Revenge of the Sith / Re: Best places to buy Ep III action figures
« on: August 3, 2005, 10:13 PM »
I have actually found Wal-mart to have the biggest stock of stuff but I haven't been to Target or TRU in awhile so I could be wrong.  We have 2 Wally Worlds to choose from here.  KB Toys didn't have much of anything when I went in there today so I was a little bummed out.  I went to K-Mart today and saw Gen Grievious's cool ride and I saw the Unleashed figure of him which I wouldn't mind having.  I also saw the M&M figures which I hadn't seen except on here.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...
« on: August 3, 2005, 10:10 PM »
I went to one of our K-marts today and saw the Anakin Evolution pack.   Now, I wasn't too keen on those but if they had the trooper 3 pack I would have definately gotten that one.  I had never seen an Evolution pack but had noticed quite a few people on here and RS mentioning them so I had to see if I could find one.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Official Movie Thread
« on: July 31, 2005, 11:24 PM »
I went skimming through all 19 pages and found some movies that I have seen that I would like to comment on:

Starksy & Hutch - was actually funny.  I love Owen Wilson.  I didn't expect it to be as good as it was.  Of course, it had it's stupid parts, what movie doesn't?

Hidalgo - I actually liked that.  Viggo played a good cowboy in this movie.  I guess I wanted to watch it because of him being in LOTR but also because he was in GI Jane.  He's a pretty hardcore actor and I've liked everything he was in.  This movie kept me intrigued although I didn't like one part in the movie which I won't say here because it might spoil it for some who haven't seen it.

50 First Dates - what do I expect with Adam Sandler, right?? I atually liked it so much that I bought the DVD, though.  It was cool that he stuck with her even though she had a condition.

Confessions of Teenage Drama Queen - I like Lindsay Lohan but I think she could have done better with this one.  I liked her in Freaky Friday the best so far.  But, then again I haven't seen Herbie Fully Loaded, yet.

LOTR - The whole trilogy was excellant but I like Two Towers the best.  Gollum is my favorite Character although Legolas follows right behind.   I like it when Smeagol/Gollum get to talking to each other.  Comical!

Dirty Dancing : Havana Nights - I bought this DVD with misgivings that it wasn't going to be as good as the first one.  Nor was it but I still liked it and have actually watched it a few times.

Hellboy - I like the fact that Hellboy likes cats.  HAHA .  Overall good movie, kept me on the edge of my seat from one scene to the next.

The Village - I have just recently seen this movie.  I like Joaquin Phoenix in everything he's been in.  M. Night Shamalyan always has come up with great movies.  And, I love the fact he's always in them.  They have showed this movie every night this month on STARZ since it's a new release and just about every night I watch it.  I guess that is how much I liked it.

Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban - I have loved all the Harry Potter movies.  I like this one quite a bit but I am really not sure which I like the best as of yet.   I am anxiously awaiting the Goblet of Fire movie to come out because I really want to see that one.

Terminal - I thought this movie was going to be a bad one.  I mean, how much can you come up with some guy living in an airport terminal.  But, it surprised me.  It's Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta that hit it off I believe that kept me so interested.  And, I have wondered if that could actually happen to somebody.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - pretty good although at first it was a little odd.  I like Jude Law and Angelina Jolie and Gwnyth Paltrow so they made it good.

Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 - I finally got to see these.  I liked the first one the best.  Why?? I guess because it was more violent.  HAHA!  Nah, I actually liked both of them.  Uma Thurman and David Carradine.  I like those 2 the best.    It shocked me in the end though :(

Spiderman 2 - It was good.  I liked the first one better.  Not sure why.

The Day after Tomorrow - Absolutely loved this movie.  From the people from ID4 they outdid themselves again.  I wonder if that scenario could actually happen here?

White Chicks - I thought this was hysterical!!!!  The Wayan brothers to me have always made me laugh.

Napolean Dynamite - At first when I saw this I was thinking what is the point of this movie?  Well, I know there really isn't one...hahaha.  I like it though and I hope that I end up owning it pretty soon.   I like Kip and Tina the best...*laugh*   For those of you who have seen it you will know what I am talking about.

Aliens VS Predator - For not having really gotten into the Alien or Predator scheme I actually liked this movie.  I have always been a little nervous watching the Aliens...I don't know, I guess they just give me the creeps and I have never liked the sound the predator made but all in all , a good movie.

National Treasure - I just watched this today.  I thought it was good.  Nicolas Cage rocks.   I like Sean Bean too.    Oh, going treasure hunting sounds like fun!

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - I didn't really care for this movie.  I am not keen on subtitles.

Finding Neverland - my parents saw this before I did and they said it was really sad.  I watched it shortly after they did and found that yes it was sad but I didn't cry over it.  I like Johnny Depp, he was awesome with the kids!

Robots - I saw this in the theater.  I liked it a whole lot.  I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.  It had an all-star cast and Robin Williams is another of my all time favorite actors.  It turned out really great IMO.

I realize this is a huge post but I just wanted to get my 2 cents in there. HAHAHA .  I want to see War of the Worlds, Chronicles of Narnia (after I read the books), and Stealth eventually.  I don't think I want to see Sky High, looks stupid.  Kind of like Team America did to me.  I was never a fan of South Park although I did watch a few episodes.

Collections / Re: KNASHDX's Collection
« on: July 31, 2005, 09:49 PM »
Nice collection.    I am sure it all cost a pretty penny to collect all those things.  I have a small collection started but at the moment I don't have a place for it so I've packed it away carefully in my closet.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Coca-Cola or Pepsi?
« on: July 31, 2005, 07:30 PM »
Before I stopped drinking carbonated drinks I would have to say that Pepsi was my all time favorite.  It was sweeter than Coke IMO.

I used to say pop when I refered to anything carbonated (pepsi, coke, mountain dew, etc) but when I moved to the south nobody knew what I meant and they always referred to it as Coke even though there are different flavors.  So, needless to say I call it soda pop every now and then.

I didn't read everything in this thread because I was afraid it would have spoilers.

I haven't ever read the books but I saw the trailer for the movie and decided I needed to read the books first.  I am weird that way!  So, 2 weekends ago a friend of mine bought it for me.  I love those kinds of books.  Funny thing is my fiance won't let me read it until I have moved in with him in Sept.  Sort of hard to read it over the phone from 3,000 miles away, right?

Anyways, I am sure these will be good books when I finally get to read them...hahaha.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Too Much Stuff?
« on: July 30, 2005, 11:42 PM »
I do collect SW's figures but I don't really have that big of a collection, yet.  Plus, got to have money!!!  I collect snow globes mostly and I am running out of room.  I have soooo much stuff in general that I've had to pack most of it in the closet until I can get a cabinet to put them in.  I love to display my stuff for everybody who comes to my house to see and I can't wait to be able to do that.  :)  Soon, I hope!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What do you drive?
« on: July 30, 2005, 11:40 PM »
I noticed the Mustand in the beginning of this thread and got a kick out of it!!!  I have never actually heard of that brand of car and wish I could own one :) :) :)  Just kidding!!!!!!

I drive a '95 Ford Aerostar van.  It was a hand me down from my parents and even though it's not a "cool" ride at least it is something to get me around.  I would hate to have to walk to town when it takes 25 minutes to get there driving.  I will be selling it in the next couple of weeks to pay for a moving truck.  I want to sell it now even though I won't be moving until September...that way I won't have to worry too much about getting that done in time.  I am a worry wart!!!

Thanks everybody!!!!

Omega, I usually frequent Wuher's Cantina but I do more or less post in other places, I guess just whatever interests me at the time.  I don't go to RS as much as I used to but I do skim through the threads just to see what is going on.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Phobias...
« on: July 19, 2005, 06:04 PM »
Hey Kevin, Did you see the Vegas Fear Factor where people were eating those spiders alive? I believe they were the exact same kind you posted. Maybe that would help you get over the phobia.

I'm not sure I have any phobias. I know there are many things that give me the chills, but if I saw that Spider (or a land shark) I'd probably just go the other way.

Snakes.....man, I am scared of them but my friend has one in a cage top of on his TV and I don't mind it being there. I think I'm just scared of the idea of meeting one in the wild that can bite me.  :)

I saw that episode.  Creepy little things!!!!  I don't like spiders either.  They give me the shivers!  I scream and run from the room when I see one.  I usually have to have somebody else kill it because I just can't stand being in the same room with them.  One night I remember reaching over to get something off my stereo speaker and there was a orange spider crawling across it...it was BIG but I can't measure how big it was.  All I know is I kept screaming until somebody came in the room and killed it.

I also don't like snakes...*shiver*  I saw one in the woods and nearly jumped out of my skin.  I just don't like them!!!!

I don't mind needles, they don't bother me but if there is a bug?  Get it away from me!
