A new rumored item from the gang at RS (from a SKN# in the TRU computer):
059737 - $6.99 Holographic Gen Grievous
Let the "lame variant of a lame animated figure" complaining begin! :P

I like Evenflow's thinking... At least it's $6.99 instead of $7.99 or worse. Thank god for small favors I guess.

A holographic Grievous makes a lot of sense actually. A holographic animated figure I'm a little more wary of.

I wonder if they're going to start taking the approach that they did with the Iron Man figures.
Target (and I think TRU) has an Exclusive Iron Man figure, but it's packaged in a manner identical to the regular line and the only way you can really tell that it's an exclusive is that it has a sticker on it that reads "Only at Target". I wonder if for the Clone Wars, there will be exclusive figures to the big box stores and they'll just get mixed in with the regular assortments, this Holo Grievous being the TRU one.

Yep... maybe that means the whole line really isn't jumping in price by a buck.
I've seen that the Indy figures too are going to be $6.99 (I think).

There was a DPCI that popped up for a Target exclusive "Clone Commander Fox" figure and as we know, a separate DPCI means it's not part of the regular assortment.

Funny charge that on the clam shelled figures when they only charge $9.99 on the end cap stuff (Order 66, Joe Vehicles, Transformers).
I always pass on their $12.99 exclusives anyway though because almost all of them have been lame.

I am very Saddened it's not a Shadow style figure too.
I can see this figure getting a price adjustment like the Y-Wing and Tie Fighter shortly after it's release.They started out at $29.99 then they bumped the price up. A price that low could also mean this figure is free if you spend enough loot on SW **** like ROTS when you got the Yoda Holo but you can also buy him separately. I wish they would stop the gummi bear holographic figures once and for all. The OTC Ben Kenobi and saga Luke, even the TAC Spirit Anakin look pretty good for what they are.
The solid blue like Holo Vader is a waste of shelf space. Just my opinion. (I also think the entire animated figure line is a waste of shelf space too!)

Lot of whamies for me - animated, holographic, prequel character... but the swappable arm feature is kind of cool.

That is the case.
I plan on spending several hundred there. I'm hoping to make many purchases and get several free Greivous this way. I'll use some for trade, what's left will be donated to charity from my extras.

Clone Wars handbook confirms the free with $30 purchase at TRU. You could probably just buy the figure outright at TRU.com for $9.99. They did this last time with holo Emporer.

In my case, as mentioned I'll trade for other figures with the extras I have. That will SAVE other people the trouble of waiting to order later if even made available, or having to buy $30 of stuff they might not otherwise want to do. I don't expect too many people to want to trade for this though, so I expect to be donating the majority of extras.
