During the school year, I'm wearing Wolverine lace up workboots.  When I'm working out, I'm in New Balance running shoes  Matter of fact, Force guy put up a picture of the ones I wear  However, doing weights 4 days a week and cardio 4-5 days, I'm just about in need of a new pair.  While playing softball, I'm in Nike 3/4 top baseball cleats.

1.  ESB
2.  ROTS
3.  ANH
4.  ROTJ
5.  AOTC
6.  TPM

I could change the last two because I did like them, but AOTC has a bit more of a story developing than TPM. I also thought about moving down ROTJ because for whatever reason, the ******* ewoks get on my nerves.

I finally got in today.  Thank god for teacher's "having the summer off".  I plan to go a few more times.

GL has redeemed my faith in SW and I put this one right up there with ESB as the best two of the saga.

I might as well jump in now, just having seen this thread.

I'm a Ranger season ticket holder, so go Rangers!!!

We're on a 6 game winning streak, with the ChiSox coming into town.  Although, they took 2 out of 3 in Chicago, we've got a good chance of laying it to them this weekend.  The Sox aren't getting any offense, and probably won't until Thomas is back.  Also, the Ranger bats are heating up.  Hidalgo has something like 4 homeruns in the past week.

I'm not sure yet if the pitching is strong enough to go toe to toe with Anaheim (sorry, the LA Angels of Anaheim), but we'll see.  If not, we may have to concentrate on a wild card birth and beat out Minnesota or whoever can get their act together in the AL east.

Congrats.  It's nice to find a deal on something you really want.

If I could only pick up (an easy one I know) a POTF carbo Han, then I'll finish a basic run on my Han collection and then I can go for cardback variations.

Assclowns...I know this sounds cold and along the line of the infamous Darwin Awards, but at least we may remove two more idiots from the gene pool.

I'm going to have to wait another week simply because I'm getting final exams together and trying to get them graded before I leave for the summer.  I would go this weekend, but my wife bought me half season tickets for the Texas Rangers and I've got two games!!

****tards who can't hang up and drive.  Damnit!!!  Is the call more important than you staying in your own ******* lane to avoid hitting my truck that dwarfs your little hot rod?

Power of the Jedi / Re: favorite POTJ figure
« on: May 13, 2005, 03:27 PM »
As a Han Solo (modern and vintage) collector, I've gotta go with the Bespin Han.  The articulation wasn't the best, but like some have said, light years ahead of the POTF2 line and much of the POTJ line.  I loved the holster and the accurate sized Han.  I always wondered why the figures never had holsters that worked and was thrilled to see this one.  I liked the figure so much I bought three of them, one to customize, one to open and "play" with (you all know you do it!!), and one to keep with my carded collection.

Does the "good luck" apply to us public school teachers still trying to maintain a little discipline with our adolescent kids?  If so, thanks, only 13 days for me until summer break. ;D

I'll get back into the school thing this fall when I start working on my masters degree.  Whoopeee!!!

I used to have about 15 and then sold almost all of them in a big lot a year ago or so.  Now I've got one or two and a couple of snowtroopers.

I went to a store nearby and they had a bunch of stormies I was intersted in buying but the guy wanted $20 each for them...they were in good shape though, but I told him no way.

Newbies / Hello all!!!
« on: May 4, 2005, 08:33 AM »
Hello all, nice to see another friendly SW site out here.  I've read through the boards over here from time to time but hadn't registered until the past month or so.

FWIW, I tend to enjoy the smaller SW fan sites because they have a more friendly, down home kind of feel to them.  I've recognized a number of names here from over at RS and a couple from the place where I mod at.

I'm a Han collector, vintage and modern.  I also build custom ships, but only when I'm not swamped with having to grade papers, or do the ongoing teacher responsibilities.  I've taked a bit of a hiatus lately because my wife and I are working on the down payment for a house...so I can contain my overgrown collection of little plastic men.
