incase anyone is interested it looks like Tunghori has some of these figures up for sale now - Obi, Fireman Droid, and Winter Rex.

I am just a lil bit scared of the "Very Limited" quantities Hasbro is emphasing on both of the slides for the exclusive comic packs.  I really would like to get both packs - but I am affraid this is gonna turn into some crazy hunt...

One thing I am curious about though is how does one acquire one of these sets other than taking a trip down to Florida?  Other than of course a fellow collector grabbing for others, are there web sites that typically will also sell these sets?

Send me a PM and I'll pick you up a set. I'm typically at Disneyland twice a month. Just remember that if you have me pick it up, you must take it. I can't return these things.

Master_Phruby - that rocks - I will be all over that and you will get a lightning fast payment from me when these start hitting.  Thanks for being so willing to help - I really appreciate it!

also, I was just doing some comparisons between the photos of Kaink and Teek.  Judging by the lettering behind them and their relative positions it looks as if Teek is a bit taller than Kaink.  So, his height may be off quite a bit.  From what I recall in the movies he was just a bit taller than Wicket, and the pics I am finding on the net pretty much confirm that.

So, Teek may tower over any upcomming Wicket.  Kaink appears to utilize the same mold and head sculpt of Keoulkeech (Graak body) from the WM comic pack from what i can tell.

However it shakes out I will definitely be getting one - just thought I would share what I am seeing.

Yeah with as much as I have been clamoring about about how badly I wanted Teek you would think I would have bought one - I passed and am holding off for the retail set.  $18 is a lot for one figure - I can wait.

I am prtty sure they are marked down to $6.99 in stores.  I went to TRU today to look - they didn't have jack.

I do know for a fact that MU and GI Joe figures are down to that price.

TRU.com now has the both the Legacy and Legends BOGO packs up for sale.  Only thing is they are russian roulette - so you don't know what 2 figures you will be getting.

You can end up with a bunch of figures for $4.50 or so including shipping and tax.  Not terrible considering people pay $2-3 for droid parts and i am sure one could sell off unwanted figures for a lil extra scratch.

So far I have only seen and heard of the ROTJ, TPM and ANH waves being in these BOGO packs.  I was lucky enough to obtain all of the figures from those waves through the BOGO packs at Target.  I wonder if these BOGO packs at TRU will be the same waves...

It would be hella cool if they were figures from the EU wave...  i can dream, right?

I'm curious what the other figures in the set will ultimately turn out to be.  That may be a major reason why they're using the figure they are, as Hasbro's said in the past that sometimes when they put together a pack like this they're limited to the molds they have on-hand for certain figures.

Agreed.  Hasbro saved money by using this guy's outdated mold so they can create an all new tool for Teek!

atleast that is what i hoping for...   ;D

the next new wave is up for pre-order on HTS.  I ordered 1 of all 6 of the new figures.  I woulda ordered a Rhino figure from the Spiderman line had he been in stock but he wasn't - oh well.

I did use thanks10 - remember this is a one time per account code.  I have a few accounts from a few email addresses I use so I was good to go.  basically I ended up only paying about $4.46 more than I would have if I had to search at retail.

Yesterday at Meijer, where all figs are on sale for $6.49 this week, I could have obtained 2 POTF2 AT-ST drivers repacked on Legacy Collection Imperial Scanning Crew card if I wanted to.  I opted to pass.

Also, mysteriously enough, 2 TAC figures were on the pegs - the Lava Miner and the SBD on fire from that wave.

I am also seeing the Krayt waving hitting target - and they are not sitting long at all.

I saw something strange today when I went to the WM one town over (Elkhart, Indiana - you may have heard about them in the news - one of the hardest hit cities in the nation economically).  All three pegs were jam packed with the WM exclusive Rogue squadron pack and Sunbar/Amanamin.  There were also 4 of the Luke in imperial officer disguise packs marked down to $9 in the clearance aisle.

the massive articulated legs on this thing are already impressing me more than the entire Turbo Tank did.

lets just hope the don't buckle and fall off like the original AT-TE...   ;D

I went there over break (I am a teacher) and I kid you not all they had were 2 pegs full of Yarna and a peg filled with Leia/Xizor comic packs.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Hasbro Q&A Sessions

best news out of the QnA, for me atleast, is that a Chukha-Trok sculpt has been made.  Of course though Hasbro has to dish out the bad now a days and go on to say  "that pack has been put by the wayside".

I guess I can still maybe hope for a 2012 release... ::)

edit:  odd that Hasbro didn't mention anything about Kaink.  I asked about all the Ewoks from the Ewok movies a few months back at RS.com and Hasbro said that they were all on the short list.  Perhaps in their neglect to comment on her there could be the possibility she is comming?  I do find that unlikely with the Vintage line just starting - I would not bet against Logray or Wicket for any Ewok slots.

double edit:  Hasbro also mentions a "pack".  So now I gotta wonder, are we talking 2-pack (not likely on a vintage card imo) or an Ewok themed battle pack?...
