Famke Jennson

Even though I always thought she was a beautiful woman, after seeing X2, I love her even more.  She was extremely hot in that movie.

I'm just ticked I can't look at it anymore at Wal Mart, Target is a long way away from me,

How much does a subscription cost MikeyD?

For a first time subscriber, its probably a $1 an issue to hook in you, but once you renew the price goes up to like $17 a year, which is still a hell of lot better than the $5 an issue at the newstands.  Next time your perusing one at the store, take the subscription card and send that bad boy in.

While I would love a The Hobbit movie, it won't happen until at least another 3+ years while Jackson remakes King Kong

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The frustrations of home buying...
« on: May 8, 2003, 06:53 AM »
I'm not quite to that point yet, Matt.  The wife and I live in a suburb of Boston and have rented for years.  The real estate in Massachusetts is so bad (overpriced POS houses that I wouldn't even think of living in) that we've decided to move out of state to New Jersey (where I was born).  We are looking in South Jersey near Philadelphia and will probably make the move in September.  I'm lucky that my parents have offered to let us live with them for a few months while we settle into new jobs and look for a home of our own.

All I can say is keep with it and good luck to you and the Mrs.  ;D

Scott, I'll keep my eyes open for those three.  How anal are you about appearance.  Do they have to be super shiny just off the mint or can they show a little usage?

It shouldn't be a problem with all three, but 'Bama might take a little longer.  I just recently acquiried mine.

I don't collect these figs but love the Muppets.  I will however buy a Sweetums figure if he's ever released.

Well I found him.

Go to Scotts Red 6 link and look under Imperial Commanders.  His name is Commander Nement, complete with picture.

Although it doesn't say who played him, its obviously my main man Bakula.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: KEBco Toys Question
« on: May 7, 2003, 07:45 AM »
I too just recently joined the OoEF club and so far am satisfied.  My first shipment was the two speeder bikes and Leia and Vader redux Unleashed.  I received them about two weeks after placing the order.  Excellent shipping and packing.

My next order hasn't shipped yet because I'm having them hold figures until more figures come in.  My next order should have the flying R2, Mace, Han, Chewie and deluxe Spider Droid.

When and if you sign up, you don't have to get every figure.  I had already signed up for a case with Aayla, Barris, Yoda and the padawans from newforce and didn't want doubles, so I just left the qty. 0.  No problems, but every new figure I'll get from Kebco hassle free.  They automatically update your order when new figs are announced.  I'm already on order for the Clone Wars vehicles.

They do charge your CC 50% when a new order is placed and when new items are added, but everything is laid out nicely on your account status page.

He was the officer who, after the Millenium Falcon grapple hooked to the Star Destroyer, said "There not on our scopes" or something to that affect.  I'm pretty sure that's the scene, but I haven't seen ESB is awhile, so I could be off a little.  He's sitting in the recessed commucations area and looks up to his commanding officer.

Scott, with your bootleg DVDs, would you care to take a look to confirm this for us? Thanks.

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
« on: May 6, 2003, 02:24 PM »
Wish this was coming out to PS2.  I can't say anything else about it but that.

Agreed, but with rumors of a GC price drop, I might have to pick one up.  This game would be at the top of my buy list (along with RSII)

Other Collectibles / Re: Who wants more Unleashed?!?!
« on: May 6, 2003, 02:16 PM »
I wasn't into this line until I saw the original Vader.  Now I have them all and am really looking forward to the rest, especially that uber-cool Palpatine.

My wish list:

1.  Chewbacca "howling mad" style
2.  Gamorrean Guard
3.  Tusken Raider
4.  Stormtrooper
5.  Clonetrooper

While I do belive we'll get a Chewie and possibly a storm and clonetrooper, I doubt we'll see any of the secondary characters.  I believe Hasbro will stick to main characters, in which case, this line won't last as long I as hope it does.

Wow, ten for ESB is tough considering my love for droids and weird and wacky aliens.  My list is also based on the rumour that my #1 choice (Riekkan) is coming and we'll get R3-A2 in the Hoth 4 pack.

Anywho, here it goes:

1.  Major Bren Derlin, who knows everyone's name on Hoth
2.  Toryn Farr
3.  General Veers pre-Hoth invasion
4.  R-3PO with authentic "Thank the Maker" tatoo on his ass
5.  Ice Cream Maker Guy, just for you Scott ;)
6.  Cloud Car pilot but only if Hasbro releases something for him to fly (hint, hint Hasbro)
7.  Treva Horme, although I've never this alien in the movie this list would be mighty boring without her.
8.  Utris M'Toc, the Star Trek wannabe.  See #7 for comments
9.  non "Saturady Night Live" Lobot

Hmmm, looking at my list, I've only determined nine.  I know who I want, but since I'm too lazy to look up his name, I'll give you the actor's name.  Are you ready?  Why we don't have a figure of him yet, I have no idea.  I present you my #10 choice, the most obscure character played by a well known actor in the OT:

10.  Scott Bakula's Imperial.  That's right, the star of Quantum Leap and Necessary Roughness.  Its gold baby, I'm telling you!  Nobody would pass him up.  Get to work Hasbro.

« on: May 6, 2003, 01:41 PM »
I just had a brain fart and started a new thread before I saw this one >:(

Its about friggin time.  November is going to be a great month with Indy and LOTR:TTT extended DVDs coming out.  I can't wait.

And MisterPL, other than restoration and sound, no other changes have been made (ala guns erased in ET)

Stuff and FHM also will not be sold there.

It doesn't bother me because I subscribe to all three, which is cheaper, I don't have to go to the store to get it, don't worry about missing an issue and actually receive it approximately a week before newstands do.  Good deal in my book  ;D
