Force Lightning Emperor rumors were wrong... it sounds like it is his lightning target, Darth Vader, that is getting the figure.
No pics yet (give it time), but, we have this from Hasbro:
Fans can capture the climactic battle from STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI with this exclusive STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES 6-INCH DARTH VADER (EMPEROR'S WRATH) figure, featuring an exclusive translucent mask with a visible skull underneath it, as well as an exclusive removable hand.

I was right about that, considering the Hasbro guy was saying Force Choke and the Emperor never did that. So, were these supposed to hit tonight?

Gotta agree with the timing. It's nice to have things somewhat spaced out. Although I am wondering if this Vader's right hand will come off to show some exposed wires at the wrist.
I'm also hoping that there's going to be a companion Emporer with some Force Lightning at some point in time.

They're what, 40-ish figures into this line and we've already had 2 Boba Fetts, 2 Biker Scouts, 2 Sandtroopers, 2 Vaders, 4 Stormtroopers...

I have to interpret that as Hasbro wanting to get more bang for their tooling buck.
And I think we're at 3 x Sandtroopers now with the new EE exclusive set. :D

You forgot about Phase I Clone Trooper. Already made 3: Grunt, Captain, Sergeant. To be made: Lieutenant (TRU exclusive) and commander (Clone 4-pack). And those are pretty much coming out soon, so there's 5!!

I don't mind it, not a bad thing for an exclusive. Not the end of the world if for some reason you can't find it, but kind of a neat figure if you can. I like those kind of exclusives. I'll be trying to hunt it down when the time comes.

I think I read the hand comes off... wouldn't be a proper to the scene if it didn't.... but, yeah, exposed wires is a must. It's too bad we don't get some Force lightning to encompass the figure. Have that instead of the lightsaber (not needed since this is a scene specific figure).

Yeah but to me if they go that route too quickly it means you're never going to get cool, less pivotal characters made. They used to supplement smaller tier characters with easy to make re-hashes, now they're just spreading them around right off the bat.

Plenty of the prototype Boba Fett figures turned up at Walgreens stores. And with Walgreens taking over Rite Aid? That means there are going to be that many more Walgreens stores VERY SOON. I think this Emporer's Wrath Vader will probably be reasonably easy to get.

The guy at Walgreens Corp HQ that wanted everyone to know about "drugstore.com", which is part of their network of sites they own. :P
It worked - I had never heard of drugstore.com before yesterday, so well played Walgreens.

Although I did see a few Proto Bobas around here, it is a very different case with their Walking Dead exclusive figures. That %$^& Deputy Rick figure NEVER made it to a single store around here, and I checked all of them repeatedly for weeks. And I only saw the Black Ant-Man at 2 different stores out of like 20 around here. That's the kind of stuff that has me nervous. They are not at all consistent with the availability of their products across the country.
If this isn't showing up in stores by Black Friday that is a HUGE missed opportunity for them IMO.

What is the deal with Walgreens and Florida?!? The stores in that state were the only ones that ever got the Phasma wave too, at least for the first month or two. So odd.
Here's hoping there is some kind of unique UPC or item# for this one to make it easier to track down.

For those of you like me who are annoyed at not being able to find this figure in stores, good news! It is back up In Stock on the Walgreens website. ;D
I ordered two to get free shipping. SO HAPPY to scratch this one off The List. Walgreens is my least favorite store to stalk.
Now all I need from Santy Claus is an extra Shocktrooper and it's a happy Christmas all around. :D

I got my order yesterday, the day after I placed it. I was amazed, I wish I could order every figure from Walgreens.com. ;D Great experience! I really like the figure too, better than the original, IMHO. Looks great in the blacklight too. I love that sculpted skull under the dome!

Anybody know if these are still around? This one totally slipped my mind until a local guy on Rebelscum was trying to scalp some. Didn't think they were even out yet until I reread this thread.

I stopped at dozens of Walgreens in December and never saw these at retail.

Supposedly they are supposed to be hitting again in February, according to a tweet I read recently. I haven't seen them either.

I found a couple of these at Walgreens last night. They were on a tiny display on the side of an endcap, away from the toy aisle. It made me happy to finally see these for sale in a store. :)

I was able to pick up this Vader at a Walgreens on my way home from work today. I only saw one, but it was good to knock this off my list.
But a general note if you are looking for these? Check the end caps, because that's where I found mine, not in the regular toy aisle. Most of the Walgreens stores in my area still have a dedicated Star Wars end cap, and I get the sense that Walgreens has a directive to place this exclusive Vader on those end caps.

I found a few of these at our local Walgreens today as well. Glad to see them, since I missed the online orders late last year.

I too found a bunch of these on the way home from work this evening. I checked three other Walgreens earlier in the week and they didn't have any Star Wars at all, but the fourth store had at least ten Vaders.
Happy to be able to cross this one off the list.
