Title: Will you get the KBToys Imperial Shuttle?
Post by: Angry Ewok on June 5, 2003, 04:14 PM: I kept my word and said I'd never buy that Shuttle from FAO, but I never said I wouldn't buy it from KB's... ;)... The price is still ridiculously high, but who else is actually considering buying this thing if/when they see it in KB's?

I suppose there's a chance, small chance, that the price tag may be dropped down... If I saw this thing for $50, I'd definately get it. I'm still unsure if I would shell out the current asking price, though.

I never liked the thought of buying a ship that huge to be shipped to me in the mail, but if one shows up at my local toy store, I don't know if I can resist the urge to take it home with me (it'll depend what my wallet says at the time, I'm sure).

It's just THAT good IMHO.

If you don't have it yet, I highly recommend you pick it up. VERY cool looking. Plus it's huge.

No Star Wars collector should be without this prize.

Looks like it'll be $99.99, based on the price at their website here. (http://www.kbtoys.com/genProduct.html/PID/2360439/ctid/17/ls/default?_e=3edfd&_v=3EDFDD33byAeaF0374FCC725) $15 surcharge for the online orders (due to the size), but if they do show up in the actual KB stores, and you can save on this surcharge, and the shipping fees, that's not too bad. Still pretty pricey though, of course, but better than FAO's price!

Entertainment Earth has had the Shuttle up on their site for a while now as well (for pre-order). It'll run you a little more at $110 though. (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HS32487)... I'm sure there'll be some lucky folks around the country who score these things at some real nice KB sale prices, but you just never know...

You know, 6 months ago when this was an exclusive...I would have said you're nuts, but now that it's finally going to Kaybee....you may be rewarded for waiting if it warms the shelves.

Then again, it may sell out quickly.

I suppose it's anyone's guess these days.

Like others have said, if it was $50, I'd pick it up. Just a little too pricey for me, but if it somehow gets reduced or clearanced....I'd be out looking :).
