Dallas needs some work...I don't see them going back to the Playoffs this year
I'm reminded of a certain NFC Championship game in which the Vikes were shutout 41-0 when they had the #1 offense in the league. Defense wins championships, and as such, neither Dallas NOR Minnesota should be booking hotel rooms for the Super Bowl just yet.
I give the Eagles the advantage because they are at home but Randy loves to light people up on National TV...
I still say that Philly is the best team in the NFC right now, but I guess only time will tell.
Time as in tonight!
Shaun Alexander back in the hizzouse! Sorry Dustrho, maybe you should rename your team the "Dustrho self-Destruction" for the week?
Plus the Bears lost! Although the margain should have been a lot larger with all of the injuries the Bears have (although the Vikes have almost as many of O...Kleinsasser, Bennett, Birk and Rosenthal)Shaun Alexander back in the hizzouse! Sorry Dustrho, maybe you should rename your team the "Dustrho self-Destruction" for the week?
If it makes you feel better... sure.
Too bad about Grossman. Wait! He's my 4th string QB! What will I do now if Rattay, Bledsoe and Vick go down?!? :P
Jeff
Onterrio will be on the bench for a while
Well, looks like Gannon did hurt himself pretty bad. Broken vertebre. Out 6 weeks.
Rams... Well, they sucked. Punked in OT by the lowly Saints? Argh!! >:(
I'm almost positive I heard he can't play this year for any team let alone the Dolphins
Under league rules, a player in the NFL's drug program faces suspension if he returns in the calendar year after he announces his retirement. If he returns after a year, he faces a lesser suspension.
Anyone else hear that huge sucking sound to my East?
Has anyone seen this one yet?

Head on over to the Buc's website and watch the intro...

Was just reading through the "NFL Power Rankings" over at ESPN, and they had a blurb with the Vikings that Daunte Culpepper is currently on pace for 5,364 yards, 52 Touchdown Passes, and 4 Interceptions. Unbelievable.
Have I mentioned that my Raiders suck ass?! Sheesh. They're BAD.
Fork meet Cowboys. Done.(http://theforum.dallasgothic.com/html/emoticons/puke.gif)Their D has been horrible, I've been impressed with Vinny and the O, but to give up 41 to the Pack and to roll over to the Steelers is really, really not good
I must be the only Seahawks fan that knew all the pre-season hype was just that - hype. (snip)
Stupid Vikings. >:(
Yeah that was one of those plays that usually happens TO the Vikes. I swear, I really do swear, this defense makes every quarterback they face look like Joe Montana in his prime
so, how about some predictions for the coming year?
Alrighty then, barring any major injuries tonight, here goes
AFC East: New England Patriots
AFC North: Baltimore Ravens
AFC South: Indianapolis Colts
AFC West: Kansas City Chiefs
AFC Wild Card #1: New York Jets
AFC Wild Card #2: Cincinnati Bengals
AFC Championship: Indianapolis beats New England
Now, Tennessee and Denver I think also have legitimate shots at both the Wild Card and their Division Titles, its just the Jets and Bengals play in an easier division, plus the Jets get to play SF and ARI. New England and the Colts should be the two best teams, and I think the Colts are going to find a way to get homefield. Should be a great year in the much more competitive AFC
NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles
NFC North: Minnesota Vikings
NFC South: Atlanta Falcons
NFC West: Seattle Seahawks
NFC Wild Card #1: Washington Redskins
NFC Wild Card #2: Green Bay Packers
NFC Championship: Philly over Minnesota
Two most overrated teams in football are the Saint Louis Rams and the Green Bay Packers this year. I've seen them both ranked in the top 10 in a lot of preseason rankings and I think that is total B.S. They have both gotten worse over last year and Mike Martz is still the head coach of the Rams. The NFC South is definitely the most competitive division in Football and could easily see both Wild Cards or all 4 teams challenge for the Division spot in the playoffs. Its possible Dallas and Detroit are contending for that last Playoff spot but I don't think its gonna happen
Super Bowl: Indianapolis over Philadelphia
You heard it here first :-*
As far as my team, the Purple and Gold, The Vikings are on the right track but they have a lot of young talent that needs one more year to come together on D. This is Philly's year finally, they signed the big free agents and they are poised to go deep. Home field will be huge as always and so are injuries, everything could change in the breaking of Peyton Manning's leg in Week 1
Hey Colman, I'm gonna order one of these - you want me to get an extra for you??
(stupid ass shirt removed)
Yeah, I know - "Bite me, Jersey"
:-*
As for my squad...I better not say anything
I would have thrown a lot more ******* and ***** in there but that is the jist of it
As for my squad...I better not say anything
You mean like that they're an underachieving bunch of **** bags that in spite of their talent, really don't deserve to be in the playoffs given the bull**** effort they mailed in as a team this year?
A hunting friend of mine (whose sister is married to Bud Grant's son,
Mike), just told me that Mike Tice will be fired unless they do well in the
playoffs (playoffs) and Bud Grant is in negotiations with Red for a 2
million a year contract to become the new coach...Believe it or not?
I'm a believer that Reid is an idiot for benching his starters like that. I really can't see how that helps your team at all. Especially losing and having NO momentum going in to the playoffs

Stick it right up your cocky ass Farve
No I am not kidding, the dude runs up and sticks his mug in Defenders faces more than any QB in Football. Since the Defense won them a Super Bowl and then they got their asses kicked the next year he has been average at best. Still the media and casual NFL fan thinks he's the greatest QB in the league right now...there's about 12 I'd rather have than good old Interception Beth(http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/superbowl/gb/020120favre-towel.jpg)

You're kidding right? Favre is one of the classiest athletes in the world.
fitting that Seattle's season ends on a dropped pass. That team sucks and I totally see Shaun Alexander bouncing out of town.

The mock "mooning" by Moss after the TD will keep the local sports radio busy ALL week long. Tasteless or funny? Depends on if you were wearing Green-n-Gold or Purple I guess...
Hey everyone in Lambeau Field...Kiss my Ass, I just beeotched you again!
I don't think GB has really that much better a shot at winning than Minnesota, though I certainly give them the edge. Their record isn't stellar and the beat the Vikes twice by having Minnesota gas it in the fourth, winning by 3 both times. If, and it's a massive if, the defensive puts in half an effort and Culpepper can get his side going, Minnesota has a decent shot.
Scott the Viking are coming to Philly next week it will be all over for them then...they are just delaying the inevitable. THey can have there moment, but now they will have to deal with a defense and offense far superior to theirs.
I'm truly amazed at how much press on talk on ESPN Radio the Randy Moss thing got.
He did it because the Green Bay fans always moon the other team's bus on their way into the stadium. They've been doing that since man discovered fire. He just gave them a little back. The fact that this has created so much outrage is quite humorous to me. The fans actually show their asses when they moon the team bus, Moss didn't.
Anyway, looking forward to a Rams/Colts Superbowl now!
jedimac disillussioned as to who's going to be in the superbowl
Redhawk, Morburg, and all the other nasayers let me make it clear to you, since I'm not a humble person I TOLD YOU SO!
oh but see MorgBUG I'm so much more prolific than the rest of you bourgeois. As for my humility I known much more for my facetious tone than actually prognosticating my own humility. I guess that was missed.
Get Bent :P
Next week I'll say Eagles win and so do the Pats...sorry Pitt guys and Mikey D will be in Sports Heaven for all eternity
Get Bent :P
I was just remembering when Trotter was out there this last summer screaming to my buddy that the Purple should sign him. Eagles got a steal by bringing him back.
I cannot believe how bad the Colts stunk it up today. I love watching the Pats too though so I didn't really care who won.

Go Steelers!!! :P
G'damn! ****** playoffs so far for any team I'm even remotely rooting for. My Rams got waxed. My wife's Packers got spanked. Chargers choked. And the Colts got beeotched. That leaves... the Steelers!
It's nothing to get excited about. It's just going to set Philly fans up for more disappointment.
Do you hate the eagles because your teams doesn't even get close to the superbowl or do you not like the eagles because they have been to the cahmpionship game 3 times. Either way you come off petty(no less than me anyway)

Roethlisberger's gonna take a lot of the heat, and that isn't fair considering our pass coverage was non-existant tonight (Brady had his pick of downfield throws it seemed), and a lot of the plays were botched at times by receivers.

No no, I hate the Eagles because while my Bucs were on their way to throttling them in their own stadium in the 2002 NFCC game, Eagle fans in the stands were asking Bucs WR Joe Jurevicous where his son was and why his son hadn't made it to the game.
His infant son, who had died days earlier.
It's not the team, it's the city and it's fans. Hell I like Andy Reid and I like Donovan McNabb, but I'm not going to root for a team who needed a courthouse in their stadium to expedite the proseuction of a bunch of battery throwing knuckleheads. Finally getting to the Superbowl is nice and all - but there's no way the Eagles will win it. Which will make it all the more fun to watch.
Go Steelers!!! :P

By all means, root for the patriots then. ::) :P
I am nervous that the Eagles may infact lose, but you know what I have something to celebrate this year unfortuantley you don't.
JJKS
Why should I be humbled?
...unlike others on this board who believe I asm ehat I am.
Rumor in the paper today that said Emmitt is retiring and is going to join the group led by Reggie Fowler to buy the Vikes
More Viking "class" (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/football/nfl/specials/playoffs/2004/02/02/bc.fbn.superbowl.culpep.ap/index.html?cnn=yes)PS That story is bull****
Looks like Randy's idiocy is starting to rub off on his teammates... :P
:P
Shoe meet other foot. You deserve it and it was pretty mild at that. Your reading comprehension still lacks though, as you always miss the rest of the comments that are included. In point of fact, post game no one has said Philly didn't play great or that it wasn't one of the better super bowl games ever.
Humble. Pie. You may not like it, but you're eating it. :-*
sincerely,
heckler ;D
