Gas Prices

Gas prices suck all over!!

What gets me the most is the constant and drastic changes in the price.

$0.10 from the price it was in the morning.

Here is Ottawa we have banded together.

There is a web site (you can view it on your WAP enabled mobile phone too)  www.ottawagasprices.com

You can go there and find the lowest reported prices across the city.

Kinda neat, but relies on people reporting low prices.

Scott :)

We have a web site here too for Edmonton. Not really up to date so far!  :-\

edmontongasprices.com

Morgbug:
We have a site like that too, but it seldom gets updated, so...

Already dropping here in Winnipeg.  As low as $0.745 but most are at $0.774.

It's kind of funny to watch the scene in the US where people are still unimpressed by a $0.05 a Gallon.  Canadians are so complacent we get mildly irritated by what amounts to $0.40 a gallon increases. :o

Thank goodness for Safeway and they're $0.07 off coupons :)

You have a place that gives you gas discount coupons???

Man, I wish we had that in Ottawa :(

Scott

Morgbug:
Yep, maybe two years ago Safeway opened gas bars.  They started with an automatic 3.5 cent a litre discount so if it says 79.5 it's really 76.0.  Pretty cool.

Even better though are their double discounts, ramping it up to 7 cents a litre.  The problem is you never know which store is giving them out and they always expire either that day or the next at most.  Completely lucked out with both vehicles near empty and two coupons on Wednesday.  It was like gas never went up at all.  And if it can creep back down to normal by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, it'll be like it never happened. ;D
