RIP Rodney.

"Hey everybody, we're going to get laid"

"Great teacher.  He really cares.  About what, I have no idea"

"Hey don't knock Vanessa.  She gives great headache"

And one of my alltime favs - "Bring a pitcher off beer every seven minutes until someone passes out.  Then bring one every ten"

One of my all-time faves. His performance in Natural Born Killers will forever be as creepy as it has always been underrated. Even when he was cast in awful movies, he was still funny. And he smoked weed every day and lived to be 82 years old.

Quote
I haven't spoken to my wife in years. I didn't want to interrupt her.

A girl phoned me the other day and said "Come on over, there's nobody home." I went over. Nobody was home.

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.

My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.

My wife is always trying to get rid of me. The other day she told me to put the garbage out. I said to her I already did. She told me to go and keep an eye on it.

My wife's jealousy is getting ridiculous. The other day she looked at my calendar and wanted to know who May was.

When I was a kid my parents moved a lot, but I always found them. [/quote

Oh man, I love those one liners.  Heheh.  I can quote Caddyshack all day long too.  Rodney Dangerfield AND Ted Knight - what a classic combo.

"Hey, you wanna make 14 dollars, the hard way?"

And don't forget Rodney's other, hipper contributions:

'Superman' star Christopher Reeve dead at 52

When I saw Superman back in the theater in 1978, when he caught Lois lane & the helicopter, I will always remember this line:

"I know you're holding me but who's holding you?"

From that moment, I knew he really could fly.

We were very sad to hear this news this morning.  It kind of caught us off guard as well.  I was always hoping to see him walk again some day, and really felt that we would.  One of my childhood heroes, and I believe he was a hero in real life as well.

I can remember soon after we moved to our new house when I was around 4 my Aunt called my Mom and asked her if I would go see Superman with her.  It was one of the last naps I can remember my mom making me take and I can still remember standing in line outside the theater with my Aunt and the awe I had in the movie.  He was Superman for our generation...

How ironic is it that he didn't die soon after his accident and he was able to live the last 9 years fighting for Stem Cell and Paralysis research?  How much money did he raise to fight that battle?  Thanks for the memories Christopher, you will be missed :'(

Christopher Reeve was a childhood idol of mine since I laid eyes on the first Superman movie. After the tradgic horse back riding accident in 1995, Christopher Reeve became a real inspiration to everyone, by eventually gaining 70% of feeling in his body, and staying physicaly fit with the help of his wife, doctors, and electrodes to stimulate his muscles. In 1997 Chris Reeve won several awards for his film about paralysis. Christopher Reeve worked so hard, and stayed true to his values. He truely was Superman.

Rest in peace, Superman. You will be missed.  :'(
