The Sequel Trilogy / Re: The Force Awakens Trailers

Has this already been discussed, but is there going to be any place for Lando in E7?  Or is Finn his long lost son from a late night hookup with the Tonnika sisters?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Everything eBay! Scams, questions, etc...

BIN on eBay is so random.  I try it fairly often, but get declined 90% of the time.  Its still worth a try as a lot of people have things marked up too high.  Even when you point out recent sales equal to your offer they generally ignore your offer.

Amazon Marketplace is a complete crapshoot as far as I'm concerned and I am as careful buying stuff there as I am on eBay.  I've had stuff that I purchased that has never shown up.  I've had orders cancelled by the sellers since they didn't actually have the item.  (seriously- WTF?  I bitched to Amazon about this.  People should not be "selling" things on Amazon that they don't actually have in their hands).

The upside is that Amazon has always been really good about the failed orders and has always taken my side, not that I've ever had any jerks that I've had to deal with from sellers.  They freely admit when they haven't delivered.

I will say I've never had a seller ask me to cancel the order.  I would put that on them.  I'm guessing it comes down to how Amazon rates them internally on their ability to fulfill orders.  Make them pay for their non-delivery.

Is anyone aware of any differences as it relates to Star Wars Disney Infinities?  Or are they essentially the same on all consoles?

I also saw these a few days ago at TRU along with the 6" scale TIE Fighter. I believe it had a price sticker of $110 but I could be wrong.

The MF is $112 online at TRU.com (the TIE isn't listed online).

Watto's Junk Yard / Gaming System Recommendations?
« on: November 4, 2015, 12:18 PM »
I need the advice from some gaming experts on what new gaming system to get for the family.

I've got a hand me down original Wii that the kids use from time to time.  Based on feedback it doesn't sound like getting a Wii U is a good option if I want to continue to play these games.  It seems like it makes more sense just to keep the legacy Wii and keep using that in parallel with whatever new system I get.

My kids are 8, 6, and 6.  I'm most interested in the new Star Wars Disney Infinities game, and more younger kid oriented games.  I'm not a gamer myself.  Ideally this is a system that would last a good handful of years, but I don't foresee this being the system they use extensively for teenager/adult games.

Thoughts on the best/cheapest system?  Should I buy new or pick up a used system?  I want this for Christmas, but was wondering if there is a best time to get the best deals - e.g. Black Friday.

Has this showed up at Target yet?  Anybody know what the DCPI# is?

How did that happen?  Your wall of vintage figures are all in clamshells.  Did he drop the clamshell and the bubble still busted?

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Scale Vehicles, A Fool's Dream?

The one big ticket item I might bite on would be a Sandcrawler with 6" scale Jawas.  I know it would be huge, but that's the one big vehicle I could see clearing out space to display and really forking over some big money for.

Only if they make an army of new droids to go with it.  I would love the Jawa droid sale scene as well.

Last night's episode wasn't terribly interesting either, and now I'm extra annoyed at the 15 minutes wasted on worm hunting in the first episode.

I would have thought there would be a lot of more interesting stories they could have written about bringing Rex and the crew back in to the fold.  Overall I'm a little disappointed with the start of Season 2 (not counting the summer episode with Darth Vader - that was awesome).

The kids and I will be doing a home marathon - watching one flick each Saturday night starting 11/7 and then seeing Ep7 on Saturday 12/19.  (yes, including 1-2-3 since they actually like the prequels).

We'll be doing the same, but I think we'll skip 1-3.  I think they're relevant to the 4-6 story line, but I'm not sure how relevant they are to the 7+ story line.

I can't remember the last EE exclusive that sold out quickly.  Five packs of unique R2 droids about 10 years ago?

I'm guessing you'll be safe waiting until Dec 17th to make your decision.

Anybody found a place to buy The Force Awakens theatrical release poster yet?  I did some surfing this morning and couldn't find any retailer for this yet.

I miss the old days of ShopStarWars.com where you could easily pick all of the teaser posters and theatrical posters up without any hassle.

I was thinking about how the 501st clones said they were "de-commissioned".

I haven't kept up with all the comics and books, but has it been explained how/why the clones got de-commissioned and Stormtroopers became regularly recruited/conscripted people?

Don't get me wrong about Rebels - I love the show and love the fact that there is Star Wars stuff that I can watch with my 5-8 year old kids.

I still won't let them watch most episodes of TCW.

I loved last season and thought the Vader episode to start the season was awesome.  I just thought this week's show was kind of weak and the worm fishing story line was a waste of time.
