I found these listings on Hasbro's Customer Service page:

Notable are the 6-inch Jabba the Hutt and 6-inch Speeder Bike listings. The Speeder Bike was previously confirmed, but could Jabba be a cancelled or unannounced item?
-
Great work Greg...I'd love love love to have a 6" Jabba
-
Jabba isn't cancelled... I can attest to that. Not yet. :-X ;)
-
Oh man, I'm totally down for Jabba, provided he comes with his dais.
-
Pumped for Jabba!
-
I have to admit, Jabba was one of the larger things I thought they might get to eventually in this line (if successful), but it is a little surprising that it might be on the way next year. I hope all these rumors today are true, because it sounds pretty great. I wonder if we will get the dais and all the trimmings (similar to the last 3 3/4" version), and if so, what it will cost.
-
How much was 3.75" Jabba w/Dais? I forget now... I'd say double that if it's a set like that? Seems sort of likely.
-
I'd actually dig a new Jabba...

I believe the Wal-Mart Jabba was $35-$40. If the dais is too expensive for this 6-inch release, a carbonite Han accessory along with Salacious mini-fig would suffice.

See, the dais interests me for purely nostalgic reasons - don't care a bit for yet another carbonite block.

They did promise that both halves of the SDCC exclusive set would be available down the line... so re-releasing the Carbonite block with a Jabba makes a ton of sense.
That said, Jabba without the dais would be a huge mistake.
-
This seems like something that would be an exclusive somewhere, hopefully not Amazon or K-Mart. Wally, Target, or TRU would be ideal though. That's gonna be a big hunk of plastic.
-
As noted, Jabba IS coming. :)
As is the Speederbike w/Scout, which sounds pretty impressive as a display piece itself.
That said, no Dais was shown with Jabba... I figured Jabba wasn't going to come with one. It's just not feasible cost-wise, though the devil on my shoulder did mention one was designed/mocked up. So in theory the idea was there at least, but the cost was prohibitive for such a thing to actually happen.
That said, I have no doubts 6" Jabba will be impressive all by himself.
No dais though....... yet. :D
-
There were hints that a Dais/Salacious Crumb type set could come in the future, but not right now.
Wave 1 - Speederbike with Scout Trooper and Dais-less Jabba the Hutt.
Wave 2 - Beast/Creature focused, to be revealed at SDCC!
Lots of hints on a trooper-less Dewback and some type of Tauntaun/Rider sets, but nothing confirmed.
Also, the price point for this line is, as expected, $40. Like Jesse said, Jabba with Dais was in the $60-80 range and they were worried no one would carry it outside of an exclusive, but they need numbers to tool it so doing it as an exclusive was out which meant no dais for now.
It makes me kind of wonder - how many folks are really going to be excited for an accessory-less Jabba at $40? He looks awesome... but I can already hear the complaining about value at $40 since most folks were expecting a Dais or carbonite han or crumb or whatever.
-
I think price is just something to eat with that line... I love the displayability of big items like the Speederbike and whatnot. Jabba on a Dais in 6" scale is going to look great... If they want it, they'll need to pony up for something like that. It's like undercutting Sideshow's stuff in a way, but you're not gonna land things cheaply either. Better than what 1/6 Jabba/Dais will run you though if you want those true eye-popping displays without the $100's.
-
Some boxed shots while you wait for the pics... :)
See what I mean with all that empty space in the Jabba box? Folks may have a hard time paying $40 for that if thay are already sick of paying $20 for a regular figure..

His arm rest thing, and bowl, ala that old Deluxe figure, would've been nice I think, filled out the space a bit, and would be relatively simple to have made. Few pieces, all told.
-
Deluxe shots will be going live in a minute here - Hasbro Black Series 6" Figures @ Toy Fair (http://www.jedidefender.com/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Conventions/Toy_Fair_2014/Hasbro/Star_Wars/Black%20Series_-_6_inch)
-
That Jabba's really nice... I think it's better than the bike and Scout personally and I love speederbikes for sure. That Jabba's just real neat though.
-

For me the value of Jabba depends on the price tag. If the figure is hollow rubber like the recent 4-inch releases, the price is rather steep with no accessories. If the figure is solid plastic, that would be a sturdy and heavy item, so the price would be justified to me.
-
Man, I love it, but they gotta put something else in that box! At least some frogs to snack on, the pipe, bowl, whatever.
So how much would the dais/Crumb set go for at SDCC? Maybe they could throw Oola in there to add some value?
Any estimated ship date on either of these deluxe items?
-
Fall 2014 (aka June/July retail resets). And they are in the same assortment. Plan is 1x Jabba and 1x Speeder Bike in a case.
Here's the press release blurb -
STAR WARSŪ THE BLACK SERIES 6-Inch Deluxe Action Figures
(Ages: 4 & up/ Approximate retail price: $39.99/ Available: Fall 2014)
The STAR WARS BLACK SERIES 6-inch Deluxe assortment takes STAR WARS action figures to the next level with the introduction of iconic in-scale vehicles and alien creatures, all featuring the incredibly accurate design and high level of articulation fans have come to expect from the STAR WARS BLACK SERIES. Each sold separately.
-
Hmmm... I'm not sure Jabba really interests me, though I suppose a bunch of accessories could change my mind on that.
But the Speeder Bike and Scout, now that's a great looking set. I'd have no problem paying $40 for that. 8)
-
In my best T-1000: "Say.. That's a nice bike."
-
Jabba looks amazing. He is kind of pointless without Crumb or the dais and I can see people shrugging their shoulders, especially at $40. It's a catch 22. People would probably shrug their shoulders at $80 for the whole shebang.
The speeder bike and scout - perfect. This will be very popular. I think we can expect Taun Tauns, Wampas, Dewbacks... if someone can ride it, they'll make it. If they sell. I'd love to see things like Palpatine and his throne, Max Rebo and his organ in this scale.
-
Both of these look great (thanks for all the great work/pics by the way Jeff). I agree, Jabba looks a bit lonely in that empty box all by himself though, too bad they couldn't cost out some extras in there. The Scout/Bike set is amazing too. I've been in on this line since the beginning, but never army built anything (so far), things like the Stormies and Scouts make it tempting though (if I had that money). $40 a pop would add up fast. Nice stuff though, definitely. Holding out hopes for a Taun Taun now!
-
Tauntaun is coming
-
I like both of these, but will hold out for sales similar to the main 6" line. You can get most of the figures still for $10-12 instead of the original $20. Biker Scout and Jabba should be available more in the $25-30 range. The figures look excellent, the packaging looks like a Dollar Store special.
-
I heard/read that Jabba was a SDCC exclusive? Any confirmations on this theory?
-
He'll be a regular release. Rumors are that there will be an exclusive version with Salacious Crumb and the dais. Other rumors that the Dias will be cardboard.
-

I agree with people's thoughts that the speeder bikes are going to go fast. I'd probably be willing to pay $40 for it.
I'm still not sold on the Jabba at $40 though. I'll have to see it in person before I pull the trigger, but have a feeling this one is going to shelf warm and be available on Amazon, etc. for closer to $20.
I am really stoked to see a Tauntaun, dewback, wampa, etc. Those would be cool, and I think probably would have been a better choice than a dias and accessory free Jabba.
-
If Jabba can't come with a dais at retail, it's going to hurt with all that open space in the box. If anything, throw in Salacious Crumb and/or Oola. The Speederbike definitely looks like you'd get more for your money than Jabba. It would have been nice to have Jabba a bit more SA, too so that he isn't always in a 'sitting' position and you could have his tail behind him as if he were moving around like in ANH. At least that's what I noticed by glancing at the photo... I could be wrong.
-
What's funny about this is Hasbro's overall assortment choices. They had Boba as a SDCC Exclusive and he quickly sold out. Then they put him in the main line series 2 and he quickly sells out, but they double up with Han in S2 and S3 instead of Boba.
Now, they will have Jabba as a SDCC Exclusive, but I would argue Jabba might not be quite as popular as Boba. Just a hunch. So people will have a shot at Jabba Excluisve and Jabba retail, but the more desirable figure that would probably sell better outright and will be bought up by army builders is limited to just 1 per case at retail.
So yes, we will have a massive shortage of Biker Scouts and Jabba's litering shelves and online stores everywhere. This isn't rocket science Hasbro. Come on.
-
I agree with the massive shortage of biker scouts. Other than Greedo and Han, I rarely see anything from this line.

Clicky to bid on this already... But don't piss around because it's only good for less than a day. I doubt it's the last one Viperskingdom puts up on Ebay though.

I spotted the 6" Jabba at Target this afternoon, but the Biker Scout sets were gone. I wasn't too impressed with Jabba. This is definitely an instance where I am torn on the whole 6" scale due to both price and detail. IMO the 2010 Jabba looks just as good as the 6" version, plus it had the throne, railing, a figure, and other bits for $5 less. I am still planning to pick up the Scout set, and I look forward to seeing how it stacks up against the 4" TRU exclusive version.
-
Picked up my biker scout just now at Target. They had both plus Jabba. I like Jabba and will be getting him, I'm just hoping I can score one if HTS ever releases them
-
I guess paint apps horrors strike this line, too. Yakface posted a picture (from Imperial Shipyards) of someone who had a Scout without a painted lens. That's gotta suck
-
As of this morning 3 of our local Targets were suddenly showing this DPCI in stock (count of 3) so I hit 2 of them on the way home and neither could find them in the store room. Odd. At least one of the places confirmed they are planning to do a reset next week so maybe then. :(
-
From both my past Target employment knowledge and what I was told at a couple local Targets this week many of them have "trapped" them on a transition pallet in back that will all be new stuff for that specific aisle when it resets so the likelihood you'll get an employee to rummage through a pallet for them isn't too high.
-
I got similar info from a friend. Most stores in our area already have the new 6" Deluxe as well as the new wave of 6" basic figures on pallets that are designated for the next reset. And that reset is loosely scheduled around tomorrow, August 3rd.
-
Sounds like they can start building the new pogo as of Sunday, but they have the whole week to get it done. So, good idea to start looking on the 3rd, but don't be surprised if the reset doesn't happen until later in the week.
-
I work for Target, the earliest they will reset the aisle is Monday. Since this is our Holiday expansion set, it involves quite a few moves. Complete aisles are moving. It really depends on your stores plan. Your right about showing on hands but no one can find it, it's palletized in the back room. Some stores were really light on toys and put the merchandise out as soon as it came in for presentation sake.
-
I actually spoke to the TL in toys at a Target earlier in the week and he said they had scheduled their reset for Sunday. Another local store already has their toy aisle done, so maybe thats true with your store, but not others.
-
Got my SDCC Jabba and it is an amazing figure. Loving it.
-
I've seen reports of Target reset dates before. In those cases I've checked out some area stores and found mixed results. Some stores reset on those reset dates and others do it within the next couple of days. I think it varies store to store based on inventory, staffing, customer volume in the stores at given times, etc.
-
One of the local targets where I saw them doing a reset required a whole crew of laborers. They were disassembling and rebuilding end caps with shelves. Not just placing new things on shelves.
-
Nice, I was finally able to snag the Speeder Bike set at Target today. Nothing on the shelf but for a chance the little price scanner computer said Store Room: YES. I waited in line for the CS associate (hate the Targets where these double as checkouts now) and she was able to get one pulled from the back for me. Success!
Have not opened him yet but am already concerned about "Bent Visor-Gate", as mine seems to suffer from this new affliction.
-
Ok, visor was a little askew but was pliable enough to push back into shape. Scout does not seem to quite sit fully down on the bike.
And now that the silly minor quibbles are out of the way, what a refreshingly kick-ass toy! I LOVE this thing! At least the one I got has nice crisp paint apps on both the speeder and figure, including some really nicely detailed dirt wash on the boots that was hard to appreciate from just photos. For some reason earlier online comments had lead me to believe the rear spoilers were not articulated, but they are and it's a great added detail, along with the movable underbelly gun.
I haven't ventured to remove the Scout from the Speeder Bike yet, as I will probably pose him as is, but he sure looks like a fine effort to me. I know there was some grumbling about the torso proportions, but it doesn't seem look glaringly funky that I can tell.
Of course, liking this thing so much, it is probably going to be impossible to resist picking up another one at some point, space be damned. They just look better in 2-man teams!
-
Saw the 6" Jabba at Target last night. For $40 I am not impressed. He is nicely painted and detailed but just seems so lonely in that big box. I think at least the hooka and Crumb should have been included at that price. It's just too expensive for that it is. The only movement he has is you move his arm to make his mouth open. The thing is shaped, looks and priced like a turd. I'm sure they will be impossible to find since Target doesn't restock star wars anymore beyond initial resets.
-
Picked up the Biker Scout deluxe set today. It looks really sharp, and I'm genuinely impressed by how good it looks. As for unboxing it ? That's probably going to have to wait a little while.
-
Can't find this speeder bike anywhere. Are you guys still finding them?
-
Can't find this speeder bike anywhere. Are you guys still finding them?
Not at all around here. In predictable Target fashion, they only bothered to order 1 measley case, and when that sold out right away they failed to order any more. No idea how long it will take them to eventually re-stock these.
1. Order product
2. Sell product
3. Order more product
It's not rocket science! :D
-
I've only been able to get a few from stockroom locations, and it looks like most Targets have sold thru their one case. I found one at TRU about a week ago, so might want to try there. Of course it suffered from the bent visor issue, so I passed on it.
-
Can't find this speeder bike anywhere. Are you guys still finding them?
I've only seen it the one time when I scored mine. And that was a couple of weeks ago.
-
I see them sporadically at Target and K-Mart... Don't hit TRU much ever to really call it, but they had Jabbas I know last I was there. I wasn't paying attention to what else though, just know Jabba was there.
-
I've seen a local Target restock these at least once since their reset.
-
The Speeder Bike has dropped to $42.99 (at least for now) on Amazon. If you have Prime, it's a pretty good deal.
http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00IJZFJYU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=Z14URO8YY3E3&coliid=I2KGEU2IWJF6J
-
He's actually only $34.99 on HTS (http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/star-wars-the-black-series-speeder-bike-vehicle-with-biker-scout-figure?BR=495&ID=33534)...
-
I'd been watching that but it had been out of stock for over a week... I figure with the free shipping on Prime it's not that big a difference, and I'm just happy to be done looking for one.
-
You can't find that? They're everywhere here. Target, K-Mart, TRU... Not hard to find at all locally. :-\
-
I've been to so many places looking for them it's disgusting, both in Chicago and in New Hampshire. I haven't seen one at retail yet and have been looking for weeks.
So I ordered on from Amazon and got it yesterday actually, and now I'm done looking. The extra couple of dollars was well worth it to me.
-
Wow that's one hell of a toy run!
-
I did a massive toy run and saw a few of these today...but only at a K-Mart and a TRU in BFE. Oh, and one Barnes and Noble but they wanted $50 for it so whateves.
-
Wow that's one hell of a toy run!
Indeed. I flew all the way out there to hit up about four Targets, and to see my wife and hike up Mount Monodnack.
Every Target has shelf tags for the thing, but none of them have it in the backroom.
-
My Targets, 3 of them, have had at least one for a while, and Jabba forever. Every K-Mart has the initial two they put out I believe, and TRU has some as well.
You know you flew there just to shop. You know it.
-
Speaking of things I haven't seen... the Jabba. I haven't been looking for one thanks to the SDCC version, but I haven't seen one in the wild.
-
I wouldn't say he's more numerous only because he isn't as heavily (heh) packed as the Scout, but he's usually who you do see if you don't see the Scout. I have a Target that he's all there is from TBS, either scale.
-
Both Jabba and the Speeder bike set are $35.49 each on TRU.com right now.
-
I am in for these guys. Pics from Yodanews.

Hope those are not final production pieces... if so, yuck on the unpainted Tauntaun horns - looked much nicer in the SDCC promo shots (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=23542.0). And ugh on Han still having the blue coat. ::)

I agree on the lack of paint apps, but hooray for the blue coat!!! >:D
-

I didn't notice the Tauntaun's horns at first... but same issue with the Wampa, too.
-
I could live with the Tauntaun horns, but the unpainted Wampa horns would be a deal breaker for me. Hopefully both undergo some changes to correct paint applications prior to production.
-
The costume book 100% confirms Han's coatis brown but Hasbro still leans to blue on figs. Wtf? On the 5 POA stuff for nostalgia fine but now that the debate is officially over they need to get their poop together on this issue and stick to film accuracy.
-
The costume book 100% confirms Han's coatis brown but Hasbro still leans to blue on figs. Wtf?
It's all about the mighty dollar, I bet. The only way to get the Tauntaun is to buy the blue coat Han since they'll release the proper Hoth Han separately. Otherwise, if they did movie accurate Han with the Tauntaun, no one would buy a single carded Blue coat one... or not as many people would anyway.
-
The Tauntaun horns are fine by me. As for the Wampa's horns? That seems a bit more egregious.
As for the coat? I have to think that Hasbro is playing a little game here. The blue coat appeals to the fan/collector who has some nostalgia for the vintage line. And then later on Hasbro will offer a corrected brown coat version of Hoth Han Solo in some other form... and we'll buy it again!
-
I'm no expert, but when I watched the movie recently on Blu-Ray, it looked blue to me. Like, plainly. Maybe it's a spectrum of light only visible to certain nerds. ;)
I already saw a lot of kvetching about these on the internets, but they look fine to me.
At some point they're going to have to figure out a way to pump out more army building sets that people will buy multiples of, like that Shadow Squadron dealio. I'm sure there are some battle droids coming they can repurpose the hell out of...
-
Did they really not sculpt a full holster for Hoth Luke? It has the VOTC Han syndrome where they sculpted the leg strap into the leg.
-
I'm pro blue coat but not a fan of the paint apps here, or the bloody chin really on the Wampa. That being said, really looking forward to these. I had expected the deluxe line to wobble a bit around here with Jabba, but he's actually the one that moves. The Speeder Bike lingers at 2 per case but moves. $40 is a big pull. These will do pretty good I think. Before they get into the endless variations (Endor Luke/Leia on the bike, Luke on the Taun Taun) I hope they keep pushing this range to its limits. I'd like to see the Landspeeder, but also set pieces, like maybe Cantina stuff, Hoth stuff (E-Web blaster! Radar dish!). I wonder how much of a stretch something like the Skiff would be. Snowspeeder. Probably not that much.
-
Blue coat arguments, at this point, are only fair game for the nostalgia argument... The accuracy argument's a done deal though. Buy the costumes book that's out there... not to mention the myriad of photos Scott's posted for years that proved it, but now LFL's definitively published the information too.
Nostalgia of the vintage figure I get, but accuracy should be paramount on a $20 figure like this.
Where's Scott when I need him? ::)
Oh, and BTW, FFS on the phantom hanging holster thing if they did that... Ugh. I hate that stuff on 4" figures, much less "premium" toys like this.
-
You guys are all colorblind. The coat is red. Han Solo first fought for the British in the revolutionary war and Lucas was throwing that easter-egg in there for true fans.
It only looks blue on screen because of funny lighting, and it only looks brown at museums because of really funny lighting.

2 Hans and a Speederbike... Not a bad assortment. Wisely NOT carrying Jabba forward helps.
You can also get Han individually if you wish:

Luke and Wampa, as originally announced, would have worked better in this wave, IMO. Now they're pushed out into limbo?
I see tons of Biker Scout sets everywhere I go...it's great but geez, the demand has been met by now. Not a lot of people are going to be buying multiples of these at $35 a pop. (Ok, I admit I have 5 but I'm nuts)

Pass. You can find Speederbikes for $25 now, so that's about $50 per Han & Tauntaun set, of which I only plan to buy one anyway. Glad they at least carried the Scout Trooper forward vs. Jabba though.
