Buck Rogers was AWESOME! I love Wilma!!!! :-*

A couple other live action show to includes…

Airwolf (the helicopter)

Streethawk (suped up motorcycle show & Knight Rider rip off)

On Sat mornings their was Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future

Funny that you mentioned Streethawk.  I was just running a search of it on Google when I flipped over here.  For some reason, the show AUTOMAN jumps into my mind as well.

From the sounds of this, it seems a bit like the Gulf War era movie "Three Kings."

I visit a site with a lot of SOF guys and they have commented a lot about the writer of the book this is based on and they tend to believe that a lot of the book was ****.  They seem to feel this guy had some kind of vendetta against the military when he wrote the book.

I can't comment personally about the book itself because I haven't read it...yet.  And I can't comment about accuracy because I wasn't in the military in '91 when the movie seems to be based around.  I know this is a bit off the topic of seeing the movie, but I may try to catch it if I can get the time.

Excuses.  I get so tired of people who have an excuse for everything they do or don't do.  What's even worse are other people I work with who don't come prepared and they have excuses out their butts about why they couldn't get something finished, or taken care of or prepared, or on and on and on.

I tell my kids "Excuses are monuments of nothingness."  I have that on a sign in my classroom and when I get some BS excuse, I point to the sign.  They usually don't give me any.

I understand that things happen from time to time, just don't keep giving me one, explain that you messed up, apologize, and fix the situation.  That's what I do.

I also get irritated with people's lack of common sense.  Ie. the evening news story:  A study released by so and so university today indicated that pregnant women have a tendancy to gain weight during pregnancy.

Duh!!!!!  Is the baby not supposed to weigh anything????

I've had an appendectomy.

I also have a "minor" tear of my right rotator cuff.  It only hurts if I don't warm up before throwing the ball or hitting the weights.  Otherwise, I'm okay.

No problem.  I'm all for playing UCLA.  IMO, they may not be as tough an opponent as USC.  Still, presuming we make the Rose Bowl, it will be a very tough game no matter who is playing.

Are you assuming Texas will get knocked off by someone? For you Cali guys, that would be an awesome matchup, but IMO that is one of the great problems with having the BSC standings and a computer that creates them.  It avoids having some of the great games we could potentially have through a playoff system.

I can say although it doesn't mean much at the moment, I'm thrilled to see Texas jump ahead of USC.

And another night with a blatanly bad call that turned the tide of the game.

I'm hoping this off season that MLB will do something about adding an instant replay.  Something like the NFL were another member of the umpiring crew can call down to the field on close calls.  That's at least twice that a blatant screw up has gone in favor of the Chi Sox.

I know the next pitch to Konerko could have been differnt, or whatever, but we still got a completely blown call.  I also don't think this time it's really anyone's fault other than the umpire.  Jermaine Dye even acted confused when he was awarded first.  Come on umps, get a clue!!!!  Don't make such an important call, late in the game, so quickly.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Gas Prices
« on: October 24, 2005, 06:55 AM »
We're finally dropping on the Northeast side of Dallas.  We are now around $2.50 a gallon.  I'd love to see it drop back to the early 90's price of $.80 a gallon.

Like the title says, I picked up two black clone pilots and would like to trade them for shocktroopers or 501st if anyone has seen them yet. Let me know if you can help a collector out.  I'd prefer the clones above, but will consider Red/Green clone commanders and Commander Bly.

UPDATE:  I also picked up a Commander Gree yesterday and am looking to trade him as well.
