Title: Cantina Aliens
Post by: Padawan Wagaboodles on February 16, 2004, 09:33 PM
Of the 3 truly released Cantina Aliens, what do you think of their sculpts?

Hammerhead is basically the same scupt as the POTF2 version (with suble differences in the tunic), but I think the paint of the POTF2 version is better.

I am glad that they did Ponda Baba with a severed arm (not that I'm morbid, but since we're getting decapitated versions of other figures, I'm glad this one came about).

Overall I think these were a hprrible decision by Hasbro based on the rehashing they did with the figures.  If they had offered three all new figures with weapons included, and a "U" piece as well, they would have done much better.

I've got a soft spot for Ithorians.

Other than that, I had no use for that wave.

I actually only purchased Greedo. I think that Greedo is the best one we've ever had, and probably will ever have. I could have gotten the others - but I really didn't feel like paying several bucks for just a cantina-slab when there'd never be a U-shaped piece to complete it all.
