I made these two back when I thought I might be good at customizing... As you can see, I'm not too good. Simple re-paints of the Rocket-Booster R2 from TPM's $2 clearance days.
First is a blue droid, which I'd want if I was a charactor in Star Wars, and the second is a red droid similar to that on-board Padme's ship...

The blue one is.... OK. The red one looks very good though. I have yet to do a custom figure, but you're way ahead of me. I plan on trying the customizing one of these days.

They look nice Brad. I have a ton of Astromech customs that I should take some shots of. Getting thos details though can be a bugger. I find if I paint the arms and crevices first and then do a paint over of the body it works the best.

Those look cool Brad. Like I have mentioned, I don't do customs myself but I enjoy when others make them. :)
Very nice.

Customizing astromechs has always been a problem with me. I never like the end product but someday I will persist & try again. Looks like a great effort, they can be tough to do.

They look pretty good to me, I'll bet there harder to paint than they look !!(http://mysmilies.no-ip.com/mysmilies/gruebel.gif)
