What's great is Greivous. :) Liked that... Creepy.
Very cool.
-
Grievous... Grievous. ******* awesome. 8)
I'll be taping the show. ;)
-
I'll be catching 60 Minutes this week, for sure. :)
-
What time does 60 Mins. air on the west coast, like 7pm?
-
How long of a show is 60 Minutes? I need to know so I can set my VCR...
-
It's on for an hour thus gives the show it's name 60 mins. :P
Take away the commercials it's around 50 mins. ::)
I'd set it for the hour. ;)
-
I think he's bustin' our chops, Dale.
I shall watch this.
Kevin
-
Maybe set it for 1 1/2 hours. This might be the extended edition. :D :-*
-
Wait, so it takes you 90 minutes to watch 60 Minutes, DSJ? :P
I'll tape the show, but it's usually boring as hell. Prepare to hit the Fast Forward a bunch.
-
More like 60 seconds, fast forward. ;D
-
Wait, so it takes you 90 minutes to watch 60 Minutes, DSJ? :P
The same amount of time it takes him to set his VCR up. Yikes!
;)

Which VCR, I have 3 Beta's and 6 VHS. :P

If it's an hour long, why don't they call it "An Hour" instead of "60 Minutes"?

OK. Now you're getting complicated. If the show is only 50 minutes long, do you think they meant to call it "50 Minutes" and accidentally hit the "6" instead of the "5" on their keyboard when they were making the first show? Maybe by the time they caught the mistake they were already published in TV Guide or something and it was too late to change it, so they just went with "60 Minutes".
[Yeah, I was kidding. But it's always fun to play. I don't even really use the vcr anymore now that we have ReplayTV.]

We have sort of have our own version of 60 minutes: This Hour Has 22 Minutes (http://www.22minutes.com/index_2.html). ;D
The days of the VCR are coming to an end with the advance of technology.
-
Cool! Can't wait!
-
Most hour long programs, because of commercials, are only about 42 mins or so long.
-
That was...lacking...

I got it as audio only. Anyone else encounter that?
-
Yeah, that was weak alright. Not much at all in the way of new footage really, aside from some early CG work on Grievous. Yawn.
Lucas needs to get some serious liposuction surgery on that waddle thing that hangs below his neck. It's scary looking... :-\
-
Well it looks like the Lucas household gets fed plenty. When you are a billiionaire there should be plenty on the kitchen table.
There were a few new or expanded shots in that show. There was some rough CGI of what looked like either Anakin or Kenobi jumping on something jutting out from a lava bed with the lightsaber ignited. Looks like the duel will feature a lot of hopping on and off of things. Which might be a bit too much IMO. We'll see.
At least we got to see how R2-D2 is going to finish off one of those buzz droids :)
-
Yeah, Lucas' girls are well fed indeed, Brian! :o
So what was up with that clip of Obi and Anakin standing face to face, about a foot or two apart, and just spinning their lightsabers around in circles but not attacking eachother? That's a pretty bizarre scene, unless it serves some kind of purpose or there's some kind of meaning as to why they're not actually fighting...
Anyone have an idea?
-
Did any see the mouse droid? 8)
Seems strange why they did that lightsaber ******* almost like Bruce Lee swinging nanchuckas (sp). Maybe they just want to show who's schwartz is better/bigger! :D

Ever played Chicken?

I think Kev is right, they are trying to not fight. They don't want to do what they are doing
The Lucas family in general needs to mix in a few salads
-

That was my only potential guess as well, was that that was the very beginning, and they were contemplating mixing it up, but trying to refrain. Still, kinda silly looking. Hopefully it translates better into film though...

Anakin has stormed the Jedi Temple, slaughtered those in it, traveled to Mustafar, killed every Seperatist leader, and Force-choked Padme. Why wouldn't he want to fight Obi-Wan?
Someone made a post over at MF (actually a cross-post from CHUD) that made a lot of sense, mentioning that the move was something that experienced swordsmen often do, a sort of "feeling out" of the opponent, especially when they're too close to come to blows. They spin their swords, learning how the opponent will attempt to counter, and find a move to come out of the spin with to attack. Well, something like that. Made sense when I read it, and I'll stick to that until I see the scene in context. :)
-
Same with chicken. You see who will move first.

Maybe it's like a pre-match warmup that Jedi? I dunno. I thought it was a bit odd.
