The Offical Site put up some great pictures of the 2006 sets, including this better shot of the new LEGO IG-88 and Dengar!

You don't even have to post pictures, just talking about army building habits can get you hate-mail from people who want to call you a scalper or a hoarder or something.   ::)

The reason Bill listen is one of the main reasons I've held off on posting my collection room photos.  I've got some pretty sweet stuff and I don't want a lot of strangers knowing what I've got and where I've got it.  I also don't want to deal with the hassel of the "grabbers" trying to buy figures off me and such.

I've been meaning to post pictures here for quite some time, but I'm just too lazy to do it I guess...  :P

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Wal Mart Sucks
« on: September 22, 2005, 11:26 AM »
So, a friend alerted me to a new trend in Wal-Mart sales...

Wal-Mart Canada has decided to enter the, er... "marital aids" and um... "adult devices" market.

Wal-Mart sets off bad vibes

Toys and Wal-Mart?

1.  How are they going to get away with this?

2.  Will suburbia let them get away with it?

This seems like such an ass-backwards move for Wal-Mart.  I still don't get it.  They dropped Maxim (claiming it was too racy) and they dropped a Pregnant Barbie Doll (claiming it was too risque since she isn't married).  They are constantly editing Movies, Video Games, and CDs for content, but somehow they don't have a problem with selling these sorts of, um, "products"?

::)

ps.
I hate Wal-Mart.  ;)

I'm thinking about making another Microman Scout figure for this auction, do you guys think that's a good idea?

Good idea. I'd buy one of your Micromen even it wasn't for charity.

Yeah, I vote for the Microman Scout too, that figure was incredible!

I belong to a ticket buyers group with some guys at work (9 of us) and we had our Season Ticket Draw last night.  Once again this year I bought in for 4 games.

October 25   vs. VANCOUVER
November 25   vs. ST. LOUIS
January 30   vs. DETROIT
March 21      vs. CALGARY

(The Red Wings was my #1 pick ;D)

The Wild have looked pretty good so far in their pre-season outings, but holy crap have there been a LOT of penalties though.  I guess it's all the "adjusting to the new rules" that's going on...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Covert Ops Clone Trooper

I you think the Covert Ops was bad, look at this: http://www.creaturecantina.com/news_images/2005/0921/candy-corn.JPG

Sadly, that is more movie accurate than either the Utapau Shadow Clone or the Covert Ops Clone - at least there were some Yellow and Orange colored Clones in the movie.  If fact, if you got replaced the yellow with white and added a few more Orange highlights, it'd actually be nice!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Do you display more than one...
« on: September 21, 2005, 10:02 AM »
Does anyone else feel the need to display two of the same figure if more than one display option is available?

Yes, absolutely  :-[

Off the top of my head, I know I've got:

- 2x OTC Dagobah Luke , one handstanding and one with Yoda in the backpack.

- 2x #35 Palpy, one posed with "good" head & saber and a second posed with the evil head & force lightning.

- 2x #50 Anakin, one displayed with full robes and one Crispy/crippled

- 2x Clone Evo Pack, one with the Ep2 Yellow Clone Helmet and one with the Ep2 Clone Pilot Helmet

- 4x #6 Clone Trooper, two with the "imperial" shoulder pad and two with the "clean" shoulder pad

- 2x Saga Padme Amidala (Lars Homestead), one with robe on and one with robe off

And there may be a few others that I'm forgetting...  ;)

Wait till the end of the auction phruby,
thats how i do it. ;)

Yeah, that's how I usually do it when bidding on eBay... but since this is a for charity thing, I don't mind an early bidding war to inflate the price.  IMHO it seems a little scuzzy to snipe these auctions since they are for charity... just my $0.02 I guess.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Battle Packs (5 figure sets)
« on: September 20, 2005, 04:50 PM »
Wait! I saw one at EE that had X1 Rebel vs empire, X1 jedi VS sith, X2 jedi VS separatists. Did they change it or was I looking at a revision? I hope your case is the one because X1 rebelsVSempire sounds to short to be able to get.

that is the case that EE has listed as wave 2...

Star Wars Episode III Battlepack Wave 2 Case:
1x Rebellion vs. Empire, 2x Jedi vs. Sith and 1x Jedi vs. Separatists.

Star Wars Episode III Battlepack Wave 3 Case:
2x Rebellion vs. Empire and 2x Jedi vs. Separatists.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: #65 Tactical Ops Trooper (501st)
« on: September 20, 2005, 04:47 PM »
Actually, just to be clear, the Target Clones are NOT #41 Clones.  They are the Clone Wars SA Sculpt with a new RotS Head.  It is totally different from the #41 Sculpt (the obvious difference being the lack of the antennae).

I agree though, they should have used that Target sculpt for the 501st and used the #38 for the "Utapau Shadow Clone" or Covert Ops Clone instead.  Why does the Utapau Shadow Clone get the best (IMHO) Clone Body, while the 501st get the AT-TE Body?   :-\

Hmmm, I'm starting to hear some reports that these are being found at BJ Wholesales Clubs on the East Coast.

I'm also starting to hear some whispers that these may end up being a shared exclusive and possibly not available everywhere.  I'll do some more digging and see if I can nail down that rumor or not....
