I decided to go New Force and bought the whole Hoth wave.  I wouldn't buy ALL of them normally at retail, but, I'm paying LESS than retail per figure for these, including shipping. I was striking out early on, so this saved a lot of driving and hassle. Plus, there's something about opening a brand new case that's all mine! Turns out I would want one of each anyway.

Hopefully with the later waves I'll practice more moderation, as I don't want every Saga figure.   I'm satisfied with the ones I got from the Carkoon wave, very nice.

Heh, eBay auctions make me laugh.  This one had the bold title all. Look at all the dramatic references to its rareness:

I squeezed out a last clearance item too. ROTS is no longer in the system, but they looked up the last prices. The deluxe vader on a table for $2 and something. I just like a sale.

Eh, Darwin's theory was survival of the fittest, not strongest.   If only the strong survive, well, we'd all be tyrannosauruses here typing at out computers. Anyway, I guess sometimes invoking Darwinism on people gives some type of cosmic justice in certain instances, but really, poor, "weak" people don't tend to die off in the world, and plenty of a$$holes prosper without ever getting justice.  This guy will get something, but its a horrible tragedy about the children, and there's nothing rational about it.

The Police said it's not their place to get involved, and that CYS has to handle it, and CYS said they can't go into the parent's home if they aren't wanted.  Also they were to bring in psychologists, and my brother's ex simply refused to meet with them, and only did so at the magistrates where she lied through her teeth about her behavior.

I know its a rant, rant on brother, but it seems like a problem with the laws. If cops and agencies can't protect children, its because they are barred from doing so by law. Its a real shame. Effs everyone up.

I agree about not killing your kids though. Geez.

I've had no trouble finding any of these, though I only bought 3 of them. That's just my personal experience, because I live near an intown Target that's relatively (for now) scalper safe, and when they put out this case, they sat there literally 4-5 days before a one was sold. (I had bought my 3 at a Wal-Mart).   Judging from all the area reports, this wave showed up at and was restocked at virtually every store. Its not usual to get all figures from a wave that easily.

I wonder how much of these are going to ship. It seems like they are selling pretty well in other parts of the country.

If the final wave didn't come out till like December then I'd think they fell prey to final wave syndrome, but man there were MONTHS of those things supposedly shipping but they just never shipped heavily at all.  I found Cat Miin and Passel like in October or earlier, but even then there wasn't a lot on the pegs.  They were never full at most retailers.

I always see it as the final wave syndrome too.  It may not be a question of timing, a la Hasbro shipping out the last wave by a deadline, but it could just be a production thing. As in, the factory could be pounding out the last wave by a deadline, and just producing less.

This is all speculation on my part, but maybe the production schedule of these figures don't follow the waves precisely. They could be set up for injecting certain molds, painting, etc, then switch, maybe a few figures at a time to the next scheduled figures. Its possible they could backtrack some, i.e., go back and produce a ton more Vaders for shipping those out a case at a time. Once the production schedule winds down, the initial figures could have more production numbers due to backtracking or better scheduling, while the last ones on the schedule are made and that's pretty much it.  Couple that with Hasbro ending certain shipments to warehouses by a deadline, then, we could just be seeing less of the final waves.

Seems like Saga and OTC were the same.  There's so much we don't know about the toy production, so I'm just wondering out loud about it.

Hot Toddy for me! If we're talking special occasions, like catching a cold.

Everyday though, its coffee, no sugar.

Hot tea for the hottie? OMG, that's just sick!

Yeah Jesse, that's Robert Tilton.  I may still have a videotape of that; it is so damn funny. You can't help but crack up.  There's some info on it in his wikipedia article.  I'm stopping short of finding it right now, because I'll crack up again.

Oh nice, after reading that, I found he's the author of several books, such as How to Pay Your Bills Supernaturally:-\

Someone should tell that person that you need to paint the drywall after you tape and spackle it.

Hahahaha!
Sorry, I don't normally laugh at bad photography or attempts to display a collection, but the drywall comment did it for me.

I finally picked up an Exploding Grievous for the $2.38 or so price, just in the spirit of buying things on clearance.

This is seriously cool. http://chir.ag/stuff/sand/

You can use the menu at the bottom to draw plants and wall, erase things, etc.

Kinda like an ant farm with explosions, but no ants.

I found the first clearanced regular figures I've seen (since regular figures are rather rare these days at Target) - Utapaun warriors for around $3.68.   And I'm talking an army of warriors. 20 or so? 25?  Man, what's up with that?

Also the deluxe packs were $6.98 or so. Some clone 3 packs in there. I didn't pick up anything.
