Oh we're doing this again, okay I'll play, but quite a few that have come out were pretty disappointing so I hope if they do make these, they are done well.  In general I think armoured or mechanical figures translate better in this scale.

R1-G9
Imperial Naval Trooper
Imperial Gunner (either of these Imps could be easily pooched if the Pilot is any indication of what we can expect from their jumpsuits)
Ree Yees
Gonk Droid
Jawa (should be pretty hard to screw this up)
4-LOM
Death Star Droid

I just hope this kind of sudden character infusion doesn't hold us back from getting 6" stuff like Bib Fortuna, Dengar, Zuckuss, etc sooner rather than (years) later. At this rate it's going to take a long time to get through just the key OT characters.

If 7+ years of hot active Prequel merchandise hell taught us anything, yes expect delays in your favourite background characters favour the new flavour of the hour they'll be hustling.

FX-7 stands head and shoulders above everything else and despite all those arms she doesn't even have shoulders (yes I always thought of FX as girl).

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I think that I'm ready to tap out on the spoilers.  The more I hear from the cast about maintaining the element of surprise, the more I think that's the way to go.

I mildly paid attention to TPM spoilers, so when I saw the movie, it sucked but I still enjoyed the experience.

For AOTC I stayed completely spoiler free and the shock was so severe when I saw that smoldering pile of ****, it threw me right off EVERYTHING Star Wars for like 2 years.

For ROTS, I mildly paid attention to spoilers and again, while it sucked, I was still able to enjoy the experience.  I am not going to go out of my way to remain spoiler free for Ep7, I'm like a goldfish that way I suppose, I require a bit of time to acclimatize myself.

Nice.  Thanks for bringing this back to finish it off. My favorite feature of the last few years.

Stormtroopers are the same height as Vader.  Medicom, again WTH? Swing and miss.

Well here is a map from their website:  http://www.1919rootbeer.com/availability/

Or you could possibly find a website like this that prices pop like single malt scotch.  http://www.sodafinder.com/collections/all/01regular (sorry they don't stock 1919).

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2013 Wave 2
« on: May 12, 2014, 08:57 PM »
Finally was able to find Boba at local retail today.  After all that wait, figure did not live up to expectations, don't get me wrong, still a very good figure but did not blow me away.  He's got some real posability issues with his weapon. When I got the Sandtrooper, it totally blew me away, even though it had some minor paint issues, I was totally stoked to make those quick fixes to let the figure shine.  Don't know what I could do to improve Boba.  With that said, I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on some Stormtroopers at some point.

If you are looking to unload a Stormtrooper with a "defective paint job,"  I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

Yeah if it gets delivered to the wrong address it will still show as delivered.  What you need to do is request a POD (proof of Delivery), if a signature was required, and it wasn't you that signed for it, you can say so.  Otherwise,  it goes back to the driver's word on what happened.

Beautiful.  Looks perfect to me.  Shut up and take my money.

***Edit*** Where are the Accessories?  Would have liked to have seen them being held in the figs hand.  Even still looks great.  Can't wait.

From what I've heard the Black Pauldron Sandtrooper is a straight repaint with the  same accessories.  The funny thing is the colored part of the pauldron was an insert and the black ones were just missing them.  The original pauldron has the insert and has been sculpted correctly for a colored pauldron, but not for the black one.

Darth Vader and Luke look good compared to 3 3/4" but compared to the high end 12" lack a good deal of realism as to be expected.  I am very interested to see them in person.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Darth Malgus - an Old Republic Vader?
« on: February 13, 2014, 10:14 AM »
Whenever I see Darth Malgus, I can't help but see his mouthpiece being made from a repurposed protective cup in the long ILM tradition of using existing earth objects in new ways, eg. 2-1B's microphone mouth, the camera flash rod light saber hilts, etc.  Seriously how many kids has this character caused to run around with a jock stap on their head breathing in their older brother's junk funk?

That sounds great.  I would find it immensely amusing if Disney went back and undid George's irritating revisionist improvements and tweaks.  Clone voice Boba, scrap the SE Max Rebo band, Darth's Noooooo, etc.
