The only surgery I've ever had was on my jaw after a car accident. I had my Jaw wired shut for about a month. My goodness, the things you can eat through a straw.  :o

Yes, me, I had my appendix out, that SUCKED!

Speaking of which, anyone care to place bets as to where I am this very minute?  Yep, typing this from a post-op hospital bed following an emergency appendectomy.  Worst 2 days of my life...   >:(

Serious?  Holy crap Matt I hope all is well and a speedy recovery to you.  Did you get cut or did they do it with a scope?

Got scoped, which fortunately worked just fine (or I would`ve had to get sliced).  Still hurts like a b!tch, despite my fun little morphine shooter.   8)

This TV/internet/radio/movies/games monitor thingee is pretty cool though...  Probably stuck here for a couple more days, unfortunately.   :-\

Speedy recovery wishes sending your way Matt....heck, we even had a light dusting of snow overnight so I'll send you that too and you can pack it around the incision ;).

PS:  and now that I read this, the little morphine drip quip in the birthday thread makes more sense :-*.

That's 4 SW Forumites in 3 months who have had that little bugger taken out...the odds of that happening have to be astronomical

So Matt, did you have a side ache, fever, nausea, vomiting etc?

Good thing you got scoped too, my scar/side STILL hurts and its been 3 months since the operation

Enjoy the Morphine and make sure you ask for some Beth Farve Pills too (Vicodin)

Wow.  I like the SSW.com curse better than this one.  Speedy recovery Matt.

I guess you and Scott will be comparing scars in Indy :-X

Wasn't online this weekend, so sorry this is a little late....but hope everything is going great with you Matt (with both your appendectomy, as well as your father-in-law).  Best wishes and God bless.

Yow - glad you were able to keep that under control during our get together. I hate to clean up other people's burst body parts.

Seriously, I hope you have a fast recovery. In the meantime, sounds appropriate to get other people to watch the stores for you.  :-*
