Also, Loki is directly asked by Thor who he is working for and he does not answer.

I think "generic invading force" worked fine. They wanted the cube. Loki had it. Why do we need to know much more about them? They already had what - 8 major characters and a handful of minor ones to give motivation/depth too. Throwing up more info on why the Chitauri want the cube to conquer the universe wouldn't add much, IMO.
On the other hand, I just reminded myself of the wave 3 case assortment for the Avengers line - 3 hulks and 3 Iron Man figs...I won't say that having a bunch of IM and Hulks is a bad idea yet, depending on the success of the movie. While we see failure in not being able to get a particular figure, I am sure a bigger failure would be a child not being able to get a core character, like IM, and passing on the line entirely. Pegs full of Loki and aliens and Nick Fury don't help anyone.
That's actually kind of what my display case for vintage is, in design, but not the cardback background of course. Mine's just stained wood. The major variants are in there... Vinyl Jawa, pin head Han, brown snake Yoda, multiple R2's...
My gripe with that is you can't display the variations well then. I'm kind of a stickler for primary variations getting displayed too. It's great, a really neat idea, but wouldn't work for my collection display I guess.
I do like that the Rebo Band and blue Snags got slots in there though.
Saw Cabin in the Woods today....I've been hooked on horror flicks since I was a boy. This movie was no different until almost the end. Nice twist! All Whedonites must see this film! His style is all over it! Spoilers:
Social media research, like what Evolve24 does, could benefit Hasbro.I have said this for the longest time. These companies could easily grab a ton of free feedback if they would just share what they are doing during the development process. That would have prevented that horrible action feature Jedi Luke from proceeding.
Or, they could just hire a handful of collectors as advisors. Or just read the dang forums more. It shouldn't be that difficult.
