Call me crazy, but I have several 501st and Shock Troopers that I want to convert to plain white clones so I can add my own markings and designations. I have never tried to remove factory paint, I usually just paint over it for my customs, but I want to keep from painting these completely white by removing the factory paint. What is the best thing to use to remove the markings on these clones?

Crazy :D

yea, your definetley a crazy, but some of those parts are actually molded in the colors your are talkin about removing, i'd think you will prolly have to paint the colored portions white. again, your crazy! but good luck! ;D

Why not buy some regular #41s and paint those?
-
Crazy because I never even saw a 501st clone in a store, but hundreds of #41 (plain) clones.

Hmm. I didn't notice it till someone mentioned it, but yeah the Senate pack Shock Troopers feet are molded in red along with the belt and the shoulder joint piece. The 501st clones I am refering to are the Battle Pack ones not the ROTS single card ones. The reason I don't just buy a bunch of the #41 clones is two fold. One I tend to spend most of my extra cash buying my 3 year old Star Wars figures and two my local stores either never have anything due to scalpers or poor distribution. Not really sure which it is since there is always the same old Derlins, Veers, and Poggles lkeeping the pegs full.

You could probably make a trade on here, I'm sure someone would love to trade plain white clones for 501st or shocks. :)

Yep, I would, lol. ;D

So would I! :)

Count me as three for trading.
