Pics?

I feel like this would look great with even just a little less mud.

I'm technologically stuck in the 90's. Don't have an on-line picture account.  :-\

I managed to clean off all the dirt on one of these. Used both Goo Gone and Goof Off. Goo Gone took a little work and couldn't quite get all the recessed detail, but does work. Goof Off was very strong and took the dirt off quickly, but you have to be extra careful to not touch any of the details you don't want to come off - especially the helmet. If there was a product in between, it'd be perfect.

Obviously, that'll probably be a Force Friday thing at the soonest. Just wonder what'll be released between Wave 7 and EIX wave. Hopefully we'll find out next month at SDCC.

About to hit the 125k mark. I can't see it not hitting the 150k mark although it appears to be losing a little bit of steam.

Yeah, it was pointed out to me that even in ANH, not all stormtroopers have holsters, so I'm not as annoyed. That said;

Hasbro really should retire all previous stormtrooper molds. I put the Han Stormtrooper head on the RO Stormtrooper and it looks amazing. It looks to me that the Stormtrooper belt is a separate piece, so should be easy to tool new belts to give us a holster and another with the proper Luke stormtrooper belt.

At this point, I'm just going to replace one company in army with these RO Troopers and perhaps sell the outdated and yellowed company of VOTC stormtroopers.

As for the movie inconsistencies, that all really talks to the different attitudes between all three films while being filmed. In ANH (I cringe having to make the note. It just should be SW!) They were just making a movie, never in a million years expecting that every detail in every frame would be studied and analyzed. But they still cared as much as the budget would allow. In Empire, there was a ton of discipline and attention to detail. Unfortunately with Jedi they were more or less phoning it in, probably as a result of the change in the producing staff.

Pretty amazing how fast this thing is going. Had to order one myself.

My case is on the way. No word on my solid cases of Stormtroopers yet.

The new RO stormtrooper shares the Mimban sculpt, doesn't it?

Yep. Except regular Stormtrooper helmet.

Vinyl capped Jawa anyone?

It's the one vintage figure I don't have. Would be nice to have, even if it's an official re-issue.

I'm in the disappointed camp.

I took one of my Minbar Stormtroopers and cleaned off the mud. Have it standing next to the Han. It's no contest. All previous Stormtroopers are inferior and the molds should be archived.

I have to say, I'm more than a tad disappointed in these. My Han can not hold his blaster, the hand is sculpted too small. Opposite  with the stormtrooper.  :(

I just wanted to mention that while I'm very pleased with the case breakdowns for the Vintage releases so far, I still don't know how to feel overall, mainly because I've bought very few vintage collection figures in brick and mortar stores.

I've been able to acquire everything I want, but that's nearly 100% because of the near perfect case breakdown of all the waves. I think Wave 2 was the only case that wasn't ideal. The plus is, I can buy cases on-line and waste no money on figures I don't need. I also get the perfect cases for carded figure storage. The X-factor is that while I'm happy with that situation, retail has been pretty awful. As of yesterday, wave one cases were still being stock on the brick and mortar pegs I visited hunting for the retro figures. Wave 5 is reportedly starting to ship. That feels like an ominous sign.  :'(

Just curious, did you have to ask for them to be brought out, or were they on the floor? I keep hearing stories that they are going to be in a special shipper display, but haven't heard of anyone actually finding them there.

I asked, gave them the DCPI. Lots of people were out there looking yesterday. First Target I went to, they showed having 4 sets in back, but could only find 1. :(

I managed to score a set yesterday. Very surreal. I feel like I'm 8 years old again.
