I wonder if this figure will be available through pre-ordering the game and/or SWS.com?

Similar to the way the Battlefront Scout Trooper was released.

Ugh...I was thinking the same thing.  I hope this is not the case, but definitely looking that way.  Unless this is perhaps the mail away figure we've been hearing about?

Oh yeah, if the entire line went anime, I'd stop buying new figures immediately.

This would never happen.  8)

Me Grimlock?

Supposedly he's going to be the next Masterpiece....

AWESOME!  I'm a little miffed - I was hoping screamer would be my last masterpiece, but Grimlock is a must have.   :-\

That stealthy Iron Man looks pretty sweet, as does the red and gold armored one.  Not such a big fan of Iron Monger or quick change tony - looks too cartoony to me.

Okay - I'll eat the crow.  :(  I could go on and on about how many calls the Giants had in their favor, but what's done is done.  Congrats on the win and best of luck taking down the Patsies - I'll root for any team over them.

I will be eating steak and drinking a Sam Adams from my green and gold victory mug.   ;D

An odd way to celebrate a Giants win for sure, but whatever helps you cope!

Heehee!  k - game starts NOW!  Good luck to you sir!

I don't get the additional hold up.  First time was so far away that I think they made the right call, but people already know the lineup and have seen the figs - time to just get them out.  If anything, I think the figs could help build up demand for the game during the delay.

I gotta admit - this thing looks cooler than I was first expecting based on the teeny little picture available.  Its hard to tell depth, but does it look a little on the small side to anyone else?  Doesn't look as long as an AT-AT to me...

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30AC Pegwarmers?
« on: January 20, 2008, 04:20 PM »
I'm never dissapointed to see troopers lining the pegs.  The fact that you can probably find a stormtrooper, DS Trooper, or Biker Scout at every other store right now says that they've done a great job with assortments this last year.  I'd bet more troopers are bought than anything else out of these lines because everyone wants at least one and a lot of us get multiples.  I'd also bet that they could cook through any current stock of troopers in no time with an itial clearance markdown - not always the case on more of the character driven figs.

For pegwarmers around the twin cities, plan on seeing pretty much any Wave 4 or any Wave 6 figs outside of the McSnowtroopers.  :P

Hasbro has stated in past Q&A that the Clone Wars figures will be done in a style that is in keeping with the rest of the 3.75" figure line.

They are not looking to do "Animated Style" figures any time soon (according to the answer I remember reading).

The Animated Figures that sold at Target sold through but if I recall correctly, only because of deep clearancing from Target. Sure the Clones always sold and the WalMart 3-pack sets were barely in stock for the DVD releases, but I would say any speed of sell-through on anything done in the animated style was purely due to a lower manufacturing quantity on each item.

I think Hasbro acknowledges that the best bet for any action figure item is to keep it compatible with the 3.75" platform/system. They have tried other sizes and styles and they always ended up as failures.

I'm okay with an animated style, but would definitely prefer a more realistic look to the CW figs.  As for the CW Cartoon animated figs, these sold thru really really well from what I remember. The troopers were gone instantly, even the basic white ones.  I do think I saw 1-2 figs on clearance at some point, but literally just 1-2 of them, which is less than what we've seen with every other line of SW figure.

Give credit to Lucas for being a merchandising genius.  He made his fortune by securing the merchandising to Star Wars ages ago and the legacy continues on with all the cloneskittleshadowranktroopers coming out now.  ::)

I could take it or leave it.  Won't be bummed if it never comes our way.
