Star Wars Universe / Re: Star Wars Movie Spin-Offs?

Bossk's Bungalow... that could be a reality show.  What the Bounty Hunter does on his time off... might have to be on Skinemax though.

Saga Legends / Re: Saga Legends "Mission Series" Figure 2-Packs

If they are going with a 3.75" figure and accessory type (like the IT-O), then maybe they'll have the Battle Droid and PK Droid or FA-4 (unless they release a Dooku).

Make it the Greatest line ever?  Why the debut of the Tonnika Sisters of course!  Those would be the ultimate "15th Cantina Guy".  ;)

Well, they said who wants the "15th Cantina Guy" but they said nothing about the 3 or so Cantina Gals that have yet to be made.  ;D

A higher price point would kill it for me.  I'm already just getting OT figures at higher prices if I can't find them in store and falling back on secondary stores like 5 Below (with some help from friends) to get PT ones or if I don't find it I can live without it.  I don't mind lower PoA.  Not all figures need to be super articulated anyways...maybe the main heroes and villains and troopers, secondary to background figures can be less-so.

Joe Defender / Re: Questions for Toy Fair

Is it too late to throw some Star Wars inquiries your way?

Not at all.  You can post them in the Toy Fair thread for Star Wars or PM them to me.  I just wanted to make sure Joes got their voices hear (or Transformers, etc).

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: A 6" Exclusive for SDCC 2013?
« on: January 31, 2013, 03:51 PM »
Another one it could be is Wedge... he seems to always be an exclusive (save for the TVC version) or chase figure.  And the X-Wing pilot gear will be ready being that Luke will be done.

I'm on the fence with these.  I really shouldn't, but I'm leaning towards picking up a couple OT ones.  It's a slippery slope, much like it was when I got addicted to Crackbricks... wanted Bounty Hunters and Vader, but then I realized they need some heroes, so I pick up those.  Then you've got troopers and Greedo, etc.  It's downhill from there.

Anybody have some questions for Hasbro for Toy Fair?  Submit them here and I'll see what I can do.

Heck, why not an ESB Bounty Hunter collection.  But early bird would be a nice nod.

It's a bad situation and you're right: how do you stop it?  You can't train every employee to be knowledgeable for the thousands of toys in their aisles.  That be insane...

I guess that's an interesting point that you make, Darby.  These figures are designed for us, the collector, where as the 4" line is being aimed at kids.  So, I guess the collector is expected to support a new line with a price point that a majority feel is out of their range.  It makes me wonder if Hasbro is really listening to the collector as most have been asking for lower prices and the obscure 15th alien cantina patron.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Rumor: No more 3D Prequel Releases?
« on: January 29, 2013, 05:05 PM »
Like most of you, I would love to take my daughter to the theater and enjoy the movies with her...3-D or not.  She just turned 4 and has seen all 6 movies and loves A New Hope.  It's the one she always requests (the one where they jump in the garbage) behind Empire (she wants to see the turtles (AT-ATs) and "I'm your father").  After watching these with her after a long time of not seeing them all together, the Prequels have a lot of violence and scary parts than the OT, where the violence is quick or death is essentially a TIE fighter or X/Y-Wing blowing up.  And I always feel a sense of adventure in the OT where the heroes don't look for action, it comes to them and they respond to adversity.
