Except for the fact that an army builder is an SDCC exclusive, I like this idea.

I like the idea to.  I may go after a certain few.  Sigh, another pricey line to drool over.

I would buy these in a heartbeat, but, like others I don't want them if I can't get that Stormtrooper.  Even though these cost what a sideshow figure costs, I'd buy tons of these.  Especially the "first 12"

Vader added today (http://ow.ly/i/2EEQ)  8)

Obi-Wan & Boba Fett added too... (http://ow.ly/i/2IfC)

Man, I might try for a Fett.  That would be pretty sweet.

Hmm, diverging from the original 12 already with Fett.  So who loses their spot then?  Leia, Chewie or Death Squad Commander?  And why an ESB cardback rather than SW?

Death Squad Commander. I'm betting he'll be some future con exclusive though as they revealed today that Walrusman (http://ow.ly/i/2ETx) is the exclusive for SWCV.

I ordered the Stormtrooper but don't plan on getting many more. Probably just a Jawa, Boba Fett and if they ever get to it, Amanaman

I am still trying to decide what to do with this line...I have almost preordered a Stormtrooper 3 times on eBay but have waited.  I have no place to put them and don't look forward to spending close to $10000 on all 92...but man they look purty

So they're doing all 92 original Kenner figures?  Crazy.

Not sure if they have plans for all of them - just over a dozen at this point.  If they sell well I'm sure they'll do more though.

I've been checking out pictures of these, and they are mighty tempting.  The price will likely force me to stay away, but they do look really cool.  It would be a fun line to collect - again, if there wasn't anything else out there to be buying.

I didn't pay this much attention, but now I'm tempted... is it too late to order the Stormtrooper or are we expecting GG to have some available to the PGM later on?

What do you think now that you have it in-hand? Are you all-in for this line?

Not sure yet, if I keep it, I definitely won't keep them on the card...way too big and will take up way too much room.  Stormy never did much for me as a kid...the rest though have me intrigued :-X

I grabbed the Stormie. looks real nice, the plastic is a little soft, joints might get real loose if you play with them to much.
He can't hold the gun right either... :-[  but all in all a nice piece for a focus collection.
The packaging is really big but a Empire logo?, Leaves a lot of play for custom cards and boxes so that's kind of cool.
I really hope they make the capes for the Vader, Ben etc. vinyl cape for Jawa is a must and cheaper to produce.
The Fett is a must have for sure but making the whole vintage line is just nuts. That being said would love to see a Imp Gunner and Bossk.
Maybe they'll do a few fan choice figures? What, a 12" Greedo? that's just sweetness...
imagine a scale Falcon or Death Star? The mind collapses at the thought...

Why the **** are they releasing this again?

Army building?  ???  Seems odd, but maybe it was hard to get the first time around?

I haven't kept up with anything GG as much as I should've for the front page though...  It's usually just too pricey for me, but still looks neat.

Greedo is bitchin' though.  I can't wait to see the Gonk.

EDIT:  I think the Stormie is on a new cardback from the last one, but I'm not positive.

Why are you upset that it is coming out again?   ???

Because it was an exclusive #1 and #2 they could have released something else instead (like Hammerhead or Walrus Man)

Those are non-issues for me.  If an exclusive is rereleased later, it doesn't really hurt those that bought the exclusive - it just helps those that couldn't get one earlier.  Sucks that you maybe could have gotten it for less, but you could probably get a lot of SW stuff for less if you wait it out.  As for new figures, I doubt they are holding something else new back just to create a window of time for a reissue.  More likely they would have released nothing right now if the stormie wasn't coming out.

Yeah I am more mad that I had to pay out the nose for an exclusive that I could have waited for...I would say Hasbro will sometimes release exclusives down the road but GG is usually pretty good about exclusive being exclusive.  ANd IIRC I paid close to $150+around $20 shipping for the ESB one...oh well

I kind of agree with Scott on the issue of GG exclusives compared to other stuff.  To me it's different collecting...  The money involved would probably annoy me too, if GG re-issues exclusive stuff.  Hasbro, not so much, but they're more the toy than the "collectible" I guess.

I can dig re-issued with changes though, so the exclusive is still the exclusive.  It probably still diminishes the value of the original though, I'd think.

I Suppose.  I'm just anti-exclusive in the first place.  The idea that something cool is produced, but not available to everyone who wants it is ****** IMO.  I'm happy to have the rarer stuff in my collection, but it doesn't make me feel any better knowing I have it and someone else doesn't.  To me, this is no different than paying the $150 for a BMF and hearing someone else found it for $75 on clearance.  It might suck if I overspent, but if I didn't think it was worth the $150 I paid, then I should have never bought it for that.

Yeah, and I'm not really sure I am thinking about it in the context that "I have something you don't", per se...  I like exclusives that give you something extra that isn't killing everyone else for not having it I guess.

Thinking along the lines of SS 12" figures, that new battledroid with the "1138" on his back is kind of neat, but if you don't get it are you going to go batshit because you got the ones that are random numbers (or whatever they wind up being)?  Or Gree, with a stand...  Though as someone who appreciates an exclusive, I think the stand is even lame to an extreme.  The BD number is just cooler I guess, but still a small thing.

I like when exclusives are available, if you make the effort to get them, but you don't have to make extreme sacrifices to get them (Like a figure is put online from SDCC and you don't have to GO to get it).  I guess that makes it less of an exclusive though, so I dunno.

Has anyone had a problem with this yellowing?  The torso on mine has already noticeably yellowed.

Aww man, that sucks and is really inexcusable for them not to use a more stable plastic.
