and likenesses, listen to collectors, and their distribution seems to have improved too.  It's important to remember they have two very distinct target groups when it comes to kids and collectors.  They've said this all along and in general I think they've done a great job balancing those two.  It's not their problem if they put something out that is more geared to collectors and everyone gets into a tizzy about 'having' to buy it.

I would not collect any other scale and would only collect another company if they made them exactly the same style as Hasbro - so there you have it.  I don't see any reason for a change, especially at this point.
