I sent them a link to that thread and requested that I get one of the returned items ::)  I'm not holding my breath, but we'll see.

My basic view is that none of the screw ups from the re-opening are litigible, as were potential credit card issues.  As a result, they really don't give a crap about losing a few customers from what they view are minor issues.

Essentially they are correct, I am, in the grand scheme of SSW.com, irrelevant.  My money won't mean a drop in the bucket to them.

Still, I'm going to wait and see what happens.  I've been printing off everything I have from them and what I've sent.  This includes the orders that changed during processing etc.  At the very least I will report them to the better business bureau in the US, or whatever the suitable agency is.

It probably doesn't help that I'm in Canada and a little easier to pass off either. :-\

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your e-mail. We will be happy to credit your order. Please send us
your certificate number.
As for the double shipment issue, this was with a handful of orders and items
shipped was not extra inventory. The items are allocated to existing orders.
There may be some inventory of the Vader Cinemacast  that will open up to the
general site after after March 10th orders that were reclaimed have been
fulfilled. Please check StarWarsShop.com at the end of this week.

Sincerely,
Christine

I got my Adventure Kermit yesterday, along with the free cards and patches.  I ordered it last Wednesday, and got it a week later, with no problems...so I can't complain.  One interesting note though, the FedEx guy actually had two of them delivered to me (packaged seperately), and had a note that one was to be sent back.  I had to refuse delivery for the second one, and sent it back to Lucasfilm (or SWShop).  I only ordered one the whole time (didn't get an order placed the first time around), and was only charged for one, but for some reason I was sent two.  So, there should be another Kermit headed back to stock for anyone who might need it ;).  Other than that though, transaction went very smoothly...I hope things turn for the better for those of you who have had troubles.

They really, REALLY need to work out the bugs in their system.

There are multiple reports all over the place of multiple shipments.  It's no wonder they're running out of stock.  Beth and others received multiple cinemacast Vader statues, sort of explaining why I couldn't get one.  Beth was kind enough to offer me her second, but a little $850 catalytic converter surprise yesterday made me pass.

I think SSW.com sabotaged my car :-*

I wonder what will happen once the Bust start to ship out.  THis place needs too do something to fix these problems now or else LUcas Films may get in over its head.

Get this.  Since I refused to give back the first one I got on Tuesday (how the hell was I to know I was getting another one on Wednesday), I have been notified that I have to pay to ship the second one back.  Like bloody hell will I pay to send back THEIR error.  I told Fedex I never opened it as I guessed at it's contents so I am awaiting AGAIN for another email from SWS.com as to the next step.
I did have others PM me to see if they could buy it but I have no idea how SWS.com will handle charging me in the first place (I am envisioning multiple charges on my credit card) so I am just trying to send it back.  What a mess....

PS:  I think this your car was sending us a message Brent, this transaction would have been a fiasco!!!
Beth

They want you to pay to ship the other one back & its there fault! Time for another...

I would mark it "Return To Sender" & if they charge you for shipping it back after they get it, then thats Fraud! What a load of crap!
