Other Collectibles / Re: Playskool Galactic Heroes Thread

Yeah, I got the snowspeeder a little bit ago and was really impressed. I had seen it earlier when I was trying to cut back on GH stuff, so I didn't get it. But then I saw it again and noticed that it came with the probe droid (which I hadn't realized), so that sold me on the set. I really like the vehicles in general.

I'm tempted to preorder Slave 1 at BBTS even though I don't really want the Endor Attack one that they're bundling it with. $50 for the two of them doesn't even include their usual markup, does it? Or are they still selling at $20 apiece in some cases?

I simply MUST have the GH AT-AT. They've got the darned things basically made. Just let me get it online if necessary.

Yes. The WF Chewie looks to be more of a solid brown color and the EB Chewie has more highlights, esp. the face and the ammo pouch is a different color as well.

EB Chewie:

That's the Early Bird Chewie? Mine doesn't look anything like that. If anything it's close to the bottom version.

If he has over 500 feedback and the item was packed well, I don't think it makes sense to assume that he was just lying. At least contact him to give him a chance to make it right. I wouldn't just file a complaint with paypal right off the bat.

I clicked on this thread specifically to see if there was a 3PO spud -- and there is! He will be mine!

I bought two boxes and didn't get a yoda in either one, by the way.

I got mine from HLJ a while back and I'm pretty sure there were only 8 in a box.

Yeah, to be honest the chases do nothing for me. I may try and get a set of 6 at some point, but there's no way I'm getting even a box of 12.

I guess this is the last chase figure. I'm not a vintage collector, but it reminds me of a "first shot" prototype.

LOL   I thought Kubs were unbreakable ;D
Y'know, Kubricks have been amongst the most brittle figures that I've ever collected.  Arms and legs break off when these things fall 6 inches.  Maybe they are being sarcastic with their tag line.
I think the unbreakable thing just refers to the fact that you can't (for the most part) disassemble them like you can many other kubricks.

I believe he's referring to the fact that you're supposed to declare on your income tax stuff like the profit made by selling things online. This is a separate issue from sales tax, which as private individuals we aren't required to collect.  I doubt that many people actually do declare this stuff though.

The AT-ST is cool, but it doesn't exactly scream "ESB" to me, and I agree that there are some other things that might have been better. Of course they don't all lend themselves to the "build-a-figure" concept as well. In any case this does not make me want to get all of the figures in the series in the same way that Jabba and his throne does (although I still may do that).

Don't know if this has been posted here or not, but one of the chases is apparently based on an early Kenner figure with a launching missile.

As for the 400% 3PO, I can't see that going for the $200-$300 range, $90. is not bad. My guess, $100.-$120. range & that will depend on the edition size.

I agree. I would say $150 max, but hopefully lower. Unless it's some crazy limited edition or something.
