What is everyone's top 3 favorite TV shows/series of all time (of course before the Star Wars series premiers)?
For me, it's as follows -
1 - The Simpsons
2 - Band of Brothers
3 - Seinfeld
:P
-
1. Smallville
2. Angel
3. Late Night with Conan Obrien
Kevin
-
In no particular order:
MASH
Friends
Joey
ER (my wife got me hooked on this)
Desperate Housewives (another one my wife hooked me on)
Sopranos (still need to see season 5 and 6)
-
1. Seinfeld
2. Gilligan's Island
3. Three's Company
I never tire of reruns for any of these shows, and it's a little like Name That Tune, in that I only have to watch a few moments from an episode before I think "Oh yeah, this is the one when..."
In fact, when I was a kid, before VCRs, I used to tape record (audio tape) Gilligan's Island episodes and listen to them when going to sleep. Good times. ;)
-
Got to break it down in different eras. Could easily add more to the older years (MASH, Welcome Back Kotter, Hawaii Five 0, Happy Days, yada yada yada). Shows were so much better 20-30 years ago.
Current (2000 and beyond):
The Shield
Sopranos
CSI
Recent (80's & 90's):
Seinfeld
Taxi
X-Files
Old School (60's & 70's):
All in the Family
Sanford and Son
Hogans Heroes
-
- Simpsons
- Sienfeld
- Transformers
-
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
-Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
-Star Trek: The Next Generation
-Family Guy
-Aqua Teen Hunger Force
-Chicago Cubs games
-
I like this format ;)
Current (2000 and beyond):
That 70's Show
Family Guy
Recent (80's & 90's):
Seinfeld

The Wonder Years
GI JOE
Old School (60's & 70's):
Bewitched
The Munsters
-
1. Nash Bridges
2. NCIS
3. Conan O'Brian
It's really too bad about Nash Bridges...5 seasons of awesome shows, then the 6th crapped out and it got cancelled, with no DVD release planned. :(
-
OH CRAP! How could I forget my three favorite dramas?
The Sheild, Rescue Me, and Nip/Tuck!
Kevin
-

The Mrs. and I watch our TV together, so that does reflect some of the choices here as well :). I can't really limit it to three either, but I'll try to break it down somewhat.
Current Shows
1. Scrubs
2. Family Guy
3. Smallville
4. Arrested Development
5. Simpsons
6. That 70s Show
7. Lost
8. Desperate Housewives
9. Conan O'Brien

Seinfeld
Futurama (Adult Swim)
Home Movies (Adult Swim)
Smallville
90s Marvel Toons (Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men)
Looney Tunes (Boomerang)
Don't necessarily see these shows every day, but catch them fairly regularly. We don't really watch any reality TV, just don't get into much anymore. We watched a couple of the earlier seasons of Survivor, but haven't really since. We usually lean more towards comedies for the most part, although we're quite into Smallville and Lost.

I'm bumping this. I love Rescue Me. It has been a long wait -- but the season premire is finally on tonight. Does anyone else watch this? I was afraid it would go the way of The Job, but they're back for another season...... 8)

-
3. Friends (I know, I know .....)
2. South Park
1. Lost

House M.D. absolute favorite show
Rescue Me- great show did not care for the seasonal DVD releases though watching them one after another like that seemed to take away from the story.

Currently? Then Heroes.
-
Currently? Then Heroes.
Well, what's your first choice? ::)
-
Blind Date
The DS
-
Currently? Then Heroes.
Well, what's your first choice? ::)
Are you trying to be cute? What are you trying to say exactly?
-
Currently? XXXXXXXXXXXXX Then Heroes.
There needs to be something were the "XXXXXXXXXXXXX" are.
Like "Currently? LOST. Then Heroes."
-
Is heroes over? Then I'm watching reruns?
-
I think--and this is just a guess--that what "The DS" is trying to say is that currently, his favorite show is Heroes. It was just (surprise!) worded a little unconventionally.
My favorite current show is The Office, by a country mile.
All-time favorite would have to be Seinfeld.
-

You ain't kidding. That was almost Lady Jayesque.
Current favorites - LOST (drama) and The Office (comedy)
-
After 'Heroes' my next choices are Law and Order and CSI(wherever).
-

Good call Matt
Actually, If I just worded it like this then it would have been OK
'Current Show? Then it's Heroes.'
I guess I tried to 'cheat' and not use so many words..I guess that went well :P.

Ironically, if you would have dropped just one more word, odds are it would have made perfect sense, and we wouldn't be having this discussion right now.
-
Then currently The Office. Not by a country mile though, just a city mile.
-
I've boycotted television since the demise of AD so I have no favorite 'current' show.
;)
-
Currently I'm watching:
Jericho
Supernatural
-
There are quite a few shows that we enjoy and watch pretty regularly, but as for the favorites:
Comedy
Scrubs (returning November 30th!)
The Office
Drama/Other
LOST
Heroes
Smallville
Supernatural
There's also the old standbys like The Simpsons, Family Guy, and My Name is Earl....oh, and syndication/repeats :). Scrubs is definitely our favorite, and we've watched from the beginning. Its never been a big ratings hit though, and will now (finally) be on Thursday nights - so it might struggle against Grey's Anatomy and CSI, which everyone seems to watch.
-
I watch:
Local News
Vikings NFL Football Games
Currently? CSI*, Law and Order+, The Simpsons&
-
Battlestar Galactica,
24 (at least in January when the new season starts),
World Series (Go Red Birds)
-
Jericho and BSG
Although this weeks Jericho I thought was kinda weak.
-
I amend myself...
227.
I think that's why I grew up the way I did. :P
-

Family Guy
Simpsons
South Park
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Cops
Invader Zim
Angry Beavers
Spongebob
America's Funniest Home Videos
