Feedback / steve32100's feedback
« on: August 26, 2004, 05:10 PM »
I just completed a wonderful transaction with steve32100.  Steve sold me (practically gave away) some great figs at rock bottom prices, and help fill some huge gaps in my collection.  Great communication, lightspeed shipping, items arrived Minty, and was very nice to deal with.  Thanks again Steve! :)

I'm hearing that you can get the figure by preordering the game at EBGames for $5.

Is the figure going to ship with the game as well?

I went to my local Electronics Boutique to reserve/pre-order Battlefront this past Friday for XBOX.  When I asked the store employee if the game comes with the exclusive Biker Scout figure with pre-order, he absolutely had no idea what I was talking about. ??? I pre-ordered it anyway figuring that maybe I was a bit more informed than he was, and that they would get notice closer to the release date.  Also EBgames.com has listed all Battlefront platforms(PC,PS2,XBOX) as receiving a bonus free action figure Biker Scout with pre-order/and or in store pick-up EBgames pre-order Star Wars Battlefront.  So who knows?

Feedback / Re: STANDUP SELLER = biolachris aka Chris Stanley
« on: July 29, 2004, 05:06 PM »
For the record biolachris came through with a full refund as promised and very quickly I might add.  I was way too quick to post negative feedback,as I was ripped off a while back and thought this was clearly another case.

I apologize for any harm or damage I may have caused to biolachris's reputation or future dealings on this board.  It seems I still have a thing or two to learn about patience and giving someone the benefit of the doubt before spouting off at the mouth,or in this case the keyboard.

FWIW,I have edited the title to reflect the resolution of the transaction and have deleted my initial post.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Episode III Title?
« on: July 24, 2004, 09:48 PM »
STAR WARS ROCKED SDCC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was fortunate enough to be one of the 6500 seated in Hall H when they revealed the title of Ep.III- REVENGE OF THE SITH ;D  The 2 hour presentation was wonderful IMO.  It included the expected promotion of the upcoming OT DVD/BattleFront video game, various never before shown archival footage, more upcoming video games(Republic Commando, yet to be named Ep.III video game).

But, it started getting good when they introduced Carrie Fisher for a little Q&A for about 25 minutes,an hour into it.  A few more video clips,Ep.III package reveal and then enter the rather portly Rick MaCallum.

He brought some very cool behind the scene Ep.III footage, some more Q&A and then  treated us with some killer video of Hayden in the Vader suit, donning the Helmet and a quick shot of the ANH looking Vader standing/looking at a cloaked Sidious/Emperor. :o ;D

Now this is where is starts to get AWESOME,Steve Sansweet introduces someone no one expected to see..... Hayden Christensen!! :o  No surprise the fans go go CRAZY!  The panel(Steve,Rick,Hayden) get to talking, nothing most of us haven't heard before.  Hayden bulked up for the role, intensive fight training, etc.  Q&A opened up and on one of the question was asked who is the better swordsman Ewan or you?  Hayden playfully smacked "I can beat him with one hand behind my back". ;D  but later replied both of them as being pretty equal.

I'm saving the best for last.  Steve teased us at the begining of the presentation "That we may be rewarded with something special at the end of the show." and boy he wasn't kidding!  The lights dim playing on the giant screens the best sequences of each movie ending with the title.   Then what everyone was dying to see.  The Duel to end all Duels flashes than the money shot with a triumphant John Williams famous crescendo ending: Star Wars Episode III- REVENGE OF THE SITH.  The crowed erupts, and roars with the most thunderous cheers of the afternoon!

With that the lights come on revealing steve ripping off his Vader jersey to reveal the killer Revenge of the Sith exclusive T-shirt  now on sale at the Star Wars pavillion.  The mad dash was on...... and so was the cluster f**k of the massive line. >:(   but it was all good in the end, as I luckily managed to get my ROTS T-shirts. :)  Man,I can't wait to experience Revenge of the Sith!

I am hoping to get two of the grey suit Boba's.  One to keep boxed and the other to customize.  After this weekend of customizing my first 12" with the "Ultimate Jango Fett" into a more realistic/better body, I am quite pleased with the results.  I plan to do the same with Boba, and have the baddest bounty hunters in the galaxy, father and son back to back. ;D

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Vintage OTC Figures
« on: July 7, 2004, 05:15 PM »
Well,

I just cancelled my wave 1 / wave 2 / wave 2.5 pre-order and ordered 2x wave 2.5 cases instead...

I might have to wait a bit longer, but I'd rather not have all the unwanted extras.  Plus, it'll be cheaper since I have less cases to order and will save on shipping too.

Now, I just need will-power to pass on wave 1 when I find them at Retail...

 :)

Jeff

Likewise,I just cancelled my Wave 2 order with EE,darn Hasbro and their case assortment changes. ::)  Placed my order for 2 cases of Wave 2.5 as I want 1 of each carded and loose. I've been checking daily when wave 3 would be on pre-order and like most everyone else I placed my order with EE,as I am certain these figs will be the most difficult to find at retail.  Thanks JD for another "first to bring you news" scoop!   ;D

I found one lone Leia cup at one of my local Targets while looking for some OTC this past weekend.  This was the first time I saw her and quickly snatched her up.  I also was lucky enough to pick up the Anakin/Luke cups about a month ago.  That was the first and last time I saw those, and since then that Target has restocked with a whole pile of Maul/Obi-Wan cups.   ??? Wierd.

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Vintage OTC Figures

Any word on a VOTC Emperor Palpatine?  From the reports it seems like the SWS.com exclusive figure will be "The Man" himself, more than likely a holo Saga Emperor.  It would be Awesome and fitting that one of the most important characters from the Saga and often overlooked characters be made over in "Ultimate" form and maybe as some kind of exclusive.

As of now Hasbro hasn't done a stellar job of recreating the Emperor in plastic form.(Hint,Saga Emperor)  I can imagine him now:

-Soft goods robe similar to VOTC Obi-Wan's but a bit looser, with long flowing cuffs and walking stick.

-Super Articulation w/articulated knees so you can sit him down on his lazy
 boy.

-Removable arms/hands ala Dagobah Luke with Force Lighting attached to the other set of arms/hands similiar to Unleashed Darth Tyranus.

-And of course an accurate face sculpt/color with that  "Oh so sweet" smirk.  The one he gave Luke right before he gave him the Old Sparky treatment.

Can you tell I really want a VOTC Emperor? After all he did play a masterful game of "Who wants to take over the Galaxy",and I think that deserves a decent figure. :)
