Above is multiple sets together, really love how you can configure it in different ways. $50 with the fleet trooper is a heck of a deal.
So glad that the current Hasbro team is dipping their toes more now in diorama-esque playsets. For years it seemed like these things would never happen.
GTP Space Walls seemed to have opened up some eyes.

Yeah, I'm planning to plunk down $100 for two for sure.... maybe more. Just thinking about it, Hasbro made a big deal about this being Rogue One and ANH, but you can use it for Bail/Obi-Wan/Yoda in RotS dioramas too!
So... I guess I'm actually down for like four now? Two for ANH, one for Rogue One backdrop, one for ROTS back-drop. ::)
Do I really want to spend $200 on four of these? Times like this make me glad I'm not buying the 6" stuff too. :P

*...One side of one of the doorways should have had "blasted through" deco. And they could have at least painted the back side of the backdrop itself black to hide the inverted embossing between the archway pieces if we are meant to use the back too...

The modularity of these is genius... the way my shelves are, doing them in a T-shape won't work for me, but I'm definitely i for the full hallway / 2-hall set up.
Gonna need some Death Star / Imperial hallways that work the same way.

Ha... I'm thinking between POTF2, POTJ, and the SA one, I probably have 12 or 15... plus these. Now I'm thinking I do one big long hallway bridging the two movies, with Vader throwing guys around on the left side, and choking Antillies on the right.

That's the beauty of this thing. Now I'm wondering what the layout looks like for the escape pod side of the wall. I wonder if the floor plates fit on that side too.
Oh man, now I'm realizing how much I want foot pegs in the floor plates. I don't see any. Those rad poses are less rad when you have to glue the figures in place.

You’d be surprised. Lotta people think the holster should be done. I still do but on a repack like this I’m not shocked it’s just a repack too. It’s filler in the set and a good choice.

I hate to agree. We absolutely can use an upgrade with a holster and new head-sculpt. But, it would stink with this set.

It’d be kinda neat to see it as like maybe the MP from Rogue One. Perhaps has a sleeve cuff you slide up the arm. That would be cool to me. Ditch the hat and leg ammo thing in place of a holster, sleeve cuff, new head. Rebrand it.
Or I’d totally be into them doing the director of Rogue One as a RFT from the films end.

I ordered a couple of these. They look awesome! The inclusion of a Rebel Fleet Trooper is cool. But with it being on a Rogue One card it left me wondering why they would reissue a RFT with the most distinctive look out of all of the Rebel Troopers on the Tantive IV in A New Hope. I'd like to see some alternate head sculpts for the RFT's. And I think making one with Gareth Edwards' likeness would be fantastic!
And I was happy to see that Cardboard Galaxy already has plans in the works to enhance the inside passageway where Leia puts the datacard with the Death Star plans into R2-D2.

Yes, I am really excited by the possibilities of this set! I also envision doing a Profundity hallway (Vader vs RFTs from Rogue One) backdrop that will line up with a doorway, a bridge area, the ANH "Vader/Antilles" room, maybe a ROTS conference room? This piece is very inspiring...

Hasbro pulse is now sold out on this. That seems significant. Hopefully it sends a loud message to hasbro about how much we like playsets with an amazing design.

It's more of a diorama than a playset though, no? I'm glad that's the angle they're taking. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have no interest in an Emperor's throne room, with a garbage masher one level down, and playsets tend to take huge liberties in the name of play features. Focus on the environment, not the play features.

I'm with you that some kind of generic "Death Star" playset that tries to have features from RO, ANH, and ROTJ kinda doesn't interest me as much anymore. I'd much rather have a great $50 stand-alone RO Death Star Control Room set, a $50 ANH Garbage Masher Set, and a $50 ROTJ Throne Room set, etc.
If Hasbro wants to make them modular enough that people who want to stack them can? Fine, as long as it doesn't take away from the overall look of the piece. I doubt I'd stack them though.

I received my sets from Dorkside Toys on Friday.
For what you get for $50, I'm good with it. The sets are not GTP or Owen Driscoll quality in my opinion, but that's ok. It's a diorama-esque playset, which is exactly what I used tp alwash bash Hasbro for NOT making. And here we finally are with Jabba's Palace, the Freeze Chamger, and now this. So while it could be better, I'm just enjoying that this has finally happened.
In these pics, I combined two sets. In the below pic, it's 35 inches long for anyone considering making room on a shelf to set something like this up:

I was surprised to see just how long the hallway is when it's all assembled. I got 2 sets, so I'm interested to see how I can augment the environment with the additional parts.
And while I would have liked the Rebel Fleet trooper to get a new head sculpt, the paint apps are great. And the cardback art is really cool!

LOL! How silly of me, I should have remarked on the lack of a holster. ;)
What I like about the set is that a number of the parts are interchangeable. I set it up in the configuration that's on the front of the box. And I almost threw away the envelope with the footpegs. It's almost impossible to find that thing!

I've had a couple of packages shipped via USPS that have gotten "stuck" in the past couple of weeks. They sit for no apparent reason in one town or another for about 7 days before they get unstuck and start moving again. I'm not sure if they've got semis full of packages that make it to a post office and get ignored for a week in a parking lot or what. Glad I'm not having critical medicine shipped to me via USPS.
It seems anything sent via UPS, Fed Ex, or Amazon moves at a brisk pace. USPS and any of the other lesser brands (SmartPost, etc.) seem to have really struggled lately.

Mine showed up today. Nice addition to the collection, although I'm not sure where I'm going to display it. I might actually be different and set it up with Yoda, Obi-Wan and Bail Organa walking down the hallway.

It fits most shelves kinda nice... I too am not sure how I’ll use them ultimately, or if I’ll maybe keep mixing it around. I dunno.

Setting it up with just the one wall looks great on a shelf. But setting it up as a corridor with the walls facing one another becomes a little challenging to display. But some of the photography that I've seen of it set up that way is fantastic. I have to figure out a way to display it like that, because unfortunately my shelves are only 12" deep.

I got a chance to open and set mine up last week, and it really is neat. Like you mentioned though, more than one could be a display problem. I picked up two of the Carbon Freeze sets (one full price, one discounted on Amazon), and haven’t even opened the second. Heck, I took the original down yesterday because I just don’t have a place for it right now.I like it, just challenging to display for me.

I did some modification to my two hallway sets to get them to fit within a Billy shelf. I plan on getting a couple more to use for temp setups and photos, but I'm glad I was able to mod these for my evergreen Rebels shelf. Kind of a nod to Home One.

EE has confirmed that my order was lost somewhere between the EE warehouse and the first FedEx stop. I hope the package thief who nabbed it is enjoying his 2x Hallway playsets. ::)
Since it's now OOS at EE (not coming back until April/May), I asked them to just refund my account and I'll try to nab these somewhere else.

Sorry for the delay, I just noticed this. It's just a thick foamcore board. I've been using it for my Jabba's palace (although it's covered in plaster there) so I just cut a quick piece for this. Underneath the hallway is a couple 2x4's for support, but those don't show.

OMG - Jeff! This EXACT same thing happened to me. I had bought four of them from Amazon and I kept the fifth one I ordered from EE because of their Mint-Condition Guarantee. Thankfully one of the four I got from Amazon was in MIB shape, I just kept that one in package and was awaiting my EE order to finish the four-walled hallway.
Anyway, I spoke with EE on Friday asking what was going on with THREE of my orders - the hallway being the worst offender as it supposedly shipped on January 19th and *STILL* hadn't arrived.
They told me the same thing they told you - that my package was lost and that they would have to file a claim and send me a new one. I agreed to that at first and then the woman said "we expect to get more in May" - and I was shocked at how casual they were over the fact that I had been charged for something, that is questionable as to whether or not it even shipped and now they were going to make me wait three months for a replacement to ship.
I told her to give me a refund instead and while I was waiting for her to process it - I ordered one more off Amazon, it arrived Sunday and now my hallway is complete.
I am actually worried about my two Black Series cases that shipped on Feb 1st and Feb 6th respectively - neither has had ANY shipping update and if they tell me that the same thing has happened with those, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do.
I thought maybe BBTS was a suitable alternative and I'm *STILL* waiting for my third wave of Black Series 40th Anniversary ESB figures - I keep worrying that they are just going to cancel my order on me with the explanation that the "vendor will not be shipping them any more".
I have been a customer of EE since the 90s and in my opinion they have REALLY gone down hill in the last two years. Does anyone know if Jason & Aaron sold the company and got out of the business or something? Cause back when they started EE - the company really gave a damn, now they just don't seem to give a ****.

Your story sounds pretty much the same as mine, down to the same 1/19 "ship" date on my lost Tantive Hallway sets.
I said it in another thread, but in the last 2 years, I've had more troubles with EE on lost shipments, items shipped that were clearly non-mint before they shipped them, unprocessed refunds, and more than I have in the 20+ years before that. I know COVID was to blame for some of the really slow shipments last Summer, but not the other things.

Same on the shipment of stuff that was clearly non-mint before it went into the box or went into the box with inadequate packaging/padding.
The customer service reps you speak with just don't seem to care, their attitude is "we can refund or ship you a new one" - at one point I said "you know, you could actually be SAVING costs if you just ensured that customers who you know are going to be taking advantage of the "mint condition guarantee", are shipped mint items that are well packaged.
It was like I asked them to cure cancer, build a perpetual motion machine and discover cold fusion.

Cracked open my set today and I really, really like it.
I know this might not have been a success in the Target/Wal-Mart aisles, but for a collector focused item this is downright fantastic.
$50 for a really nice display and a bundled figure that would have sold for $13 on its own. So really $37 for a fairly large and flexible display with working doors.
I hope they do something similar with an Imperial hallway if they don't do a full on Death Star / Star Destroyer in the coming years. I'd probably buy a handful of the Imperial versions with blast doors, elevator opening, etc.
My only slight gripe is with the foot pegs. I guess I like that they're removeable so if you don't want them you don't need to use them, but where they're setup is a little odd. I'm not sure how they could have done them better - maybe have a reversible floor panel that on one side was totally flat and on the other have molded pegs built in, and probably a bunch more.

I don't think we need a Millenium Falcon interior. We already have the BMF.
Sure, but I can’t put that on a regular shelf like the Jabba’s palace set. Just saying, I’d be into it.

Totally, I'm just throwing out ideas. Endor bunker would be another fun interior. I'd be all about a more robust ROTJ Throne Room... There are Bespin Duel things you could do...

Those are definitely some nice ideas. I think what's great about the Tantive IV hallway is the way you can build on it and put multiple sets together. It's definitely got me thinking about some specific locations and how Hasbro could present them in such a way that one set would look great, but combine them and you could make something bigger and cool.
But I don't think the concept would lend itself to every kind of environment. The Jabba's Palace Adventure set is a perfect example. That alcove is unique to one section of the audience chamber. An add-on section with the archway where Jabba's dais is located seems like it would be a good companion piece to the original set.
With Death Star hallways there has been a lot done with third party makers. But how do you present it in a mass scale? I think a format similar to what we got in the Tantive IV hallway would work well. What seems to be specific to the Death Star in Imperial architecture is that the walls are pretty much vertical. The way I think it could work?
-2 x interchangeable wall segments
-Opening/closing blast door
-Turbolift door / chamber or the semi-circular pillars
-2 x floor sections
-Imperial Navy Trooper pack-in (possibly in Kenner style deco)
I think a similar presentation would be great to do with the Imperial cruiser and base corridors. But those corridors tend to be angled and have the braces that are spaced at a regular interval. And what's great with these is that they tie in well with The Mandalorian. And definitely include a pack-in figure that would be specific to The Mandalorian!

You could almost certainly make a First Order set with a similar concept to the Imperial sets. The main difference seems to be that the angles of the walls are significantly different - Imperial walls angle inward, and in a First Order corridor it's narrow at the floor and widens out at the ceiling.
With the Cantina it seems like things might be a bit more open ended. In this case I think that Hasbro could make a couple of different sets to depict different parts of the Cantina.
ALCOVES - These would be the booth sections of the cantina. Closed in and with seats and a table for each alcove. Do you keep it to one alcove per set or maybe two? That would be a point of discussion. For a pack-in? A TVC Cantina band member with all of the instruments. But I would also be certain that the Cantina band members would also be offered as a mainline figure so that you wouldn't have to buy 6 playsets in order to get all 6 band members.
THE BAR - I think this should get done in a similar way to the OTC cantina segments. And in this case maybe split it into two sets. Each set could present half of the U shape of the bar and half of the distillery segment in the center. In the first set pack-in a TVC Wuher. I'm not sure about a pack-in for the other set, but someone specific to the Cantina that's worthy of a TVC release.
