A new variation for you hunters...

The first release of Heroes & Villians General Grievous (9 of 12) had the #36 Explodo-Grievous figure (which was not the figure shown on the card back):

The second release of Heroes & Villians General Grievous (9 of 12), which is now shipping with the Greatest Battles Figures, has the #9 4-Armed Grievous figure (which is the figure shown on the card back):

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Do You Tip?
« on: August 3, 2006, 09:46 AM »

Me and Mr. Pink, we're a lot alike...

"I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job. "

The Vintage Collection / Re: Target DPCI #s for TSC
« on: August 2, 2006, 11:16 PM »
They do not have unique numbers, just one number for the assortment.  Unless it is an exclusive vehicle (like Kit Fisto's ship or the Snowspeeder), Target does not assign an individual DPCI for an item.

So, the Vader TIE and Mace Windu Starfighter have the same DPCI number as the rest of the $19.99 Vehicle assortment -

And, as a bonus, another one of my favorites from Celebration 3.   :)

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Diamond Comics Imperial Officers 7-Pack
« on: August 1, 2006, 03:36 PM »
Yeah, it's a Diamond exclusive, meaning that any store that orders from them (via Preiviews magazine) can get them in.  They should be available at your local comic shops and also at places like NewForce, EE, StarWarsShop, etc.

It should be at all of the same places that the Sandcrawler or Bounty Hunter 7-Pack were found...

As for ordering from NewForce, well there are a number of existing threads that weigh the pros and cons of NewForce vs. EE vs. other places.

Wow, very interesting.

Don't know if I can picture Heath as the Joker, but I guess we'll have to wait and see some make-up shots to see how they pull it off...  :)

I sure hope the Twins pull the trigger on a Soriano deal, that would be sooo friggin sweet and soooo out of character of the conservatism they have shown the past 15 years.

Oh well, at least we dumped Lohse...   :P

I would think at this point the bulk of your TRU Battle Pack spending would be on TRU Mega Diaper Packs ;)

Don't get me started on how many diapers I'ev purchased over the last 3 weeks... 2 Boys times 8-12 Diapers a day =  :'(

Anyway, on to the report for July...

$354.99  January
$240.39  February
$100.78  March
$111.68  April
$179.68  May
$112.07  June

$648.07 July  :-[

Stuff I bought in the past month:
2006 Saga Tatooine Wave (2 carded)
2006 VTSC Stormtrooper George Lucas (1 carded and 1 opener)
2006 SDCC 501st Stormtrooper (1 carded and 1 opener)
2006 StarWarsShop Shadow Stormtrooper (1 carded and 1 opener)
2006 TRU Hunt for General Grievous (1 opener)
2006 Galactic Hero 2-Packs (4 openers)
2006 SW Potato Head: Artoo-Potatoo
Kubrick Star Wars Series 6 (9 openers)
Carded Kubrick Jorg Sacul w/Acrylic Case

$600+?   I didn't even find the Endor wave or the Greatest Battles stuff yet, just a bunch of overpriced exclusives and the Damn Kubricks.   ::)

August should be another couple hundred if all those figures hit... guess it's time to haul some stuff off to eBay to make up some of that spending.   :-\

I was just adding up the month so far... my largest $$$ month yet this year with all the Kubricks, the TRU Battle Pack, the SDCC Stuff, and a few other things mixed in.   :-[

I got my 501st in the mail today!   (thanks Matt  :))

Overall, I like this figure.

Like JJ said previously, a cool "front line" trooper to place in front of a group of stormies.  Sure, the banner is in English, not aurebesh, but I can overlook that little detail.

I have no plans to army build him, but I'm glad I got one to open up.

Big thanks to Matt for helping me out with the SDCC 501st Troopers.

Thanks too for all the freebies/goodies from the con!

Always a smooth transaction when dealing with the MAC.   :)

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Endor Wave
« on: July 27, 2006, 01:24 AM »
How come we only have threads by wave and not for each figure? ???

Because if we started a new thread for every new figure like some sites, we'd have had at least 22 new threads thanks to comic-con.  That's a lot of threads, and a lot of good discussion would get buried on page three just because of the volume of threads.   :-\

If people want to start a thread for a particular figure (like, for example, the way the DS Gunner got his own thread, or the BARC Trooper), that is fine.  We just don't like to go overboard with 74 different threads for the 74 2006 Saga figures is all...
