There is going to be an Indiana Jones 2-Pack available to celebrate the release Indy 4 this summer. For those of you that already own the Star Wars Series 2 chase figure, there is enough of a difference between that figure and this year's release. Although I'm not very happy with the 2-pack release (I would have prefered a full Indy Series of figures), it's better than nothing...

Ooooh... nice find. I guess I'm not surprised since Medicom has done the Kub/Be@r 2-packs for many summer movies lately, but you're right - a whole Indy series would have been a lot more fun. :-\
Hopefully they will end up at Robby as well so I can get a group order going... :)

That's a very good point. I forgot about the Lost series... I could think of at least 12 characters that I'd like to see in brick format from the Indy movies.

Big difference in the 2 Indy's which is good. The hat is different, face, shirt plus belt on shirt, holster & markings on the side of the legs & different whip by the looks of it. Might be more, anyone else?

Thanks Jeff! And thanks DSJ for the close-up photos. I looked at some on-line and noticed the hat, holster and pants but now I see the shirt is different as well.
As much as I like the chase variant, the new one looks really cool. I love the little idol that came with the chase figure but the Be@rbrick isn't bad.

I think the chances of getting an Indy series now are higher than before. They did this same thing with Lost. If they get a license for Indy, why not a whole series.

At this point though the biggest hitch would be how to incorporate an ROTLA Indy into that movie series and still make it different enough from the chase version from the SW series 2 version. The other three movies would be quite easy to do and the rest of the ROTLA series as well. But it's got to have an Indy in it, maybe a Professor Indy version?

Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead, I'm not ordering from them at all. I prefer to go with Jeff than ever take a chance with BBTS since I've read all the problems you guys have all had over the years with them. I just figured I'd point it out that they also had the item up for pre-order.

BBTS had the SW 2007 Medicom Collector Club Box Set up for preorder & some of us preordered, BBTS could not come through & cancelled all the orders.
Other than the Kuby box set, I have had no problems with them.

I think they will be goo for this one, the SW set was for Club Memebers only, this one is a regular release.

Dale, have you heard anything from Robby about these? I sent them an e-mail two weeks ago and another last week and I've heard nothing back from them. Man, their customer service has dropped waaaay off in the last few months.
I have no idea if they haven't recieved them yet or if they didn't have enough to go around or what the story is... :-\

Nope, no e-mails thus far. Come to think of it, I have not had any e-mails from Robby in a long time. Last one I got was back in Aug 7th & before that July 21 on the new relocation. Heck, I have not had any new item update e-mails ethier. :-\
I checked the site earlier & it's still show a release of 2008/08/31. HLJ has the set on back order after they filled those orders & sent them out & BBTS is still showing a preorder. :-\
I have never seen Robby been this slow before, I'm getting a bit nervous. :-\

I was wondering about this set as well. The e-mail i got from RObby was when they cancelled by Dark Knight Kubrick preorders. Have not heard from them since.

Yeah, the last e-mail that I got from them (early August) talked about thier shut-down for their summer holiday (aug 9th -aug 17th). I haven't seen a thing from them since then... :-\

All this and still no answers/e-mails from Robby. Now we're left wondering if "SOLD OUT" means sold out for everyone or sold out of their allotment. I wish they'd actually answer an e-mail and let me/us know one way or the other what is happening. >:(

What i dont get is why they cancelled my order for the Dark Knight sets saying they were sold out and they are still listed on the site. They have gone down hill. Makes me worry about the next wave of Star Wars Kubricks.

Just to add to the pile on... I have yet to recieve any response from them. Even the e-mails in Japanese have gone unanswered, which seems like a really bad sign. I could see them having trouble with english e-mails, but if they can't even respond to the ones in Japanese... :-\

Yup, I agree Jeff. I'm really not all that concerned about the Indy/Bear 2pack. It's more the longer term ramifications for the other stuff going forward. Getting a box from HLJ.com or whomever isn't a big problem, but if they go back to OT stuff with series 11, then I'm very concerned. Obviously for the completeists/non-OT-snobs it is a much, much bigger issue. Quite sad they've just completely bailed on us. I checked my account and everything 'looks' normal, so it would be nice to have an explanation.

Yeah the long term stuff worries me as well. I have a few things on order but am not too worried. I can get my RAH Royal Guard from Sideshow and the same with the Hot Toys stuff. As for Series 10, i think we are screwed. The full sets of 9 figures have been scary for the last few waves on ebay.

Man, I just got a headache trying to read that e-mail... ???
It's hard to tell exactly what is happening in that e-mail because it's so choppy, but since the e-mail mentions liquidating the stock to "repay it about the customer who has the due", I'm assuming that Robby is totally going under.
It looks like the purpose of this e-mail is to ask permission to transfer our info ("Information such as customer's where to make contact and address,etc.") to this new Milestone place. Milestone must be trying to acquire their customer/client list, either through buyout or merger or something.
I think I'll send an e-mail to this Milestone (http://www.mile-stone.jp) place and see if they can help shed some light on the topic...

As Mr.Amakata mentioned he has an intention to his account with you to be changed to MILESTONE Inc, if you decided so.
The reason why coming this situation is he told us to finish his business soon later but would not like to bother your smooth business to get merchandises from Japan .
Then we discussed each other and finally he sent this information and introduction of MILESTONE Inc, us.
We are not sure how and when he is going to finish , although if you would like to purchase any collectable stuff from Japan , please do not hesitate to inquire anything after making contract with my company.

Looking around the net a little bit this AM, it looks like a few other Robby customers have started looking for new suppliers (http://www.tradekey.com/buyoffer_view/id/406626.htm) too. :P
HLJ is an option, but I don't like the fact that they send you "4 boxes of 12" and not sealed master cases. Back in the early days (S3 maybe), one of the guys here in MN got "4 boxes" and it wasn't a master case (ie - NO chases!). I've been nervous to order from them ever since... :-\

Oh I hear ya Jeff on HLJ but for now, that is the only option for me. Yeah that 4 boxes not sealed in the MC was scarry & it could happen again but I would rather deal with them than say ActionHQ. ;) Sure wish Blister would sell internationally.

This hurts me a little less than you master case guys, since I've only been doing a box anyway for the prequel stuff. But I assume/hope they'll move on to other stuff and hopefully back to OT stuff after a bit. CW wave first, then back maybe? Yikes.
Alright, I assume now that the Medicom/Indy idol thing is done with Robby period, so off to ebay I go (hah! back on topic).

I broke down and bought this set from BBTS. $35 is a bit steep for this set, but at least I know I have it coming. I also picked up a set for BrentS and picked up the Sweeney Todd set so I could save on shipping...
