TFSB webpage has now expired.  Not that big of a shock, but I guess that finally ends things.

I would agree, you can recast both roles.  I think people in general freak out too much about recasting these days.  Look at Marvel, they are being very cagey about recasting Kang.  There are rumors they are completely changing their whole slate of movies rather than recast.  They recast the Hulk with no problems.  They even had a show where a variant of Loki is a woman, so they can't do the same thing with Kang and state this variant looks different?

Krahn is holding on.  TFSB website has been stipped to bare bones with only an update screen and nothing about any product at all.  His update is the typical BS that the Bantha isn't his fault, they are only a third company payment processor and that the place in Texas he "paid" to create the Banthas are at fault.  Completely silly since he stated making these things in China.  He also states that there will be an upcoming update on the wave of 13.  I can't believe he is actually still trying to save face on all of this.

EE sent my case order and my doubles except Marok and Sabine.  Cancelled those two and ordered them from Pulse.

Stan Solo has his R4-M9 up for preorder.  His FB post says this and the next item he offers may be it for him.  Also said he would be making this one in lower quantities.  Not sure if this is just his typical rants or not.

I have seen several reports of people getting their shopdisney orders cancelled even though they preordered back in July.

7
I received an email from Hasbro this weekend saying these were delayed until November.  Seen quite a few people in the UK receiving the sets.

I kind of feel the same way about the "Next 17" line of figures.  I like the characters they are making, but the aesthetic seems just a little off for me to want to buy them.  I have a Greedo on the way.  I love the original vintage version, but I had to see how this compares.  The upcoming Degobah Luke looks really good.  The face looks like vintage Luke, but with messy hair.

Just a note, even if you preorder in UK and live in US, you will be charged the UK shipping rate, but the item will ship from the US.  That being said, I have begun preordering some stuff in the UK.  I've held off on the last few minus the Tonnika sisters because I'm beginning the process of moving and didn't want to rock the boat with an address change mid preorder, which I might still have to do.  Greedo is shipping.  However the first couple shipments have been solely preorders.  It has not gone up on the US site yet as in stock.  I have waited on that one, Degobah Luke, and removable helmet Vader.  However, I should close this Friday and might preorder the latter two once I have the new address.  Old house isn't on the market yet at this point, but these preorders are just unpredictable with shipping dates.

I preordered two sets to get a Mon Mothma to open.  Hopefully I can unload the extras or that will be one expensive opener figure.

Seeing a lot of FB posts showing links for these on amazon, only to see that all the links show unavailable and without any photos.  I am guessing preorders for this wave may be showing up shortly.

On the other two vehicles, I waited because I really didn't think it was worth it to back without the extras.  The extras for the Ghost are just ok, but not must haves.  I like the Ghost fine, but I have been downsizing quite a bit and really don't have the space for another huge ship.  It took me over a year to unbox and display the barge.  It is packed again since I'm moving and I have no clue when or where I can display it again.

As for OT vs non OT, I would essentially call this and the Razor Crest OT.  I think both the Ahsoka series and the Mandalorian series feel a lot more OT then the PT or ST.  The Rebels cartoon starts five years before the OT and the other series are a few years afterwards.

My main point is that I don't think the ship showing up in Ahsoka will drive sales.  One would have to see how much cross over their is between show viewers and collectors.  I don't think a non-collector show viewer is going to buy this thing on a lark, just because it is featured on the show.

I can't understand the "ooh look at the cool ship on the show, I want to buy one" mentality.  Really this is a ship that was featured heavily in a cartoon show.  The design of the toy is based off of the cartoon.  The figures included are based off of the cartoon.  Any appearance in Ahsoka will not have the same impact as seeing the Razor Crest every week on the Mandalorian.  I think most collectors are aware of both the ship and the Rebels cartoon.  What this really boils down to is the typical fence sitter collector deciding if they want to shell out the money.  Personally, I didn't back either the barge or the razor crest until the tiers were unlocked.  I think that is what a lot of people are waiting for.  Many collectors are completists and would not be happy with an incomplete set of figures on the special cardbacks.

While I enjoyed Rebels and am liking Ahsoka, this campaign just doesn't interest me.  Even if I had unlimited space and funds, I still don't know if I would back it.  While it is a better choice than their last few failed campaigns, it isn't hitting the collectors sweet spot.  Everyone is clamoring for a Death Star or Star Destroyer.  Even the Mos Eisley cantina is a better bet.  Imagine being able to pull off a cantina set with Tonnika sisters as flex goals?

I don't mind waiting at this point since I will probably be picking up two of each since they are "new" figures.  Still figuring out how to score an extra Mon Mothma from the ROTJ six pack to open.  On the fence about a Yakface to open.  I don't have a vintage one, but I have avoided opening any of the figures that are straight remakes of their vintage counter parts.  Perhaps some day I will spring for a vintage Yakface.
