Title: Sideshow 12" Lando Calrissian
Post by: Brian on February 17, 2009, 08:47 AM: It looks like Lando (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=6292) is on the way. I haven't bought one of these in a looong time, but this one is awfully tempting. The headsculpt looks pretty well done to me. Looks like only 750 made, so I could see this one being tough. I don't know if I even remember how to order these things anymore ;).

Oh well, did get in on the regular. Unless it's a fantastic exclusive like the Mynock, I don't get upset about missing the exclusive version.

Interesting focus. What made you want to do a Lando focus Ryan?

I've been wanting to get a focus collection going for awhile now but it has taken me awhile to decide on the right character/theme. I was heavily leaning towards a OT character to focus on, because I wanted it to include some vintage stuff. I thought about some smaller side/auxiliary characters, I almost chose Tusken Raiders, but I decided I wanted to do a main character. I thought about Obi-Wan but I knew someone with an Obi-Wan focus already... ;) Most of the main characters though have had so much product over the years, except for one. Lando seems to have gotten the shaft. For a character in 2 of the 3 OT movies he hasn't had a whole lot of product made of him. His figures don't get repacked all that often. Which makes it quite manageable to track a lot of it down. I have always really liked Lando as well so it seems like a good fit. :)
