SO far they have confirmed a 2nd Empire Wave for 2009 and it will contain the greatest figure in the history of the line:
So, here's my hope for the rest:
Willrow Hood
Bespin Guard (Running ethnic change)
Zuckuss Resculpt
Hoth Soldier (Either Echo Base or the Battle of Hoth, whichever doesn't show up in Wave 6)
Luke Skywalker (Hoth)
Princess Leia (Hoth)
BAD: E-3PO
-
Here's what I'd like to see:
___ BD# TBD - Willrow Hood
___ BD# TBD - Torryn Farr
___ BD# TBD - Bespin Guard
___ BD# TBD - Zuckuss
___ BD# TBD - Han Solo in Carbonite (NEW)
___ BD# TBD - Luke Skywalker - Snowspeeder pilot
___ BAF - E-3PO
-
Well, can't wait to get the Ice Man in this wave! Thanks to Scott!
Willrow Hood
Torryn Farr
R3-A2
Zuckuss
Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder pilot)
Captain Piett
BAD - E-3PO
-
I'd be pretty happy with the "generously proportioned" ICMG and the following:
Zuckuss (new, SA)
Princess Leia Organa - Hoth (new, SA)
Luke Skywalker - Hoth (new, SA)
Wiorkettle
Treva Horme
(http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/e/e2/Treva-horme.jpg)
-
I would take Luke or Wedge as a snowspeeder pilot.
-
Definitely Wedge as snowspeeder pilot, and I second the nod for Echo base troopers if we get the Hoth rebel troopers in the first wave.
-
I'm really glad that we're seeing some extra OT goodness next year with a second ESB wave. Since we know that Bespin Han isn't coming until 2010 at the soonest, this is what my list would look like (pretty much the same as everyone else):
Luke Skywalker (Hoth)
Princess Leia Organa (Hoth)
Zuckuss
Willrow Hood
Bespin Guard (running change)
Wedge Antilles (Snowspeeder Pilot)
BAD: E-3PO
I also like the idea of the "other" Hoth Rebel Soldier. The rebel troops could definitely use some bolstering, and hopefully we'll see that next year (and beyond).
-
First ESB wave:
Second ESB wave:
Give us a couple variations like they did with the Endor troops, and I'll swoon.

Perfect. ;D

Now this could be used for a 'caption this' contest.
-
Me first! "Don't worry- Lucas is gonna add CGI soldiers to the background to make our army bigger!"
-
Looks like a new Snowpeeder Pilot Luke (http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/content/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4318/#details) has been confirmed for this second ESB wave...
-
Probably a simple head swap with the Evo Snowspeeder Pilot bodies. Hopefully he'll include a harpoon gun and proper lightsaber(s).
-
The grappling hook would be such a cool addition to Snowspeeder Luke. IIRC, there was a grappling hook in one of the vintage accessory packs that came out around TESB.

Yep, I just ran down at looked and the one I have - still sealed in the Kenner baggy. 8)
-
I'll take the new Snowspeeder Luke. Any chance to improve their Snowspeeder pilot sculpt.
-
I was disappointed to see in the same response that confirmed the Snowspeeder Luke that a new Han in carbonite isn't in the works. Drat!
-
1. Luke (ssp)
2. Zuckess
3. Willard Hood
4. Bespin Guard (vintage)
5. Toryn Farr
6. ugnaught (2nd out two paK)
-
Revising this....
___ BD# TBD - Willrow Hood
___ BD# TBD - Torryn Farr
___ BD# TBD - Bespin Guard
___ BD# TBD - Zuckuss
___ BD# TBD - C-3PO - Cloud City (damaged/reassemble w/ cargo net & crate)
___ BD# TBD - Luke Skywalker - Snowspeeder pilot
___ BAF - E-3PO
-
Now that is awesome assortment Nicklab!!!!
-
I'd gladly take Stan's or Nicklab's list... but I'd love to have Torryn Farr come with the ion cannon control.
-
I'll take the new Snowspeeder Luke. Any chance to improve their Snowspeeder pilot sculpt.
That's why I bought the titanium Luke last year - it was a dramatic improvement over the regular line. It is fixed in position, but it is a nice looking figure. $4, why not.
-
All these wishlists and guesses about what this wave's gonna consist of. I haven't the foggiest.
Alls I know is, I'd suck Derryl DePriest's schlong off right this minute if it meant I could get a pre-Toy Fair looksee at the Willrow figure.
(I know you're reading, Derryl--just shoot me an e-mail.)

I picked that up as well when I had the chance. Very nice piece.
-
I hope the prototype of captain Needa will get an excellent paint job, not to mention the common wish of seeing the Luke and Leia from medical frigate.
Why not a snowspeeder Luke? but taking in mind all the updates in evolution pilots, this time the shin guards, the details of badges and gloves will be a must for this toy.
-
Hmmm
Luke snowspeeder pilot
Willrow hood
Zuckuss
Toryn far
McQuarrie concept emperor
Urtis M'toc
-
Here's my wishlist...
1. Willrow Hood (woohoooo!)
2. Snowspeeder Luke
3. Zuckuss (we seriously need this)
4. Han with blue jacket (the POTJ one sticks out like a sore thumb)
5. Leia (Hoth)
6. Torryn Farr
Wait...is this the wave with the Hoth trooper and Medical Frigate figures, or is this a later wave?
-
Later Wave... That Wave is Wave 6 IIRC (Wave 5, ANH, is just now shipping so the ESB wave should be next and this ESB wave is due late in the year).
-
I´m thinking Hasbro could release a bespin wave all with freeze chamber bases (interconectable like dagobah otc bases) with the deco of orange lights.
This wave should include
1 Willow Hood
2 Alien Bespin Guard
3 Afro american Bespin Guard
4 Bespin Luke, vtsc repack
5 Bespin Human technician (With ughnaught apron)
Note: This bespin Human Technician appeared when Leia was walking across a corridor the small ughnaught guys were beyond here, and with them was walking the human technician, who could be refered as "human ughnaught" (for his uniform)
-
His name is Lee Phenets
(http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/thumb/5/5b/Lee-phenets.jpg/250px-Lee-phenets.jpg)
-
Wow. You guys really do want EVERY person that had .5 seconds of screentime. ;)
-

I've seen that guy at the library.
-
He just seems like a person who may like Ugnaughts a bit too much.
-
There is a new rumor list (http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Star_Wars_Rumors_Basic_Figures_122435.asp) over at RS, which lists a possible lineup for this wave:
Luke Skywalker - Snowspeeder Pilot
Willrow Hood
Zuckuss
Bespin Security Guard (3 Headsculpts)
2-1B
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Spirit)
Wedge Antilles - Snowspeeder Pilot
Lt. Sheckil
It will be interesting to see if this lineup holds true. We've seen some of these rumors before (and confirmations, such as the Luke and Willrow), so its at least partially true. Zuckuss has been strongly hinted at, as well as a new Wedge - and I'd really like either of those figures. Obi-Wan spirit is interesting since we just got one in the OTC line, although they could either be going the repack or using the newer "ultimate" sculpt. We also just recently got the smallish 2-1B from ROTS, so hopefully this is a new, a little taller version.

I doubt this are going to be true, both Wedge and Luke Snowspeeder pilots in the same wave (it would be awesome) I believe this wave will be six figures not 8 because ESB is almost finish completely you count the figs and resculpts left to do with your hand and Hasbro knows this. I believe Sheckil and Wedge won't be in this wave (maybe in 2010 with Hoth Leia ?) and 2-1B would be an straight repack like Jango in the AOTC wave
I think the wave would be
Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Pilot) - Comfirm
Willrow Hood - Comfirm
Zuckuss - an figure that has been waiting
Bespin Security Guard (2 Headsculpts) - running change like the Hoth Soldier
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Spirit) - I see this happening with the TLC Wave 4 Obi-Wan
Toryn Farr - been on the rumor list forever
repacks
Bespin Luke (VTSC)
Lando (VOTC)
Yoda
2-1B (POTF2) - this is still a great figure
-
I like the list. Lets hope it turns out.
-
I don't really think Hasbro can release a Wedge figure single carded at retail. That is against their religion.
-
If this lineup holds true, I'm wondering (hoping) that maybe the presence of both Luke and Wedge snowspeeder pilot figures might lead to an all new Snowspeeder on the way next year sometime. If I remember right this is basically the last wave of 2009, maybe slid into 2010, which would coincide with Empire's 30th Anniversary. Great time to release an all-new Snowspeeder for these pilot figures. I can hope, anyways. Pretty nice wave overall.
-
From over a year ago:
The Snowspeeder has only been an exclusive item in the past two releases for it where prior releases were regular mass-retail. Why the exclusivity and accompanying higher pricepoint on this vehicle? If it's due to its somewhat large size compared to other vehicles, could it be scaled down to accurate proportions (since it is actually a little over scale as-is) and released in the $20 line? (SSG, 02/01/08)
Because of the size and greater cost, it has not been possible to get the existing Snowspeeder into the $20 vehicle pricepoint. You and your readers have been instrumental in the past in championing for a "true to scale" version and for this reason we have held off at using it in more exclusives. We have heard you....and are looking at ways to bring a new one to market within the next couple of years. Stay tuned!
-
I can see Luke & Wedge getting released as running changes like the Space Pigs & Hoth Toopers. If there are going to have variant Bespin Guards it would make for a more interesting revision case while maximizing tooling stretching the assortment. I am happy when any OTC wave gets released, pegwarmers and all.
-
More on the possibility of a new snowspeeder (http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/content/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4111)
A. We are working on a new Snowspeeder, but it's taking longer than we hoped to fit it into the line. It would not be in 2009 in any case, and we agree with you that it would be a good basic vehicle for the $19.99 lineup if we can get the beastie to cost out.

If it's an upgrade over the current one I have a real hard time believing that it will ever cost $19.99.
-
An upgrade will be smaller won't it? As long as it can fit in a mid-Sized vehicle, I think they can swing the mid-sized cost.
-
If it's being made to-scale, yes. The current Snowspeeder is significantly larger than the actual thing should be to be accurate to the action figures. It's a very tiny vehicle really.
-
Sounds like Zuckuss is all but confirmed...
Via Q&A (http://www.toymania.com/news/messages/11186.shtml)
-
So is the new sculpt of Luke Snowsppeder pilot. (http://www.theprivateuniverse.co.uk/cgi-bin/showarticle.pl?section=news&articleid=4183) Missing from that pilot list is the Wedge Snowspeeder pilot though.
-
Darth Anton , Were are not getting the Wedge this year. The Lt Sheckil figure was a mistake, the hard copy I saw was Colton.
-
How about Toryn Farr stan?
-
From what I haven been told, there some type of battle pak that she is included in with a brand new sculpted taun taun. Don't know if it is this year or next though!!!
-
Man, I hope that is true. I've really been hoping for a redone Taun Taun for some time now, and it would be great to see one late this year or early next year. If all these rumors (redone Snowspeeder, redone Taun Taun, etc.) turn out to be true, I'll be very happy. Now we just need the "ultimate" versions of Bespin Han and Hoth Luke and Leia to go along with all of this :).
-

Where are you getting all this? (if you told me would you have to kill me?)
-
I wish I could but it would probly cost me and family my job. I post alot on Rebelscum, when I get info it usually take about 18 to 24 months for it to come to. Sometimes products get dropped. If you like to know more check out the Rebelscum rumors thread.

No problem. Just curious. Thanks for the info!
Looking forward to the new Tauntaun if it does end up happening! :o
-
Like so many, I made my own Snowspeeder Luke, but I'll be looking forward to an official production version. Hope he is sculpted bulky enough.

another bump... sneak peek at Bespin Guards and Zuckuss
-
I'm digging the Bespin Wing Guards Edian (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Edian) and Utris M'Toc (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Utris_M'Toc). I'm guessing they'll be distributed like the Ugnaughts and Hoth Troopers.
-
Wasn't too sure what this guy was, but I thought it was too cool not to post.

This figure is uber sweet!
-
I read that was a Joe Johnston concept Snowtrooper... must be the concept figure planned for the ESB wave.
-
The Bespin Guards look cool, but Zuckuss totally takes the cake! It's great to see that 4-LOM gets his partner at long last.
-
I think the one Bespin Guard may actually be Utris M'toc. Gonna see if I can get by the Hasbro exhibit in a few minutes to confirm.
-
I was hoping for Han Bespin even though they said later for him......still have my fingers crossed.......
-
Is that E.T. behind the v2 Ugnaught?
-
Is that E.T. behind the v2 Ugnaught?
That is an Utai
-
The AT-AT Driver is a nice surprise, even if it is a bit soon. Zuckuss is probably my favorite, but I think I'll purchase the whole wave.
-
What's going on with this wave? I count 7/8 figures where there should only be 6... ???
Is that AT-AT Driver and/or R2-X2 actually "new" or are they just repacks to expand the wave a little bit? Makes sense to get the AT-AT Driver out again if there does end up being a BMF AT-AT in the future...
-

I was wondering that as well. Seems like there is a couple too many there. Overall though, a really nice wave. Willrow, obviously, is the bright spot - but I really like the Snowspeeder Luke, the new Zuckuss, and the Bespin Guards as well. Plus, that new concept figure is pretty cool looking too. I'm trying to see if that is the same TSC AT-AT Driver, or if it is a little different (ball elbows?).

I was a bit miffed at that one myself. That new At-AT driver looks like he has ball jointed-elbows. An the helmet looks a little different to me. Something about the eyes is different. The cables going form the chest box to the helmet also look different. These ones seem to have less slack that the TSC version. It looks to me that it is at least partially new. Hopefully that has something to do with a new AT-AT in the near future. :)
-
Of all the figures shown, the AT-AT is the biggest waste of a spot IMO (besides almost the entire ROTS wave). Because I agree, it looks new and the Saga one is awesome and didn't need a redo like perhaps other ESB figures do (Hoth Leia and Bespin Han) If you only have so much tooling dollars, that was a waste of cash
-
Yeah, that was a surprising one. I also thought it looked like it was new, or at least new-ish, with ball jointed elbows, etc. While it is an improvement, like Scott mentioned the TSC was already very well done - and I think "good enough" by most people's standards. I would have rather seen someone else (particularly Bespin Han, although we knew he wasn't coming) included in this wave. That said, I'm sure I'll pick several of these up since I only got two of the original version (and they haven't seen fit to re-release it).
-
Is that AT-AT Driver and/or R2-X2 actually "new" or are they just repacks to expand the wave a little bit?
Looking at the AT-AT driver, I think it has a removable helmet.
It just has that feel to it.
-

You guys could be right... my first instinct looking at it was it was a repaint, but the more I look at it, the more I can "see" what you guys are saying - new elbows, helmet, etc.
-
Closer Look at the Bespin Guards (http://www.flickr.com/photos/starwarsblog/3747810560/sizes/o/in/set-72157621782078894/).
I'm still surprised that they actually planned two variants... it sounded like they wanted to get away from that sort of thing with the "downturn" in Legacy buying and whatnot.
-
I think it's kind of lame that the build a droid is R2-X2 who already has a nice figure from the EE pack that did not need upgrading at all.
On a positive note I am loving that Snowtrooper!
-

I don't follow. Wouldn't variants like this be super cost effective at a time when sales are down? Two figures for the production cost of a little more than one?
-
it's kind of lame that the build a droid is R2-X2
No, it's even worse - R2-X2 isn't a build-a-droid, he's a basic carded figure. :P
The BAD for this wave is the HK-50 droid.
Wouldn't variants like this be super cost effective at a time when sales are down?
It wasn't about cost-effectiveness so much as it was about scheduling and timing. This was their Q&A answer (http://www.jedidefender.com/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1241248621,47790,) when Jesse asked them about it in April/May:
Multiple headsculpts are a great way to make the maskless troopers have some variety, as evidenced by the upcoming Hoth Rebel Soldier... Is this something Hasbro will make more "standard" with army builders such as Rebels, Bespin Guards, Naboo military, and other non-clone type soldiers? It's a great feature and definite encouragement for army building.
We like to see variety, but we probably will be doing fewer of the "running change" type figures since it causes extraordinary difficulties in our system. More likely we will look to do head sculpt changes and release alternate versions in some other way, either as candidates for "repaint waves" (should we ever need those again), or Battle Packs.
-

CRAP! Your right, I misread that one. I would have preferred they make one up. He was not even in this movie. They should have made the Hoth Orange Droid from the old TRU pack who was at Echo Base.
-
Nice deer in the headlights expression on the Klingon Bespin Guard's face. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/starwarsblog/3747810560/sizes/o/in/set-72157621782078894/) :P

I thought I saw a pic of R3-A2 in there.... :-\
Edit: I found it! (http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/news/images2009b/images.php?image=119)
So... should he be the BAD for the Empire wave?
-
I wonder if Zuckuss is missing a cloth lower half, becuase his legs are exposed...
-
I am happy we are getting 3 Bespin Guard variants, especially the vintage black guard. They look good IMO. I finally see where they got the winter design for Captain Rex in that Clone Wars episode from last year. At first I thought the concept figure was for that Rex. Yeah, I am looking forward to most of the wave. Finally a Snowspeeder Luke!
-

Cool, I won't have to try and get another set of the AOTC wave to customize one from HK-47!
-
I really wish more people were publicly giving credit to Scott, where it's due. I've seen some images, and they're worded "the figure you thought would never happen", and such. Well... a nod to the guy that ultimately got it made would be nice. :-X
Just my opinion.
I'm geeked to see the Bespin Guards including an alien (very cool). Is it 3 headsculpts? I missed the facts on this one.
I love Snowspeeder Luke, but his "hook" was a magnet thing, so that accessory looks suspect. Not a huge issue though to me, just something I noticed.
Concept IG-88 is freakishly cool to me.
Concept Snowtrooper is slightly disappointing. Why not a concept Hoth Rebel to go with the Snowtrooper we already have? It's cool looking, but I just wish we'd gotten the rebel, which would've been a nice match.
Zuckuss... Outstanding and much needed.
Droids... i don't get what we're actually getting here, haha. R2-X2 we already have though, no?
-
I"m digging this whole wave! Though I'm going to want 3 of the BaD HK-50s...
I'm definitely getting a few Bespin guards, and concept Snowtroopers.
mostly solid wave, IMO
-

Agreed. I will say that I was reading through a wrap-up at JTA today, and they mentioned both JD and Scott by name in their recap of this wave - which was nice to see.
-
Impressive wave. I'm impressed with every figure except for the astromech.
-
I was just looking over the Hasbro Poster and the Powerpoint slides and it appears R2-X2 is a very dark green and not a straight black repack of the EE one. While this is not groundbreaking news I found it to be somewhat good news having to buy this figure again to complete the BAD. He is different enough to make it OK.....in my mind.
Just thought I share.
-
Am I dumb for thinking the Luke is the best looking thing in this wave?
-
Am I dumb for thinking the Luke is the best looking thing in this wave?
No, he is pretty fantastic looking.
-

Absolutely not. I think it's the best figure in the TESB wave.
-
Am I dumb for thinking the Luke is the best looking thing in this wave?
No....not for that! :P
Sorry...I just couldn't resist that one!
The Luke is a great looking figure! Definitely getting one for my snowspeeder!
-
I was disappointed to see in the same response that confirmed the Snowspeeder Luke that a new Han in carbonite isn't in the works. Drat!
It'd be nice if a Carbonite Han could be included with a better Leia as Boussh. The 2006 TSC version was way too tiny, but it was okay....
The Snowspeeder Luke is indeed very impressive. And was he wearing the skull cap in the ESB? Was it featured on the Snowspeeder Luke from the 2007 Ultimate Battle Pack?
-
Nope, no cap on the Luke from the UBP and he did wear one in ESB, but you never saw him with the helmet off.
-
ESB was on lastnight on Spike. When Luke gets into the speeder with Dak he isn't wearing the skull cap and he puts the helmet right on as he's taking off. He doesn't take his helmet off until he lands on Dagobah. So it might be on under the helmet, but like Anton said, you never see just the skull cap.

So it might be on under the helmet, but like Anton said, you never see just the skull cap.
Yeah, it's just a case of different filming times and editing. He has it on when he's in the Snowspeeder; see here:
-
Holy ****balls, nice eye to catch that! I never knew he wore the cap.
I am very stoked about that figure. All We need is a new Dak, Snowspeeder and AT-AT!
-
I see GH (http://www.galactichunter.com/absolutenm/templates/full_article_template_1.asp?articleid=8253&zoneid=2) has some hi-res images up of this wave. This has to be one of my favorites of the year.
-
This wave is great but I wish they painted Willrow's belt. I love the photo of him, did they use Little Richard as the base?
This wave is great, I am really diggin that Snowtrooper!
-
I'm not a wild fan of the Snowtrooper actually. I much rather would've gotten a McQuarrie Hoth Rebel as their uniforms are quite cool, and the Snowtrooper has no counterpart like the Stormtrooper does. My concept shelf feels lopsided. :D
-
Yeah, since we already got a concept Snowtrooper last time, another one this year seems odd. I guess I would have preferred a concept Hoth Rebel or concept Lando instead too JJ.
He does look like a cool figure, just not one I really needed/wanted I guess.
-
I like the new one much better than the TAC one. I never liked that figure, this one is cool enough to army build with. One figure that did not need an update was the AT-AT driver. I was quite content with the Saga one and thought they nailed that figure. I would have rather seen an updated Dagobah Vader with a removable Luke face or a third Bespin Foo-Man-Chho Guard that this dude.
-
Couldn't agree more on all counts Jack.
-
The evolution presented in esb Luke snowspeeder give me hope about new releases, like a Luke without skullcap and the actual look of the character. In other wave, they could launch the Dagobah X Wing Pilot Luke Skywalker (Attakus made an accurate prototype in the metal figurines diorama of Dagobah) :)
-
One figure that did not need an update was the AT-AT driver. I was quite content with the Saga one and thought they nailed that figure.
THIS. The new AT-AT driver might be super articulated but he looks way too skinny. And don't even get me started on the removable helmet...
Actually, looking over this wave I might just pick up Luke, Willrow and Zuckuss and save some serious cash.
-
THIS. The new AT-AT driver might be super articulated but he looks way too skinny. And don't even get me started on the removable helmet...
That waist still doesn't look articulated to me, just like the last version.
-
I think I like this Snowtrooper's helmet design a lot more than the last version, but I'm gonna have to wait and see what's under that dress (which I think is the only thing that really makes this guy look stupid) before I decide whether I'm buying this or not.
The only figures in this wave I can't live without are ICMG (of course! - and he looks gorgeous BTW), Zuckuss, and the Bespin Guards. I think this year's ANH and ROTJ waves are WAAAAY more exciting.
-
but I'm gonna have to wait and see what's under that dress before I decide whether I'm buying this or not.
As is the case for most things, of course.
-
We got a couple prototype (Test Shot) images of upcoming figures, and one was the alien Bespin Guard form the upcoming wave here. I thought I'd share as it highlights the articulation and sculpt details to see the figure without paint sometimes. I dig the baton WITH a sheath. That's slick. :)

I am glad this figure has a basic flesh tone for easy head swapping. I will definitely be buying more of this version. This dude is so Star Trek looking.
-
I'm pretty excited for this wave myself. The new Bespin Guards look great, but I don't feel like I need to retire the old one. I'll probably grab about 2-3 of each variant. Then of course there is Mr Hood. I'll buy a few of him if I can find him. I needed a few more AT-AT Drivers, though I would have rather they sculpted something else new, rather than update a figure that is only 2 years old and didn't really need to be redone... They could have just repacked the 2007 AT-AT driver instead of that astromech, and used the tooling dollars to make some other Empire figure, like Toryn Farr or Bespin Han. I get more and more excited for the Luke every time I see him.
I'm really excited for the new Zuckuss too. He'll make a great addition to the Bounty Hunters. It kind of makes you wonder if they are planning on updating Dengar is SA format? Hasbro came out with the SAGA Bossk in 2004 only to completely redo him 2-3 years later. Now Dengar is the only one of the ESB Bounty Hunters that isn;t SA.
-
Alright, I am partially excited by this one.
If it was a true to the Vintage update I would be thrilled. It was one of my all time favorite Vintage Figures, so this particular one another one of those figures that I will want to army build a little.
I am going to try to get the first one of these that pops up on ebay that I can find (despite the pricy cost) just so I can get somebody to cast me a properly sculpted head with a Fu-man-chu moustache.
-
Then of course there is Mr Hood. I'll buy a few of him if I can find him.
I know there's a bunch of people around here who are all excited, and I'm glad, it's good to see. But let's be realistic, he has pegwarmer written all over him.
I highly doubt many people want multiples of this like it's a Hoth Rebel or a Bespin Guard or something.
-
Ah, good wave ;D but The Legacy Collection has gotten a 'lil too collector-oriented. Maybe that's why Legacy sales are dropping ??? I'd most DEFINITELY like to see more exciting characters, though. This wave itself is pretty cool...
-

With all of the Kid focus I am glad that it is more collector oriented but yes, it does effect sales but I think Hasbro will start to balance more in 2010. Right now I will soak it up.
I plan on getting 6 of the Bespins guards and will retire the POTJ one. I also share the sentiment baout that there was no need to update the AT-AT driver. Update the AT-AT instead or better yet include the f@3king beardless HRT in this wave in sets of the astromech that no one would have missed.
-
I know we have some Canadian members here so I thought this would be as good a place as any to ask. I'm looking to pick up a couple of the upcomming AT-AT Driver figures on Canadian TLC packaging. If anyone can help me out I'm up for buying or trading.
E...
-
You might be asking the impossible. Word on the street is that Hasbro Canada has dumped the Legacy line (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=19728.0) and won't be carrying any of the 2009 figures.
-
Nothing is impossible, oh yeah Hasbro Canada... sorry man, unless a miracle happens were screwed. :-\
-
Holy ****balls that sucks! That's not a good sign at all. This should be a Q&A question to get confirmation if this is indeed true or just certain retailers not carrying the "mainline". To my friend sup North I buy by the case often time duplicates of cases I have extras and sell them at cost plus shipping. Keep an eye on my trade/sale list, I will try to help where I can.
-
We got some proto images in, and a couple Empire Strikes Back wave figures were included in them. Check out the Bespin Guard (not sure if this is the same human sculpt or not, but I believe it is at this point), and the new Zuckuss who looks quite badass.

Very nice figures, both of them.

Is Zuckuss smoking a pipe? ???
WTF is that huge thing hanging off his face?
I don't recall that on my vintage version.
-
It's a respirator. It's not on the vintage one, but it's on the previous modern release.

Yep, it was on the POTF2 Freeze Frame figure. (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/ActionFigures/potf2/freezeframe/zuckuss/head.html)

Thanks guys, good to know.
I swear I have a 12" version of this guy somewhere and he doesn't have the respirator either. Great piece though.

According to my alien species guide, which I just happen to be reading on the toilet this morning (the Gand entry), it's an apparatus that helps the Gand breathe ammonia. Gand's atmosphere is thick with ammonia, and when a resident travels off planet, he wears the apparatus to give him ammonia to breathe. Gands actually refuse to be studied, but it is thought that there are some separate species among the Gand that don't need to breathe ammonia. In those cases however they still wear the apparatus to maintain anonymity when off-world.
There you be.

Some points...
-Wilrow Hood... He looks INSANELY cool. What a nice treatment this figure got, for being very much down there on the depth chart. :) It's great seeing his loose figure all ready to go.
-Snowspeeder Luke... This looks like maybe the single best Luke figure ever IMO. The likeness is incredible. I think the height is right, but it's tough to tell if they did re-use the XW Luke figure at all there. It may be a totally new sculpt save for perhaps the helmet. That's tough to tell though.
-Concept Snowtrooper... Color me actually a little down on this one. I'd have preferred a Concept Hoth Rebel to match the first Snowtrooper. I didn't care for these designs really, so I can't say that one's exciting me.
-R2-X2... Meh. I'm kind of curious who is repacked in this wave with the same part, as I may avoid this one.
-AT-AT Driver... nobody's mentioned this, but I believe he's sporting some very 70's-ish sideburns. I believe that's a new clone headsculpt and I like the attempt at "OT'ing" him a little with seemingly longer sideburns.
-Zuckuss... Very cool. I would personally have enjoyed seeing a figure with a removable coat and pack and stuff, ala the vintage figure, but this is nice too and I'm pretty happy.
-Bespin Guard... A nice sculpt overall, glad to get him, but I'd still like to see the Asian vintage variation, and an updated white guy as well.
-BAD HK-50... No clue if he's from KOTOR2 or what. I like HK-47 so I'm ok with a variant of the same droid. Not the most exciting, but likable.
-
I think this wave looks pretty amazing too, and I'm really looking forward to it. It is still so neat seeing Willrow actually in plastic, and it is going to be great when this wave hits. I agree about the Luke, I think it is one of the figures I'm looking forward to the most this year. Zuckuss is a nice upgrade to the bounty hunter lineup (and one I've personally been looking forward to as well). The whole wave looks pretty nice to me. I will say though, it still doesn't look quite right to me when these OT troops have those clone heads under the helmets. Don't get me wrong, I understand you can just "leave the helmet on if you don't like it", and the removable helmet is a nice feature and all - but it just looks strange to me each time I see it. Not saying I don't like removable helmets and all that, it is just something that sticks out to me every time.
-
I like the looks of these too. The Luke figure is fantastic and much better than the one that came with that large Battle of Hoth set from Target a couple years back. Willrow Hood is, well, Willrow Hood. Quite amazing to see you guys got your obscure figure made and great to have a basic civillian figure as well.
-
Luke's face sculpt has got to be the best they've every done. Any guesses as to whether his hood/cap comes off?
-

It's funny you point that out Jesse. I looked at the front page pics then jumped to the thread. I thought the same thing when I looked at him at first about how 70's he looked and I really like that touch. If that was the intent they succeeded in my opinion and it elevated my excitement for him.
I actually like this MQSnowie so much better that the TAC. I really hate the top heavy TAC one. (So much as I write this I think I will ditch him.)
After seeing these pics I am very glad I ordered two cases of this wave.
-
That clone also looks "older" to me. More like Jango and less like a youthful clone.
On Luke's cap, I don't think that's removable. If it is, kudos to whoever designed such a tight fit for the sculpt.
-
It would never occur to me that the cap would be removable. It's probably just highly detailed.
-
Does Snowspeeder Luke come with a complete lightsaber or only the hilt?
We saw in the adds only the hilt without the blade.
-

My guess is that the final figure will, but if not, you could always give him the one from the Medical Frigate Luke (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/html/TLC/basicfigures/38.html) as he "technically" doesn't need it. :P
-
...and, Jay, is it the correct hilt?

No. The one that has been pictured is the Anakin EII lightsaber sculpt. ::) :P

I kind of figured. Had to get you riled up! :-*
-
A bunch of silliness ::) how almost every Luke and Anakin these days include a repainted Darth Vader hilt. It's plain ridiculous! Almost every re-release of the 2005 Evo. Ep.II Anakin includes the same silver Vader hilt (2009 Ep.II Anakin, 2009 red-packaging Ep.II Anakin). I'd actually like to see it released with his real lightsaber!
-
So I sat down last night and watched a re-run of "Empire" on Spike TV, partly to relax, but also to catch the 2-3 seconds you see Willrow Hood running by with his ice cream maker :P
That has to be one of the most obscure movie characters ever made into an action figure 8)

Looks like no ignited lightsaber for Snowspeeder/Hoth Gear Luke (http://www.galactichunter.com/absoluteig/gallery.asp?categoryid=6186) :-\
-
Eh, not the end of the world. Like others have joked, it probably would have just been the wrong saber anyway. :P
If he needs one, I'll just take one from any of the other Lukes that came with one and didn't need it - X-Wing Luke, Medical Frigate Luke, etc etc.
-

Yeah, we've gotten enough extras from other figures that we can use with it, but it does seem silly to not include it. I mean, he actually did use a saber in this version of the character. Sometimes Hasbro doesn't make sense like that though ::). Aside from that, I'm really looking forward to this figure for some reason. Just looks spiffy to me.
-
You could actually use the saber from medical frigate Luke ... he doesn't need it, since he lost it with his hand courtesy of Dad Vader. :(
-
I've got enough lightsabers anyway.
-
Hey guys let´s talk about TLC Zuckuss, looks very nice and decent sculpt, but Do you mind he´s a head smaller than the potf2 version?
It seems Hasbro looks for more detail in a smaller scale.
-
Hey guys let´s talk about TLC Zuckuss, looks very nice and decent sculpt, but Do you mind he´s a head smaller than the potf2 version?
I don't. Nor did I mind the LC Slave Leia being a head and a half shorter than the POTF2 sculpt (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/ActionFigures/TLC/LC_BD17/lf29.html) ;)
-
I don't mind his height. I'm more interested in how he compares to the other bounty hunters since that's who he's stacked against in the movies. I think he may be a hair tall now, but I'm ok with it. I like the figure.
I actually am more disappointed he doesn't have a fully removable coat ala the vintage figure. Call me crazy but I liked that about the original and think it would've added to this one.
-

I honestly don't care if he's too tall - I just like the figure! ;D
-
I got the Bespin Guard in the mail today...
Some thoughts right off the bat are that the headsculpt's incredibly generic looking. That's pretty cool, and I'm going to see how well it pops onto a pilot body here in a second... hold on.
His head does NOT fit the new X-Wing body or the A-Wing body. That sorta bites. It's the right sculpt but just too large to fit the neck ball on those two. He also just barely doesn't fit the Hoth Rebel. That sucks. :(
His sculpt is tall... He's one of those figures that you may be annoyed at the noticeable height difference he has with other figures. I have him next to the Scanner Tech and he's almost a full head over the techie, HRT, the pilots, and so forth.
His hat doesn't fit, not snug anyway like the POTJ figure's hat does, and so it sits high on the head for some reason.
I love the removable holsters for his blaster and his baton. Very slick, and both pop off the figure's hips.
The pistol has a very nice paintjob and sculpt. Very nice overall.
The sculpt of the figure itself is very detailed. Lots of wrinkles, lots of creases and folds. Very good paint aps for the gold trim as well, and the red cuffs and white collar of the shirt underneath. This figure doesn't make your POTJ Guards obsolete by any means, but this is a by far superior figure in almost every way but maybe sculpt and deco...
I'd like to see the vintage guy with the mustache who I believe is Asian, and a generic white guy even if it's just a repaint of the existing figure. Beyond that, I think I'd be quite content with Bespin Guards. I have a lot of the POTJ figure and will mix them in as well.
-

I use the toilet paper solution for that. Stuff a small wad in the neck hole and it usually holds.
-
Or hot glue. I think a customizer had a tutorial for it.
I really like this figure too, I got one in the mail too.
The HAT not fitting is the most annoying part, especially since the inside of the hat is sculpted to fit on the figures "part" in his hair.
I disagree with JJ on the fact that it to me it DOES make my POTJ Bespin Guards obsolete. The superior sculpt and articulation pretty much dwarf all that the POTJ one is. But I am now to the point in my colleting where I only keep or buy the "Ultimate" of any figure available. (especially my armies).
My box had a Willrow in it too. But that is not my review to do....
-
Or hot glue.
Interesting. I assume they did it in a way that the head wasn't permanently attached?
-
Hot glue wouldn't permanently attach much of anything plastic actually. It's good with some materials, but plastic isn't one of them.
Actually a lot of people try super glue, and move the joint around so there's no bonding. It creates an extra layer to the joint thickening it up similar to Paul's Hot Glue method.
-
My box had a Willrow in it too. But that is not my review to do....
I do hope Mr. Pearson has received a similar box, at the very least with Willrow. I wouldn't suggest for a second you shouldn't have it Paul, but it would seem fitting for Scott to get an early look.
-

I actually use super glue when my lightsabers snap, and it's worked, but I've only tried it on a ball-jointed arm once before ... didn't work :(

Wouldn't it make more sense to spread it around the inside of the head or the outside of the neck and let it dry first, then put it all back together?
-

When you move the joint (after you put the super glue in) it spreads the glue around, and it won't be too thick. super glue doesn't air cure very fast either, so putting it in the joint is actually faster. I've used this method to tighten several limbs and it has always worked very well for me.
-
Wow, thanks guys. I'll have to start using one of those mods.

I agree 100% and made sure that was the case.

How does it not fuse the head and neck together leaving them complete immobile?
-
How does it not fuse the head and neck together leaving them complete immobile?
By keeping the joint in motion, you allow the glue to coat and bond to the plastic of the joint but essentially not stick to itself.
Instead of a permanent plastic-glue-plastic bond, you end up with a plastic-glue glue-plastic situation and the joint still moves freely.
Like Ryan and Jesse said, the key is to keep the joint moving until you're sure the glue is set. There have been a few times with customs I didn;t keep it moving long enough and did accidentally glue a joint closed. :(
-

Excellent. It must be quite the joyous time in Pearsonland. :)
-
I read somewhere that if you are going to use the hot glue method for tightening up a head socket the easy way to do it is coat the neck post in vasoline. After doing that you put hot glue into the head and then put the two together - the vasoline barrier will keep the two seperate.
I think by doing it this way you may not need to worry about the joint gluing shut.
-
With things like hot glue and really super glue, you actually can't fuse the joints together so they'd "break apart" easily enough and you could try cleaning them out and whatnot. Only certain materials actually fuse plastics together, especially the polyvinyl figures are made out of these days (generally).
The problem with the vasoline idea is it can mix with the hot glue... Making the hot glue essentially not stick to much of anything. Hot glue's a weird thing... It's kind of actually similar to heating plastic and injecting it, ala the production of figures. I've actually injected hot glue into molds and come out with a cast that wasn't too bad. :) It's of course a poor material to cast with though but not bad for prototyping.
Anyway, mixing the vaseline with the glue can ruin the overall effort, just a word of warning.
-
So is the ESB wave the last TLC wave planned until 2010 so far?? ??? I haven't seen this wave yet, it's mostly the ROTJ wave.
-
Yep. Wave 13 / EU wave (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HS87535N) is expected for 2010. Although at the pace things have been released lately, we may see it next month.
-

Hasbro tends to do that with whatever wave is expected for the new year.
-
Has this wave (the ESB wave) hit anywhere yet? I'm just trying to figure out if I've got a breather with regards to Legacy figures or if I'm still playing catch-up.
-
Not yet. Just overseas thus far.
-
Sad news boys, the Star Trekkish 2nd Bespin Guard got canned and will not be coming:
http://www.creaturecantina.com/news_stories/2009/1118/hasbro-qna.html
I wonder if we will ever see the 2nd Scanning Crew Member? Talk about dropping the ball again (Beardless, Uggy but they got him out, Utai #2, Bespin Wing Guard and quite possibly the Scanning Crew #2). They also confirm the Beardless Rebel was never made so you can stop hunting.
-
I still think that they must be confusing the Scanning Tech and the Bespin Guard since everytime they answer a question about one of them, it seems to make more sense for the other.
For example, last time in the Q&A they said Scanning Crew #2 was coming in the EU cases... but all the on-line places show the variant Bespin Guard in that case.
Now they're saying that the v2 Bespin Guard isn't shipping after all... so does that mean the Wave 13 cases will have more of the Black Guard then? Or did they in fact slip Scanning Crew Guy #2 in that case in Utris' place if he got canned?
So confusing... ???
-
Exactly what Jeff said. Which sucks if we're not getting the 2nd Scanner Tech with, the friggin' Scanner box. ::) What bs that is.
It's hard to say what they've got going on at this point though... They didn't even mention the tech and he's a variant too, so that's confusing. All pre-orders show the Bespin Freak in the EU case though. Hell I thought he belonged there specifically even, due to his EU-eyness.
-
At this point they almost have a full wave of variants that they've botched the release on. Gather them up, make a 2x misfits case and put us out of our misery.
-
Now in a lot of cases I truly understand Hasbro's issue. As a Toy designer myself I really understand where they are coming from on a lot of issues and defend them.
However, in regards to Comic packs, WM DF2 sets, timing of assortment releases and variant figures they are royally dropping the ball on a lot of aspects of the line. They are the ones killing it. It's interesting how they were able to get so many different versions of stupid peg warming ROC figures out without a hiccup despite the fact the crap collects dust. It's wearing a bit thin on me how they blame the majority of the problems on the collectors and contradict themselves with Legends. I can forgive them on the Beardless Trooper as there was a transition of packaging and slowdown of the line. But the friggin Wing Guard/Scanning Dude #2 too?
This calls for a Bold 14pt Yellow Text:
WTF!!!!!
-
At this point they almost have a full wave of variants that they've botched the release on. Gather them up, make a 2x misfits case and put us out of our misery.
I like that idea a lot actually. It won't happen of course, but I like it a lot. Be nice if they maybe went 4x HRT, 4x Scanner Tech, 2x Ugnaught, 2x Bespin Dude. I'd love that case mix, and would probably pre-order two of them.
-
That would stink, but I'm much happier with the one that's shipping.
-
Darn I really wanted the Star Trekish Bespin Guard and all the other variants they showed. Sigh.
-
Well this bites. And it just shows that Hasbro is losing touch. The Legends line is all about reissues. These slightly variant figures are just that. They'd make great sellers as either a Legacy repaint wave OR a reissue wave in Legends, even though they are technically variants.
Come on Hasbro, we all know you guys peruse the collecting boards and see that we want the variants. Get them to market and they WILL be bought. At this point I don't think it would matter either if they were Legacy or Legends.
In the case of the Hoth Rebel trooper, Scanning Crew Troopers, you've got multiple purchases/army builders there. To a lesser degree the same can be said for the Bespin Guards and Ugnaughts.
I totally agree with Jesse's proposed case breakdown too.
Hasbro, you're losing money on figures already developed. We're talking simple headswaps for 3 of the 4 of them.
Rolls eyes....(I'm doing way to much of that lately.)
-
Hasbro, you're losing money on figures already developed.
You mean like the Indiana Jones figures that never came to market? Wherefor art thou Toht? :P
-
I was planning on getting a lot of the alien one to head swap and make other guards they are losing money from me on this one and others. I think the next Q&A will be interesting as long as other site do not ask stupid questions. We have to stay on them with all of the problems we are citing. The running change of the troopers can be sold on HTS, they would sell out without a problem. They can easily deliver as long as they produce them in the same run as the first version.
-
Hasbro needs to stop with the variations that are supposed "to sell with the other waves." Enough is enough. They fail all the time. First beardless Hoth trooper, now Bespin dude? >:(
And is the Scanner trooper variant supposed to sell in another wave, or is it included in the ANH wave?
-
Don't forget the second Utai being axed.
-

I was gonna do that too.

I actually think it's the scanning crew #2 that got canned not the Bespin guard. We already saw package shots of him, a paint master and he is slotted in every pre-sale. Has anyone seen the second scanner dude - NO. So I am starting to believe what Jeff said earlier more and more. we need to confirm this in the next Q&A.
-
I hope not. I'll actually cry if that's the case.
-
I'd prefer the 2nd scanner guy to the Star Trek rip-off Bespin Guard.
-
I'd prefer the 2nd scanner guy to the Star Trek rip-off Bespin Guard.
I hope you mean Star Trek ripped off SW on this alien design. As far as I know ESB came out before ST used a similar design. So it really would be ST ripping off SW not the other way around.

Even still, it looks more like a ST alien than a SW alien. Plus, I don't recall ever seeing him in ESB, so is it from the card game? That said, out of the variants that we haven't got, I'd prefer the Hoth Trooper, Scanner and Utai to him.
-
I want all the variants! I'd gladly take any of these over Duddly Solo and his Power-Ranger sized Stormtrooper Helmet. I don't get why this is such a cluster for Hasbro. They didn't seem to have problems with variants in the initial Legends line where we had like 5 sandtroopers, 4 different battle droids, etc. Why didn't they just pack these into later waves instead of the other crap re-packs that are warming the pegs?
-
Hasbro is a total failure when it comes to variants - they cant seem to do it at all - they shouldnt even annouce them anymore. I was really looking forward to the alien Bespin guard. With all the cancellations, Hasbro could put a whole wave together for next year - they can call it the 'we dont know how to manage the Legacy line to save our collective ass'...wave.
-

At this point they almost have a full wave of variants that they've botched the release on. Gather them up, make a 2x misfits case and put us out of our misery.
Yep ;)
-
Speaking to the variant figure's origins... Was the Bespin Guard actually in the movie or was he a TCG creation? I thought he was the latter but now I'm not sure.
-
I think he was filmed but ultimately cut.
-
I think he was filmed but ultimately cut.
Yeah - here's a link to his Wookiepedia entry. (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Utris_M%27Toc)
He's pretty creepy looking in the picture. :o
-
Makes me wonder what his scenes involved then... Why go to the trouble of slipping an alien in, the make-up and all, to cut him out then completely? Makes one wonder if he had some deeper story impact ala Lobot or something. His uniform looks like it has some unique piping to it.

The actor that played Lobot said in an old interview that there were some scenes cut from the Cloud City escapes which, for the time, was considered top be kind of graphic. I am pretty sure he inferred that Lobot got shot and perhaps some Bespin Guards. You know how Lucas didn't like to have humans getting killed in his SW films so perhaps the alien Bespin Guard was there for that purpose. Maybe he was in those cut scenes.
-
That's not a bad theory... A human-ish guy getting gunned down.

Ah, good ol' John Hollis! A very nice guy when I met him at Celebration 2.
The tone of EMPIRE was definitely a good deal darker than ANH. A scene with Stormtroopers gunning down Bespin Guards might have been a step in too dark of a direction. It's funny though. There's decent documentation of the deleted scenes from the Hoth part of the movie. I had never heard about any from Cloud City. Still, when the OT gets issued on Blu Ray it would be nice to finally get some of these deleted scenes.

I cracked this wave open and here is my quick review:
Luke Snowspeeder pilot - Awesome! Superb detailing, excellent head sculpt all around a clear winner. He will not disappoint at all. (I cannot wait to slap on a CP Lumiya pack Luke head on this.)
ICMG - Wonderfully executed. The only thing missing is the commlink headgear otherwise a great nod to one of the most obscure characters. Face could have been a little rounder but I really like him!
Zuckass - Another fantastic figure! The preview pictures did not do him justice. Wonderful detail and deco, kiss the old one goodbye and send him back to the 90's.
Bespin guard - The great figures keep coming in this wave. The best parts about this sculpt is his neck ball joint, it is a more common size so these should be very easy to customize. the alien has white skin so you can make a lot out of him and I plan on using the Rebel Vanguard head to make the Black Bespin Guard that was behind Lando when the Falcon landed.
Joe Jonhson Snowtrooper - Yet another amazing figure in this wave. A really cool looking Trooper that works for both eras. A surprise army builder here the sleeper of the wave!
R2-X2 - An surprisingly cooler and more accurate deco to the previous version, I actually like this figure more than I thought I would.
AT-AT Driver - Absolutely horrendous. The only nice part to this figure is the 70's headsculpt of Jango. The proportion are way off, the feet are too small for wearing snow boots, the painted white helmet looks glossy and bad this is the only dud. The Saga2 version is way better, this was a wasted (and not needed) reculpt that took away from another potential character.
HK-50 - Excellent the first time around and really shiny metallic awesome this time around!
Overall one of the strongest waves this year, could have been the strongest had it not been for the AT-AT-Driver. At least the head was cool.

Wait, which version did you get - the alien or the black one?

The Black one. Star Trek Boy does not hit until next wave. I was just commenting on that figure to make White Bespin Guards. I am experimenting with heads now. I will throw up some pics shortly.....

Saw two Willrow Hoods at Wal-Mart this evening, no other figures from the wave. Bought one.
-
I already incorporated these dudes in my display:

Overall the figure is nice but "The Black Bespin Guard" does not really look Black. Your Gene Wilder description is pretty dead on. I am dremmeling the Rebel Vangaurd head, it looks sweet on him and movie accurate.
-
I've had the Bespin Guard for a while... He's tall. That was my only real gripe with him. At least my only major one. To me he wraps up a need for BG's ever now. I'd like an SA white one and an Asian one with the big mustache so the vintage is taken care of, but beyond that I really am fine with the sculpt they've got out now.
Nice to hear this wave's hitting though I don't relish looking for another new wave right away considering what I spent on the last stuff that I found in rapid succession.
-
Dude ... NICE pics. ;)
I think the Bespin Guard looks pretty spiffy.
-
Wow, that bespin guard looks bad - and not in a good way. Reminds me of Gene Wilder in See No Evil, Hear No Evil
You're right, Jay. Looks like the reused some Imperial officer's head and molded it with a different fleshtone, though the ethnicity sticks out so bad.
-
Is the Luke short like the previous pilot Lukes or is he a normal height?
-
Is the Luke short like the previous pilot Lukes or is he a normal height?
Luke height is shorter and very accurate. He is perfectly scaled with current Lukes. The only details missing are on the helmet, it's also missing some wear. The helmet is also a new sculpt to accommodate the new head. It's very apparent on the goggles. He may be the best figure in the wave.
-
I found this wave at Wal Mart while on my lunch break. I like when I find out about new items showing up and then a day or two later find them 8) Lots of good figures in this wave, though I get the biggest kick out of Willrow Hood for the figure's sheer obscurity.
-
Too bad Target seems to be lagging. At the rate they're going, they won't get tins wave until after the holidays.
-
Found the repacks from this wave this morning, but none of the Empire figures. I also heard about this wave being found in the DC area. It looks like they've hit in a big way all over the east coast.
-
Found this wave today at a Wally near Albany, NY. I only grabbed R2-X2 and Willrow. Feeling uber-nerdy that I grabbed Willrow instead of snowspeeder Luke, but I just couldn't chance that I wouldn't see Willrow again (thereby guaranteeing that the opposite will happen).
-
Just came home with about half of the figures in this wave. But Zuckuss, the AT-AT Driver and the Concept Snowtrooper eluded me. For today, at least.
-
I found half this wave at WM yesterday. Picked up Luke, At-At driver, Concept Snowtrooper and the R2 unit. The others I missed by moments.
-
Did Hasbro have some kind of excuse for including R2-X2 into this wave? It's just that it seems bananas that they would include a simple droid as a basic figure when they could have integrated it into the BAD figure system. ???
-
Really nice pics. I can't wait to add that Zuckuss to my collection.
-
I'm looking forward to this wave. I want a squads worth of the Concept Snowtrooper (4-6).
That concept looks much like Commander Bacara, IMO. Perhaps that's where the got the idea for Bacara from. Makes sense.
-
I picked up Luke & Zuckuss this past weekend. Passed on pretty much everything else. I wasn't too impressed with the Snowtrooper & personally, I prefer the McQuarrie version much better. The AT-AT Driver's helmet looks ridiculous.
-
I've still seen nothing of this wave... I've heard it's shipping in a display, is this correct? I saw a display tonight in the center aisle at WM, but it was loaded with 90% ROTS figures and a couple ROTJ's. Nothing else.
-
I'm thinking I'll probably pass on the AT-AT Driver. Does anyone know which one of the repacks comes with his BAD part?
-
I did a little hunting, but I'm not sure which figure shares the same piece as the AT-AT Driver. He comes with the torso, but I'm not sure who else does as well.

Bacara includes the torso repack.
-
Found Willrow and the Snowtrooper tonight... bah. I'll find the others when I least expect it. I think I'm more interested in the B.A.D. than any single figure from this wave.
-
Picked this whole wave up at a local Minnesota Wal-Mart early this morning after work. This wave is way cooler then I thought it would be! :o I am very happy to own it. :) 8)
-
This wave has hit here in VA too...I saw Willrow, Zuckuss etc at my local Wally last night. $6 isn't shabby either.
-

You should have grabbed the Luke. Willrow is a peg warmer. Only true Star Wars geeks like us will want him. Moms, dads and kids will not.
-
I've not even seen the wave at all yet... tad early to call him a pegwarmer isn't it? :)
-

Probably, but at the moment him and the droid are the ones left behind when Zuckuss, Luke, concept stormie and the security guard are gone.
But still I wouldn't call anything Wave 7 and onward a pegwarmer yet, there's like hardly anything around except at Kohl's.
Yarna - that's what I call a pegwarmer.

I have the feeling that the Luke will make it into the Legends line, or failing that be a repack, so I think I'll be able to find it later. Willrow was just too dorky-cool to pass up.
-
Locally nobody's finding R2-X2 if they've found the wave though... Different strokes for different folks I guess. I think out of all the people who've seen it locally (3 maybe?) they've not seen R2-X2 yet save for one guy who I think found them all and doubles.
I want the whole wave so I'm giddy to find it, but no luck so far. I can't even get a straight answer on if these are hitting the regular pegs or if they're part of some pre-packed display. I see a display around at some WM stores but it's heavily picked over and only has ROTS wave on it.
-

At the two WMs where I found this wave they were regular case shipments and not part of a display pallet. So in both stores they had been pegged with the rest of the Star Wars figures in stock at that moment.
The unfortunate thing with these waves is that the new figures are only 1 per case, so really the only way to tell if you missed the wave is to find the Deviss, Agen Kolar, Plo Koon or Bacarra figures with HK-50 parts.
-
Not seen them with repack parts... yet. Just that terminator POS so far.
Thanks Pete. I'll keep looking when I'm doing holiday shopping anyway.
-
Bacara includes the torso repack.
Thanks Jayson and Justin. I guess I'll have to pick up one AT-AT driver since I'd rather have one of those over Bacara. Too bad the piece could have just come with the snowtrooper. Oh well, it's not like I get out to stores enough to find anything anymore anyways.
-
Opened what I have.
Concept Snoowtrooper - Cool well done figure.
At-At Driver - he may have been unnecessary, but man is this an excellent figure.
Snowspeeder Luke - What can I say that hasn't already been said? One of the best figures Hasbro has ever done.
R2 X2 - Fine for the repaint that it is, however, I find it funny that the give us a droid for one of the few pilots they haven't made yet.
-
At-At Driver - he may have been unnecessary, but man is this an excellent figure.
Excellent? Even with the ridiculously oversized helmet? Wow.
-
I don't think the helmet is too far out of scale for the figure when compared to the costume as it (along with the TIE Pilot helmets) seem kind of bulbous anyway.

It's few and far between but I agree with you 100% on this one. Not only is it over sized the white glossy paint adds to the crappiness of this figure. I really do like the head underneath, the only redeeemable aspect of this figure besides the droid part. I wish that head was used on the Snowtroopers. the late 70's early 80's burns was a nice touch.
I also do not like the skinny ankles on this figure, he is wearing snow boots but looks like he has size 7 feet. Love the rest of this wave!
-

What I can I say? I'm easy. ;)
-
I got 3 figures from this wave so far... I still need Luke Snowspeeder, R2-X2, and Concept Snowtrooper.
Anyhoo, of the 3 I did get they're great.
-Bespin Guard... Besides his hat not sitting on his noggin right, I'm not really griping at all. I love the removable holsters and how the baton fits the sheath very well. The pistol's really sharply sculpted, and the figure itself has a lot of detail. I'd like to move the Saga Endor Rebel's head over to make a more vintage-ish looking version of the black Bespin Guard, so if I see it anytime soon again I'm nabbing a 2nd. I think you mentioned that custom JACK, and that's my plan too then.
-Willrow Hood... Fantastic figure. I was surprised he didn't come with a rebel blaster (why not, ya know?) to make him a little more action-ish. The sculpting, articulation, deco, and generally all the details were fantastic though, and so I'm glad to have him and I'll nab at least one more for custom fodder. Perhaps two even.
-AT-AT Driver... I'm surprisingly impressed by this more than I thought I'd be. I still think the figure's unnecessary and that the last version was perfectly fine for this Imperial Trooper. I like the updated Clone headsculpt to fit with the "look" of SW characters from the original trilogy. That's pretty cool on Hasbro's part. The body's very detailed, heavily articulated, and has a sort of natural look to it with the ball/socket torso sort of leaning.
What surprised me is the helmet... I think the helmet IS oversized, as I think it's based on the TIE Pilot's helmet which was oversized compared to like the Stormtrooper's helmets. What shocked me though is that the helmet fits the figure's head very well. I've been seeing pictures of people who must be pulling an OJ on this figure's helmet because mine fits and covers the head pretty well completely. I can see some of his neck in the back, but that's it. I've seen people trying to give the impression that the helmet leaves the back of the head exposed though, and it simply doesn't. Mine fits perfectly. I may buy a 2nd driver, maybe more, depending on if I see any at WM in quantity.
Right now my focus is wrapping up the wave though. The AT-AT Driver isn't as bad as people were saying though around the interwebs.
Still unnecessary in every way, and I would much more have welcomed a Snowtrooper Officer update than this figure. A new Veers with more articulation and FULL torso armor would've been nice as well. Veers has the potential to be one badass army builder if Hasbro would put some effort into him.
-
Found my first sighting of this wave today... a lone Willrow that I had to pass on because he had a huge black smudge on his belly.
-
It was probably just chocolate. :D
-
I was surprised he didn't come with a rebel blaster (why not, ya know?) to make him a little more action-ish.
That's weird. My ICMG had a blaster. ???
-
Oh yes he did have one, nevermind. Mine just doesn't have his because it's horribly warped so I've got it in the, "this stuff needs heated" pile. I forgot I took that off him.
-
It was probably just chocolate. :D
I've never seen chocolate THAT dark... :-X
-

I've only opened TPM and ROTJ wave thus far - as well as a few select figures throughout my carded years....Question - is this a common problem with most carded figs and stuff from comic/battle packs? I've had a few problems here and there with some of the Joes, but I haven't encountered the warped problem with the few SW figs I've managed to open since changing my tune.
-
Yes it is... But it's easy to fix too. Just fill a glass with hot tap water from your sink (as hot as the sink makes it), and drop the weapons in. They generally retake their shape without any help. If you have to though just sorta use your fingers to help them along if they need it.
I usually wait till I have a pile needing this so I can just do them all at once... like right now I have the Bespin Guard's pistol, baton, sheath, a few rebel blasters, several Imperial guns, Major Panno's gun... other stuff in there.
Sometimes you have to do it with a hand or something too... and you can do it with figure limbs and things, but that's a "boil & freeze" which is sort of an old customizing thing to fix a figure who maybe has legs spread too far apart or a weirdly bent ankle or something.
The weapons though, they just drop into hot water and the plastic's memory generally retakes and puts it back in shape.
-
Thanks for the tip, Jesse.
-
Sometimes you have to do it with a hand or something too...
TWSS.
Sorry, I couldn't help it, lol.
I still need this whole wave. I'm not panicking though. I'm all caught up except for the Chewie and Jawa/Security droid (with the correct droid parts-though I have neither with any droid parts).
-
I happened across this entire wave, aside from R2-X2, at Wal-Mart on Christmas Even last week. They were just laying on the shelf below the pegs (which were jammed full of CW stuff otherwise), so I scooped them all up aside from the repacks (Plo Koon, Bacara, and a Snowtrooper were there). I got a chance to open these today, and I think this is one of my favorite waves of the year - right alongside the ROTJ wave. Of course we have the greatness that is Willrow Hood, but the rest of the wave is nice too. Luke (Snowspeeder) might be one of my favorite figures in a long time, and I hope I can pick up a couple more at least. Zuckuss is a figure I've been waiting awhile for a resculpt on, and I'm not disappointed at all. Although I think the last Dengar was pretty well done, I could see getting an update articulation-wise there, and we'd pretty much have a perfect lineup of the ESB bounty hunters. I sort of like the Concept Snowtrooper from a "sci fi look" point of view, and it is pretty well made too. The Bespin Guard is cool too, and I hope to pick up more (and eventually, the variant). The AT-AT driver, like others said, wasn't really necessary - but it isn't a bad figure either. The slot could have probably been filled by something better though. Overall, a great wave I think, and I hope to get extras of several of the figures (Luke, Zuckuss, Bespin Guard, Willrow).
-
My Willrow came with a Rebel Blaster.
-
I came across an endcap of these today in long display boxes of 12 figures each at Wally.
-
Good news on that. If I could find ANH wave, ESB wave, and then the EU wave, I'd be pretty happy... Right now though we're clogged to the gills at every WM with the LEgends figures from those pallet displays that never sold, and the ROTS remnants that aren't selling. :-\
-
Found the rest of this wave tonight in the Walmart display pieces. And it was very cool to get a hold of Zuckuss and the AT-AT Driver.
There also seems to be a packaging variant with the AT-AT driver. One version has the helmet on, and the other has the helmet off.
-
I can't wait until I find this wave. I'm looking forward to most of the figures.
-
Evo Boba or LC Boba belongs to this wave, I bought this action figure but I don´t understand how it bends the arms.
I saw photos of this toys bending arms, holding the rifle with both hands, etc
Can anyone give me some advice please?
Thanks in advance.
-
With a little trial and error, virtually any natural arm position (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/html/TLC/basicfigures/BD36.html) can be achieved by bending the shoulders, elbows and rotating the wrist gauntlets to grasp the blasters with both hands.
Also, this latest Fett is shipping with the ANH and ROTS wave assortments and I don't believe he's slotted in this (ESB) wave.
-
Out tonight, and still not one sign of this wave locally... Nothing. It was a ****** night. No clearanced AT-ST's either, and one store that had probably 24 or 30 of them now has no AT-ST's at all.
-
I'm really looking forward to getting Luke in his Snowspeeder gear from this wave, but when I was checking out 'scum's pics (http://www.rebelscum.com/TLCBD51LukeSnow.asp) for it, they show this comparison shot:
I can't for the life of me remember where that second version of Luke is from. Can someone help me out?
-
The second from the left is the Titanium figure, Jess. I have a little collection of Titanium figures out of the package if you're interested in them. I'm thinking I may sell them as a lot here at some point.
-
Well ****, no wonder I couldn't place it.
-
I've completed the wave with Zuckuss, Willrow and the Guard, but have yet found the time to open these. Everything looks great though.
-
Well Pittsburgh seems to finally be getting this wave in some sort of quantity. The locals reported finding those pre-pack displays the last couple weeks, and I found 1 complete wave of ESB2.0 with an almost complete wave alongside them (no R2-X2). Basically I found 2 of everyone but R2-X2 then I guess. I think there may have only been one Concept Snowtrooper too.
Anyway, going over this wave...
-Bespin Guard is great except for two things... his height (he's a quite tall fellow) and his hat isn't deep enough to fit his head well. I think the POTJ figure's hat may even look better on him. Otherwise I'm ecstatic and hope they give us a mustached vintage asian/white guy, mustached vintage black guy, and I'd like a generic looking white dude with no facial hair. I'm not hopeful for any of that, but it'd be cool regardless in a battlepack or something that had maybe those two "head variants" looking guys, a repacked Boba Fett maybe, and perhaps a "floating" Han in Carbonite block repaint of the Saga carbonite block with some kind of clear stand for it. I can dream.
-R2-X2... Nice paintjob. That's about all I can say. :)
-Zuckus... I'm disappointed he doesn't have a removable pack/webbing and full cloth coat, but otherwise he's a long overdue improvement.
-Concept Snowie... Not my favorite design. Well done figure for what it is, but I liked the one we got in the 30AC line, so I just got Johnson's design for completist's sake of the concept stuff.
-Snowspeeder Luke... Oofah is that a nice figure. I'm getting a 2nd at some point I think to have a non-hood Luke to display too since when he's out of the speeder he doesn't have the hood on ever. Otherwise my hat's off to Hasbro for a pretty near perfect figure. I can't figure out where the clip to his grapple gun goes, but in the meantime it's just tucked under his coat skirt piece.
-Wilrow Hood... I bought my 2nd Willrow and left one behind. I may nab another one if I'm out and see this wave again though in the future. THe only flaw Willrow has is that they didn't put "Scott Approved" on the package or something. :P Good fodder, and hopefully I can use him to put together a Rebel without flight gear on if I find a good torso for something like that. It's a great figure.
-AT-AT Driver... I already had him, but the figure seems ok to me. His helmet's big, but AT-AT Drivers had big helmets by every photo I've seen. Also people commented that it doesn't cover the back of his head, but I think they need to push it down a little harder because my figure's helmet totally covers his head, front and back. I'll buy a 2nd AT-AT Driver at some point, and probably a 3rd to pull apart.
At this point, I'm actually caught up, and that feels good...
till the EU wave.
I'm glad to be caught up... This wave's pretty cool. Much cooler than the ROTS wave which really left me bored.

Unhook the life support tube thingy from the leg, as shown in the pic (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/ActionFigures/TLC/LC_BD51/lf16.html) :D
-
Thanks Diddly... Hmmm.
That doesn't seeam really STURDY though. ;) For when he's hanging around by the rope and all. That's as good a place to hook it though I'm sure.
-
BBTS has these in stock!
-
I saw more of this wave at my nearest WM tonight, which is so overflowing with figures (almost all Legends) that I was surprised to see these. The wave was picked over, yet ironically they had left the concept trooper and R2-X2. There was only one Luke, no ICMG's, one Bespin Guard, no Zuckuss... This store has a full endcap now of pegs of nothing but Legends figures, in addition to the regular figure area which is overflowing with Legends and a smattering of Legacy, and then the rest are Clone Wars pegwarmers.
-
Wish I could say the same, Jesse. Can't find these anywhere.
-
Our local WM had a couple cases of this on the pegs this morning as well (they just did a reset), so I picked up a few extras. Really one of my favorite waves of the year overall, nice figures.
-
Has this shown up at Target yet? No Wal-marts within 25 minutes of here...
-
Has this shown up at Target yet? No Wal-marts within 25 minutes of here...
I've yet to see a sighting at Target. Everything I've read/seen/heard is online or Wal-Mart.
-
I still haven't seen any of this wave and it's not for lack of trying.
-
I too haven't seen/heard of anything of this wave showing up at any store but WM so far.
It's very weird, but WM tends to not wait after the holidays to keep things flowing while Target and TRU do have a bit of a slowdown I've noticed. Usually once February passes, things pick up at least slightly at those stores.
-
Talk about out of it...is the second Bespin Guard (freaky alien guy) in this wave, or is he in the EU wave that ships next?
-
He's in the now exclusive EU wave, which will be at TRU's.
-
The wave is excusive to TRU? When did that happen?
-
The last Q&A... They'll be at TRU then at some online retailers like Entertainment Earth who get the last of the run.
-
I'm thinking I might have to break down and buy a case of this wave online. No stores have gotten anything past the ANH wave, and I need my Zuckuss and ICMG.
-
Not a bad idea if someone has them available. There's gonna be a gap in product though too, so you never know when the icejam will break. Right now Legacy's the only thing that's shipped much locally except Clone Wars which keeps steadily moving. Legends is dead in the water here.
-
If anyone ends up with an extra AT-AT Driver holding his helmet in package and/or the Concept Snowtrooper with belt backwards on the picture on the back of the card, please shoot me a PM. I'm still a sucker for the variations and will buy or trade.
-
Last night I finally managed to find some of these. Just needing the Concept Snowtrooper, the Alien Bespin Guard and the AT-AT Driver. If anyone can help me out it would be most appreciated. I'd prefer if these have the HK-50 parts, but I'll take them with a different droid part if they're carded like that.

I believe the Alien Bespin Guard is Wave 13 (TRU Exclusive wave), so you just have two figs to track down now. ;)
-
Yes, he's Wave 13/TRU Exclusive EU Wave.
-
Yes, that is the wave that he is going to be in.
-
Does anyone know which BAD parts go with which figure? I reall want to build theHK-5 figue, but I know I'llnevr see the Conep Snow Trooper r R2-X2. (I have a line on the Luke, AT-AT driver and Zuckuss and already have the Bespin Guard and ICMG).
So far here's what I have:
ICMG - Right Arm
Bespin Guard - Left Arm
Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder) - Head and rifle
Zuckuss - Right Leg
AT-AT driver - Torso
R2-X2 - ??
Concept Snowtrooper - ??
The extras in the case are:
Snowtrooper - ??
Agen Kolar - ??
Plo Koon - ??
Commander Bacara - ??
Commander Deviss - ??
I guess I'm reeally just looking for the left leg....anyone know which other figure comes with it?

Thanks Jeff!
All that stuff they say about you....I only believe half of it! ;D

Finally opened the last of this wave - Bespin Guard, Zuckuss and Willrow.
The Bespin Guard is prety good, a bit tall, but well made otherwise.
Zuckus would be perfect if it wasn't for the cut of the skirt. I'll have to take a needle and thread to it to close the gap.
Wilrow is alright.
The HK Droid is just as good as the other.
-
I opened up one of the Bespin Guards that I bought and I can't get his hat to "stick" on for the life of me. Is this common? Is the hat just supposed to rest on the top of his head?
-
Yes. I reviewed this figure as part of getting back in the swing of things, and of the ones I have the hat's an issue on all of them. I got a POTJ hat to sit better, actually.
This is most likely an issue that's occurred during production, as sizes can change on some items, and I'm guessing a slight shrinkage[/end Costanza] issue with the hat.
-
The hats on mine fit okay, just look like they ride a tad bit too high up on his head.
-
They tend to fall off a little easily too... I'm ok with them though.
I notice this wave more and more locally, and I gotta say the repacks are great. And at $6 to boot. I'm nabbing Scanner Techs here and there, and SNowtroopers and stuff too.
I'd probably buy another of the repaint astromech and Willrow Hood but I don't see them as often as some of the others like the Bespin Guard and (oddly enough) Zuckuss. Zuckuss I see routinely. THe AT-AT Driver at times lingers. He'd be doing better with an AT-AT to ride I think.

The Left Leg for HK-50 comes packed with three different figures:
BD-46 Stormtrooper
BD-54 Zuckuss
BD-55 Snowtrooper
It depends on what case you get, Wave 12 or Wave 12 Revision 1, for the Stormtrooper. He comes with the left leg in wave 12 cases but the right arm in W12R1. Zuckuss and Snowtrooper keep the same parts for both cases.

I had found this wave a week ago for the FIRST time ever (!) and I was surprised to find that the Plo Koon figure from the ROTS wave included the silver (repainted) arm to the HK figure. I had read over yonder at JTA that there had been a revision to the ESB case.
-
Just a peculiar observation; the revision case of ESB has new UPC stickers over the old one. Odd. Still the same DCPI though.

I've noticed those at Target as well as at WM and TRU. I've also noticed that those figures omit the Qui-Gon/Eopie certificate and bubble sticker.
-
I too noticed this, and a number of the figures aren't in my WM's system for some reason. Death Star Luke in particular I noticed.
Was that Revision case always set up that way with those figures, or was it changed at all? I wasn't expecting to see things like the Gungan Warrior and Obi-Wan from E1 again, but I wasn't sure who was always scheduled all along to be in those case revisions for the ESB2.0 wave.
-
I'm pretty sure that the Wave 12 Revision 1 cases changed from what was originally published. I updated my lists and it looks like, unfortunately, I removed the original info and didn't keep it for reference.
Two of the figures, Plo Koon and the Stormtrooper, changed what Build-a-Droid part they came with in the first W12 case also.
I bought the AT-AT Driver from the W12R1 case and he has a barcode sticker over the POP.
E...
-
a lot of people think that the reason for the bar code sticker was because these were initially going to be "value 2 packed" - i have seen some with blank stickers over the UPC's. It would be insane to find 2-fers of this assortment...

I have heard/read the same - that UPC sticker/bar code does seem to be the same as the blockbuster pack bar code and then the fact that some are turning up with the UPC blanked out sure lends credence to that "they were gonna blockbuster 2-pack these" story.
-
Scored Agen Kolar and Zuckuss, both from the revised ESB case. I'm glad my local Target ordered the revised case b/c for the LONGEST time the stores was getting only the TPM and ANH waves, and the ESB and ROTS waves were absolutely non-existant. But the revised ESB case hacked out both waves!
-
Scored Hoth Luke! I'm trying to figure out to attach his grappling hook to him, as the picture on the cardback shows the gun somehow clipped on to his belt, when in fact his belt is painted onto the figure.

Unfortunately, that feature was omitted from the final figure (or it's photoshop trickery) as the only way to attach the grappling hook is to run the control box hose through it (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/ActionFigures/TLC/LC_BD51/lf15.html).

Thanks much for the advice; I tried that option and am fairly pleased with the result.

So, it's sounding like Canada should be getting the Empire Legacy wave at some point. I think twice now, in Q&A answers, they've mentioned it, including this week's answer over at Snowtroopers.ca.
If that's the case, and the cardbacks are any different than the US release, I'm looking to find a carded AT-AT Driver. Willing to pay or trade if anyone can help me out on that.

-
So far we've had 2 of the 2009/10 waves come to Canada (Wave 8/ESB and Wave 9/ROTJ), but they've been on US cards. I'd be surprised to see them do it differently for Wave 12/ESB, but I'll certainly watch for you.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they're the same as the US release but I appreciate it for checking.

Anyone know which figures come with the head/blaster of HK50?
I know the Red Clone Commander and Luke do, but which of the new repacks come with it? If any? ???

That's bizarre. The ROTS wave Plo Koon has also had HK-50's left arm packed in with him in the TESB wave cases.
-
Yep, here is the breakdown of the HK-50 parts courtesy of the honorable Rev. Strone.
Red Card TLC Wave 12 (ESB2) and Wave 12.5 case revisions:
HK-50 Head & Gun –- Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Pilot) BD51 or Commander Deviss (Red ARC trooper REPACK) BD35 or Plo Koon BD45
HK-50 Torso –- AT-AT Driver BD49 or Commander Bacara (REPACK) BD47 or Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) BD16
HK-50 Left Arm –- Bespin Security Guard#1 BD50 or Plo Koon (ROTS repack) BD45 or Imperial Scanning Tech BD32
HK-50 Right Arm –- Willrow Hood BD53 or Agen Kolar (ROTS repack) BD43 or Stormtrooper BD46 or Commander Cody BD44
HK-50 Left Leg –- Zuckuss BD54 or Snowtrooper BD46
HK-50 Right Leg –- Concept Snowtrooper BD48 or R2-X2 BD52 or Gungan Warrior BD7 or Obi-Wan Kenobi (TPM) BD6
-
That has to be the first instance of Hasbro packing different parts for a single droid with one repack figure. I've been tracking the repack parts pretty closely myself, but I can't recall having seen a Plo Koon with the HK-50 head. I'm going to have to take a look now.
-
There's a 327th Star Corps figure with two different parts for the MB-RA-7 droid. He originally came with the torso but there's a variant, with a darker pauldron, that has the right leg.
If anyone knows what case revisions that variant came with I'd like to know.
There was also a parts swap on two figures in the Euro cases; they were R2-L3's left leg and R5-A2 torso swapped between Kenobi and the Jawa.

Great... :-\
So it's either a 2nd Hoth Luke, a Commander Deviss I already own 3,000,000 of, or a figure whose face looks like a roast beef sandwich/money shot.
I think Hoth Luke, here I come.

I want to know what Jesse does with roast beef.

I enjoy it off the dollar menu? :P
-
Finally got the Snowspeeder Luke. Really nice figure. Well worth the wait.
-
I picked up the repack snow trooper from this wave the other day and the mask on his helmet seems really pink. Is that standard for this release?

All the samples I've seen have had the pink/peach breather hood.

Thanks man, I'm no customizer but I think I'm going to slap some white paint on this.

Dude, that would be a messy mistake. Just used some nail polish remover lightly, it will take it right off. I used it on CZ from the TAC line and he looks great. (And more white).
-
Thanks JACK, just as well I'm a lazy SOB and haven't got round to it yet. I'll have a go this weekend.
-
All I see these days from the revision case are 1 or 2 Wilrow Hoods and a few Plo Koons. Those are always the leftover figures.
-
I really like the angle of the hands on the new Snowspeeder Luke, they make for really nice poses with a light sabre.
-
tons of willrow and plo on the pegs, not much else

True that! I tried experimenting that one time with the TCW Asajj Ventress and Obi-Wan Kenobi figures from the scene in the film where she points the blade to his forehead as he's kneeling, but I couldn't get the figure to do that! :(
