As revealed on the Disney Parks Blog today, a new Droid Factory set is being released on September 30. It's a 4-pack featuring droids from the movie: C2-B5, R2-BHD, R3-M2, and R5-SK1.

IIRC, Phruby isn't able to help us out with these anymore, so I guess it's time to download the Disney Parks app or wait for someone else to make a trip to Disneyland/world. :P

The Original Trilogy / Boba Fett - ROTJ Big Baddie?

Lucasfilm Veteran Reveals Details on Original ROTJ Plans

Apparently ROTJ was originally supposed to deal solely with rescuing Han from Jabba, with Boba Fett being the big baddie of the film. Then we would have gotten Episodes 7-9 which would have been Luke taking down Vader and Palpatine. Pretty interesting stuff!

The Black Series 6" Figures / 6" Black Series - Rogue One Wave 1

Rumored Rogue One Wave 1 Lineup for Force Friday '16

Quote
Rey / BB-8 (Re-Pack)
Kylo Ren (new mold)
Rogue One: Jyn Erso
Rogue One: Stormtrooper
Medical Droid
Rogue One: "Seal Team Male" - Forest Whitaker's character

I'll wait to decide on these when (if  ::)) pics leak out, but already owning three of these figures doesn't exactly make me want to rush out at midnight to fight 15 people over 2 cases again.

LEGO / Minifigures Series 14
« on: September 9, 2015, 12:03 PM »
These are hitting stores now, I saw a bunch at Target. These are the Monster/Halloween themed minifigures and are very cool.

Snagged a few randomly at Target last night and ended up with the Grey Cloaked Ghost, Skeleton Trick or Treater and Cat Costume Girl. Can't wait to pick up more of these. I can easily see them making a Julie Newmar Catwoman with the Cat girl's new headpiece.

Special downloadable versions of both X-Wing and Tie Fighter will soon be released on Good Old Games. They'll be $10 each.

For that price you're getting not just the special editions of the games (which had slightly higher resolutions and improved sound, as well all of both games' expansions), but more importantly they'll be editions of the games that will run on a modern PC without the need to tinker.

I don't think I've played these games in around 15 years so I'm definitely in.

MTV has revealed the first 2015 LEGO Star Wars set, the Wookiee Gunship

75084 Wookiee Gunship
Protect Wullffwarro and his Jedi friend, Kanan Jarrus, with the powerful LEGOŽ Star Wars Wookiee Gunship. As featured in the Star Wars: Rebels animated TV series, this amazing battle-ready craft has loads of weapons to see off any invading force, like movable front cannons and an elevating top cannon. When the action really heats up, raise the wings into attack mode and unleash the never-before-seen rapid shooters! If you run low on ammo, open the side hatches to access the spare supply, then lower the rear bay door and unload the mobile gun post. Includes 4 minifigures with assorted weapons: Wullffwarro, Kanan Jarrus and 2 Wookiees. Available January 2015, 570 pieces, $69.99.

I'm guessing this is something from the Rebels cartoon?

Star Wars Universe / Disney to Purge Select EU
« on: January 12, 2014, 05:53 PM »
So according to this article, Disney is going to spend the next several weeks and months trimming the fat off the EU, so to speak, by reorganizing what is and is not canon.

I think this is a good idea for the most part. I'm only familiar with a few items from the EU but a lot of it was pretty dumb from what I've read on Wookieepedia (Clone Emperor, Ken Palpatine, Yuzzhan Vong, etc). On the other hand if they decide to axe stuff like Thrawn, Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Squadron and KOTOR I'll be a little bummed since those were pretty good EU projects and seem to be enjoyed by pretty much all Star Wars fans.

Any specific EU you want Disney to axe or keep around?
