Whoa! Now that's a homoerotic post (mr Jackhole's).
Its a good thing this forum is so open, because no way would that fly at RS.

Same here Anton, and just the other day I bragging about how there were all these clone troopers on the pegs I was going to get when they went on clearance. At Target, it looks like Santa showed up one night to collect. Now its just Bail, Palpatine, 1 or 2 Nemoidians.

Its those "eye flames" which just look stupid to me. If those could come off...still not worth it really.

I don't mind a flaming sculpt, like the Ringwraiths from LOTR.  A light's a decent gimmick for me, but, guess we won't get that here.

This is a general question for everyone:

What percentage of your DVD collection have you watched? (Keeping in mind multi-disc TV shows, and extras.)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Figure Sales (or price hikes)!
« on: December 7, 2005, 07:53 AM »
Targets for me will be a bonanza if the clearances start soon. Dozens of types figures are available. There's this glut of clones too. I would never have imagined it. I can see some being sold in the next couple of weeks, but it would be nice to get some good prices on these and other figures I've passed on.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: When will the ROTS clearances start?

It seems like Target has always been the first out of the gate with the clearances, so , does everyone agree they'll be the ones to do it first again? That would be pretty sweet if it happened sooner rather than later. There are tons of #41 clones around. I was meeting someone for a figure trade the other night, and while waiting I counted 14 at this Target. This particular Target has lots of pegs allocated for SW, but at first glance it didn't look like they had a great amount of figures at all. There were 2 or 3 on most pegs, so it looks sparse. When you count though, that's a decent number of clones. Probably 8 Plo Koon fighters too (though i went ahead and got one of these).

There's a Target nearer to me that has approximately twice as many figures as this one. With this amount, I could wait 2 or 3 weeks into the clearance to wait for more reductions on some figures. There's several I've placed in the "only on clearance" category. I dont' have to have them, but, I can't resist a bargain.

Wal-marts have been usually been better for vehicle clearance in my experience. With Saga, the Slave I and Obi Wan's fighter got way down. I was able to hook up a couple of people with $5 Slave 1s.  I'm guessing someone will get a good price on Mustafar.

The only times I've seen them have been recently, well after they first started showing up. There were several cases worth at Wal-mart last night, along with the rest of the assortment. I've also seen them rotate back in stock at KBtoys online.

Well...what was disturbing to me about it is the amount of 10 year old retards we had arguing that scalping is totally ok.

U suc, U wanna be a mod so ur kissing up to them! Joe Rules!

That's what I mean, those kinds of responses, they seem to be on the rise. Not your part of the discussion. I think it was you who had some words of wisdom early on when I signed up there: "Arguing on the internet is like running a race in the Special Olympics..."
That's not always a truism at other sites, but it fits there to a T.

It's a  2 or 3 year trend that you've woken up to.

3 years ago there were still plenty of decent people to have discussions with that rose about the chatter.  2 years ago even.  Its hard to look away whenever the latest installments of the saga are posted.

Wow, check it out:

"Each figure in Stargate Series 1 and Series 2 will include a different piece of the massive Stargate...Also, each alien figure will include half of the ramp leading up to the gate..."

The drama over there is usually good for a laugh - its kind of the Buster Keaton meets the Keystone Cops of the collecting community (or maybe its Stir Crazy). But this little scalper episode really brought the flamers out of the woodwork. That back and forth was more painful than humorous. Sheesh.  It was like, Level I flaming.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: What figures are hard to find now?
« on: December 1, 2005, 11:13 PM »
Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I say I don't care about not finding the final five, there they are. I found them tonight, so I bought 3. So much for I don't need them.

Yeah, actually I guess the red Saga clone was readily available, especially during the KB clearances. I guess I'm just struck by the improved quality this time around. #41 seems so good that the Build Your Army 3 packs really have been hanging around the pegs for ages. To me the overall supply of clones, or army builders,  is a step up from all previous lines, though certainly not perfect to meet demand. The best case scenario would include more ranks and characters.

Yeah, I noticed the price on Leia the other day, but didn't think to investigate the rest of them.

I think only Lando is available now.  :P

In short, I've never seen the final 5. I'd like a 501st eventually, but I'm not sweating any of them.

With most everything else, I've been surprised to find them several times over.  We're getting a decent rebound of Tarkins, both in the TRU value-packs and in the Twins case at Wal-mart. Grees and Blys keep coming around too.   Of course the red shocktroopers seem like a one shot now, so I'm glad I found one.

What I can't believe is how many #41 Clones I can get. I mean, if I wanted more, I could go out and buy literally 2 dozen today. Not that I see them "all the time" at every store, but the Target closest to me has had them on the pegs for many, many weeks now. I'm not gonna say "pegwarmer", because they'll be gone with the first clearance, but they aren't what I would call in short supply.

I went to one Wal-mart on Tuesday, this one's kind of in the boonies in between cities, and there were at least 12 there. Many Bly's, many Grees too. I guess there is a great assortment at this place - tons of figures - 3PO, Meena, also #6 clones. I do still see #6 regularly. Again, not at every store, but I know of at least 3 nearby that have them now.

Would anyone have thought we'd see this many quality clones available for such a long period of time?  Compare this with Saga. You'd get a clone pilot once in a while, and usually the red clones were gone too, and the quality doesn't even compare.
