Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Oscar's anorexic looks

Bill, I can't think of particular names, people just looked too damn skinny.  I mean, it just looked to me like skin was hanging off bones.

Like Anton, I did spend a bit of time making fun of clothing and facial expressions, but the entire thing just bored me to death.

Did anyone watch this thing last night?

I'm not a big fan of Hollywood's I love me attitude and all their awards, but my wife was watching so I'd look up from what I was reading from time to time.  Is it just me, or did all the ladies presenting look like they were anorexic and unhealthy?  I mean, many of them looked like a skeleton with skin.  I think everyone enjoy's a thin woman, but come one, go at a hamburger.

LEGO / Need Lego Millenium Falcon help
« on: February 21, 2008, 12:35 PM »
I'm not sure what model I've got of the Millenium Falcon.  I think it's the one that came out in either '05 or '06.  I've got a a cockpit that fell off and I can't seem to get it back together.

Can anyone help me out either with the paper directions or hook me up with downloadable ones?  I've looked on the Lego website and can't seem to find the directions.

Okay, just watched the trailer for the first time...I'm stoked for this.  I can't wait to see this movie.

Okay, I have to admit to being a bit skeptical about this moving...until I saw the trailer.  I'm so stoked for the movie now. My only concern is that it's not full of "I'm old" jokes and doesn't act like a sequel.  But, because it's a Spielberg movie, I doubt that is the case.  I can't wait to see this.

Pretty cool stuff. Good luck on getting the molded legs Han. I have been trying to get one in a lot or something but no luck.

I posted in the new acquisitions, John A Graham hooked me up with one that he and I had both been looking at on fleabay.  He put in the bid and I didn't because the seller never responded to my questions...he found this out and sent the figure to me.  Great guy in my book.

The Han Solo you see there is on it's way to me as we speak.  Got a great price on it.  The one below was an auction I was keeping an eye on, but never got any word back from the seller about the feet and I wanted pics.  John A Graham over at RS posted that he had won it and I had mentioned that I had been eyeballing the piece but never put in a bid because the seller never contacted me.  He won it for a whopping $5...and guess what shows up at my house on Friday...that very figure.  So, no matter what issues many have with the powers that be at RS, many of the members are top notch in my book.

In addition to the two figures mentioned above, I've also got an unpainted micro bending/shooting Han from the Hoth set.  Lego Rob hooked me up with the piece.  Now I've got two unpainted Hans to go and I'll have a complete unpainted micro run of Han.  I think that's all I've got going on for now.  I've got a couple of other deals I'm working, but I've also got all my wife's medical bills from her DNC coming due, so the belt is having to be squeezed for a couple of months until that's handled.  That said, I've gotten a steal of deals the past two months from several RS members on stuff for my collection.

I've never been real concerned about how perfect the piece was.  I've always been more concerned with displayability.  I've never had any plans of picking something now and then upgrading later.  I don't mind cut POPs at all.  I've got a 32bk Hoth Han that has the POP cut out.

That said, there's a good chance that at some point I'll upgrade my 12bk.  You can see that the bubble has been taped down on two sides.

Very nice Han focus Chris, I really like the color variations on the Han Hoth legs. Is one of those a molded legs version?

Sadly no.  I've been trying to pick one up cheap and thought about one a week or two ago.  I decided not to bid because the seller didn't send me pictures.  John Graham ended getting it really cheap and has been rubbing it in that I didn't even bother to bid on it.  Eventually I'll get one.  That's one of my goals for the year.

Finally got pics of my focus together.  I'm still missing a total group shot with the IKEA cases and a couple of MOC figures that I just haven't bothered to upload.

Okay, here you go for the pic of the new baggie figures.  Eventually I'm going to get all my Han focus uploaded and linked so you guys can see what I've been assembling over the past few years.

I do enjoy their music, especially their earlier stuff.  However, I don't go out and buy/download all of their music.  Great thing about digital music is you can pick and choose what you want.  I've never seen them in concert, but do think it would be a pretty good one.

Glad to see that some of you guys I spar with in other sections enjoy the same music that I do.;)

Nothing can ever bring their child back.

So true...so true.

This was one of the top stories on the local news last night, because that is a "local" hospital for the Dallas-FtWorth area.

Well, day before yesterday a Han Hoth in a Kenner baggies showed up at the house.  Looks awesome.  I was planning to get one of each basic Han in a baggie for this year.  I was able to accomplish that this month. I got Han Hoth (arrived), original Han and Bespin Han in the past week.  Two of them in one transaction.  I've already got an Endor Han.  So I'm stoked about this.  I'll get some pics eventually of the ongoing focus, looks pretty good in my IKEA cases.
